I love vibe of room that classic modern that can connect us

I dont like when have issues about blanket that tore , boss dont want listen just make assumption and negative talk toward me. I dont like how boss handle this matter. First ask n if u dont like the answer tell carefully that i need to pay. Not like told me that my name in his record , when i stay next time there no second chance to negotiate

Very good location, and Fuan looked after me really well. He gave me advice on places to visit and made sure I had everything I needed. He also packed me little bags with food when I was leaving for the day. He was an amazing host.He made my experience very seamless. I stayed in a private room with bathroom. There was no TV, but I didn't need it - I just wanted to mention it in case this was important to someone else. It's close to everything, and the free CAT bus station is 5 mins walk to take you more centrally. The place was clean and well maintained. Yes, the walls are a bit thin and you can hear everything but i was shattered after walking all day so I had a good night sleep regardless. I can't fault this place, I think it's good value for money. I would stay here again

This is not something the owner can likely change but I really missed having a window and fresh air in my room. It could get a bit stuffy

Located in the centre of the town, easy to find attractions and activities. The hotel staff is kind and they give cool recommendations.

No curtain, nouçt enough toilet, you should go 1 stairs down all the time. But also they are building one and probably will be better soon.

We got several tips through our stay of places to visit - communicative and helpful prior to check in via booking messages - The guest house provides laundry service for a small fee, as well as a small kitchen that you can use - There is a water dispenser with cold and hot water, as well as tea available - QR code wifi for easy connection - Plug next to bed - the staff gave us chocolate cake two times and also offered biscuits - The common areas were super clean all the tine - there is a book shelve with some books you can read - Good location walking distance to main attractions of George Town, as well as good restaurants and bus stop

- the room is not too bright and the milky glass wall does not give so much privacy - there is not much sound proof walls between the rooms - there was a sewage smell in the toilet, which they told us it would get fixed (not out request to fix) on a specific day, but then no one came and we - The toilet floor takes some time to dry after showers because there is no air ventilation - If you like to have your laundry dry without machine, it may take some time

Despite the size of the dorm with 20 beds inside it was very cosy!! The kitchen can be used, the internet is excellent and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Toiletries and water refill are available. Super easy and fast self check-in offered. The Komtar Building is next to the hostel and nearly every bus line stops right in front of yout door. I loved my stay and even extended for a few nights - thank you so much, dear team!

Toilets are often short of toilet paper. Of course everyone wants to set another airconditioning temperature, so I would prefer that only the staff decides about the temperature.

As a couple, we stayed in the dormitory room at this homestay, and the experience was amazing! At first, we were a bit concerned about privacy and comfort, but we were pleasantly surprised. The room and common areas were spotless, with clean beds and sparkling bathrooms—it felt even cleaner than some hotels! Even though it was a shared dorm, each bunk had curtains or partitions, so privacy was well-maintained, and we never felt uncomfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and thoughtful, not only recommending nearby attractions and restaurants but also offering helpful tips that made our stay even better. What stood out most was the excellent security—24-hour surveillance and access control made us feel 100% safe throughout our stay. Whether you’re a couple or traveling solo, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

Very nice, clean hostel in a quiet, well-lit, location. Comfortable beds. Good sized lockers under bed. Staff were nice, always helpful, and always had a smile for me. If you want somewhere outside of the busy area, this is a good shout. Less than 5 mins walk from a lovely, air-conditioned shopping mall too. A night-market selling food and drink just a few doors down, which I enjoyed. The place was always clean, and there was always someone there to answer any questions or help you out if needed. I enjoyed my stay here!

Very quiet hostel, so if you are looking for something even a little bit social, this is not it. The room had aircon but because my bed was at the very end of the room, and at an opposite angle, it probably didn't reach me like it reached the other beds, so I was quite hot a lot of the time. At the same time, I had more privacy at the end of the room which was nice.

We stayed at Dou Houz guesthouse 4 nights in total, 3 different rooms with private bathroom. Rooms are simple but spacious, comfortable and clean and the A/C and fan work well. There’s a shared kitchen guests can use, which is well equipped and clean. Check-in/out process works smoothly. Our host was accommodating. Value for money, unbeatable.

We stayed at Dou Houz guesthouse 4 nights in total, 3 different rooms. In our last night we found worms in the bathroom. Also, there’s a food/bar court right next to the guesthouse, which is very noisy until 12 am or a bit longer (earplugs worked well tho).

Loved the double room! Super spacious, you've got an upstairs area with a big bed, a table and a wardrobe, and a downstairs area with a bathroom and a sofa to chill on. Most space we've had in all of Malaysia. The room and public kitchen were both super clean, the accommodation was easy to find. The host was super nice and helpful. We could leave our bags with him on the day of check out before our late evening flight, he shared his cake with us, and even offered us to take a shower and use the other facilities after check out. Would definitely return :)
