The Londonder in St. Julian’s, Malta, is an outstanding choice for anyone seeking a comfortable and welcoming stay. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that all guests feel at home. For my partner, who is on the spectrum and has a fear of lifts, we were particularly grateful for the high-maintenance lifts. They were in excellent condition and well-maintained, offering reassurance with smooth and quiet operation, making the experience much more comfortable for my partner. The Londonder’s combination of cleanliness, high-quality service, and attention to special needs makes it a wonderful choice for anyone looking for a stress-free stay in St. Julian’s. We would highly recommend it!

It is a 3 star hotel but it fulfills all requirements of its class at the highest level. Well equiped room (furniture, coffee facilities), excellent breakfast, daily room service (change of towels), 24 hours reception, very helpful personnel, good relation of value for money. The location fulfills every possible need: numerous restaurants ranging from luxury ones to pleasant fast food, night life, supermarkets and convenience shops, bus stop to everywhere, tourist agencies, taxi station. I'm sure I forget more merits.

Even though the breakfast selection was the same every day, you had some choices. You don't leave the table hungry. The location is great, close to bus lines, shopping areas, various ethnic restaurants. There are also two grocery stores on the street. The pool is on the terrace of the building next to the hotel. The pool is like a beach club, they serve food and drinks - great cocktails. Basic sun loungers (+towels) are free - soft sun loungers by the pool are for an additional fee of €10 The hotel staff is friendly and helpful.

The view from our balcony wasn't really pleasant - a construction site, abandoned buildings or buildings under renovation. But, since you're only in the room to sleep, we didn't miss the view. A little more attention to cleaning the shower stalls because mold is accumulating.

We booked a room without a balcony and with a small window, but they gave us a better room when we checked in, thank you! The area itself is quite convenient, close to transport and a convenient transport interchange. But if you want to relax at night, the street is quite noisy and under the windows there are parties until 6 am, which can be heard even with the windows closed. Breakfasts are not bad, but quite monotonous, every day everything is the same. It was a little embarrassing that one night, someone from the staff burst in on us while we were sleeping, they just opened the door with their key and went in at night, then apologized and quickly left, it was strange. The hotel is price-quality.

It’s close to bus stations, small beach, shops and restaurants. It is modern equipped. We didn’t know the pool is not in the same building so we had to walk to an other one. Staff is nice and polite.

The air conditioner blew straight into the bed and we woke up stiff and we couldn’t stop it, also the air flow is not adjustable. In front of the hotel is always full of drunk teenagers because there are discos around and the street is really dirty. Breakfast was poor, cheap products, same every day.

The hotel is nice, and the staff are very friendly and happy to help with any questions or requests. Breakfast is the same every day, but very tasty and with a good variety to choose from. That said, a plus is that the balcony doesn’t face a noisy street with lots of foot traffic. If these details don’t bother you, feel free to book — the hotel has its good sides!

There are some cleanliness issues in the rooms — for example, we found someone else’s hair on the pillows and in the shower, and the mirrors weren’t very clean. The biggest downside was the view from the balcony: it looked out onto an unfinished or abandoned building and a pile of garbage below, which local rats seem to frequent.

We stayed at this hotel for one day, and the experience left a very positive impression. The first thing worth mentioning is the excellent location: the hotel is conveniently situated near a bus stop, close to the beach, and in the city center. The room was cozy and compact, featuring a comfortable bed and a modern interior design. The hotel staff deserve special praise: they were friendly, attentive, and even assisted with an early check-in, which we greatly appreciated. Breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of options. I would definitely recommend this hotel and, given the opportunity, would gladly stay here again!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights and we really liked it! The hotel staff is super accommodating and friendly, and the room is nicely decorated in a modern way. I would just suggest putting some hangers in the bathroom since there's only one that is not enough. The breakfast was really good, but there wasn't that much choice. There is a bit of everything, don't get me wrong, but a bit more would be great! The location is in the center of all happenings, which is excellent for getting around, but be aware that it's surrounded by clubs. Our room was facing the other way, to some sort of abandoned building, so the view wasn't that nice, but we could barely hear the noise and we stayed here on the weekend accompanied by a holiday - meaning 3 party nights in a row! All in all, I highly recommend staying at this hotel!

The Londoner surpassed all my expectations - it was outstanding. Staff are so welcoming and kind, genuinely friendly and helpful, the room was much bigger than expected, spotlessly clean and the bed and pillows were so comfy. Plenty wardrobe space, fridge and kettle, hairdryer, all that I thought was missing was an iron but that was brought up upon request which was perfect. There's no pool on-site but we had access to a rooftop pool 1 minute away, with a bar serving food...usually expensive (€25 per sunbed) but free for guests, and it was fabulous! The location is excellent, it is a busy street with one-way traffic and narrow footpaths but lots of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars around, we were glad to have stayed there so we had the nightlife of St. Julians within 1 minute walking distance (no noise heard within the hotel though), and the beach, harbour and quieter areas 5 to 10 mins walk away. Buses to Valetta etc were less than 5 mins walk away. Overall the hotel is about 10 mins from Valetta and 20 mins from St. Paul's Bay, but we were more than happy to stay in St. Julians. Already planning to go back to stay in the Londoner next year!

We first had a room without a balcony (which we'd booked and were delighted with) but found it a little dark. We stayed an extra unplanned 2 days and moved to a room with a balcony, which was a smaller room but brighter and airy. The first room was still beautiful though, just an observation. One suggestion would be to have hooks or extra shelf space in the bathroom, even hooks on the back of the bathroom door would let toiletries bags be hung up. Again, not a big deal at all. The only 1 negative was the building work going on outside the hotel...this isn't the hotel's fault and wouldn't stop me going back there at all!
