Incredible design in a very heart of the city, but still on a quiet street, so you are able to sleep nice and sound. Very nice design and history of the building that 600 years is already within the same family of founding members. Impeccably clean and has all necessary utensils, like kettle, tea bags, small toiletries and all what is needed for a comfortable stay. I WOULD DEFINITELY CHOOSE THIS NICE HOTEL AGAIN AND AGAIN, IF I NEED TO STAY IN VALETTA. Very convenient to go to the airport from this spot or to the ferry to Gozo.

Please take care, when choosing a room. Some rooms are only on the upper floors accessible by very steep and windy stairs. No lift. You have to carry your luggage like to the 6th floor. The reception is contactless as is access to the rooms. It is convenient. But no one to help you with the luggage. So if you have any back or other health issues it is strongly recommended to make sure that you live on the first floors. Otherwise could be difficult.

The location was perfect - close to Valetta centre and to all transport options. Casa Asti is a beautifully decorated 17th century residence. Our room was very pretty, clean, and comfortable. Annie, who is 92, was a delight - she is obviously the soul of Casa Asti. There is so much to love about this place.

Communication with the staff was difficult, especially when the restaurant was closed - we did not see anyone for 3 days to ask for recommendations or help. Maybe using What's App with guests might assist timely communication. Certainly. some friendly touches would make a huge difference - some maps, books, info about the restaurant? Casa Asti is an impersonal airbnb rather than a boutique hotel.

The hotel is ideally located for the centre of Valletta. The room is individually styled, you could even say ‘quirky’. Thankfully for us, there was no TV as all our time was spent exploring the many sites of interest in Malta.

Our room (no 8. It’s called Mary) was at the top of the hotel. A lot of steps up. Not a problem for us but may be a lot for others. This room does not have en-suite. The shower/ toilet is a short walk across the corridor. Again, we found it not to be a massive drama however I can foresee a problem for others. No real interaction with the hotel staff as you’re given a key to go out/ in at your discretion. Also worth noting that there was no breakfast before at least 9am as this hotel was room only. However plenty of great places within 5-10 min walk for a croissant and a brew.

What a lovely little hotel this is - in a very central spot, but extremely quiet at night so a guarantee of a good night's sleep! Comfy beds and very clean linen. Towels replaced every day and beds made. We had an en suite bathroom (room 5) whilst our friends in room 7 had an external private bathroom - all spotlessly clean. We didn't see much of the staff but when we did they were super friendly and welcoming. It is so close to restaurants, bars, and all the major tourist sites - all easily walkable - just as well, as it's a mostly pedestrian area.

The bathroom for Room 5 is seriously tiny so you need to know your room-mate very well :) Also, if you have mobility probems, there is no lift, and there's a lot of steps up to your room (but it's Valletta!!)

Not far from the airport and a great central location. The place itself is really nice. Clean throughout, well equipped rooms with a great traditional maltesse feel. I took my daughter on a girly trip for 3 days for her 17th birthday. At no point during the stay did I feel unsafe being to females alone. The thing that made it for us was the staff. Matthias, Caribel, Noushad, and Marilyn really care and are lovely.. They went above and beyond the whole stay. Special shout out to Matthias, who went above and beyond on my daughters birthday, suggesting what to do and helping us tweek our plans due to the weather on her actual birthday being thunderstorms. They also decorated the room and came in singing happy birthday with a cake for her. Really appreciated everything they all did making our trip special. We spent our time shopping, sightseeing, and had some great food. Fab pizza restaurant a few streets away and a bagel place around the corner. The location for us was perfect. Staff are lovely, approachable, and Welcoming. The location is central and perfect to get anywhere in a short time, or you can just mooch the local shops and restaurants.

We know the area well, so knew the location would be perfect. It’s a beautiful place, quirky and a really feel it celebrates Malta! Lovely staff and great breakfasts in brasserie. Nice and easy self checkin and out. Highly recommend!

Everything was great.

Great atmosphere, great location, all must do/see things in walking distance. A perfect place for a short stay to experience the great atmosphere of the old vibrant city center.

Our room had a separat bathroom which with a own key could be unlocked/locked, although hygiene levels were up to standard and matched our expectations we would prefer more privacy by having the bathroom being part of the room itself.

Location is exceptional, walking distance to all valetta top sights. Beautiful small family run hotel with bistro. Beautiful decor throughout hotel. We stayed in room 5, small double beautifully decorated. Nice change from large corporate hotels. Friendly staff, easy check in and check out.

Only complaint is check out is 10 am, not a problem for us as we had an early flight but strangely early check out time. Reception not 24 hrs if thsts something that is important to you. But very safe

Perfect location, right in the town and many interesting tourist things (for example the noon gun site) the hotel/guesthouse is a beautiful place, different in many ways and very interesting too... A living museum. Room 5 was small, but comfortable... Bed super and large. Staff just fantastic.. Arrived from airport before 12h00 and the room WAS READY and we could enter into it... That alone is incredible. Also when leaving our luggage was kept for us, no problem.

This is easily one of the most charming and beautifully renovated hotels we've ever stayed at! The location is simply unbeatable—right next to the beautiful Upper Barrakka Gardens, with direct access to the lift for the ferry, just steps from the bus terminal, and within walking distance to all of the city's top attractions, amenities, and best spots. Despite being so central, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The owners were fantastic, providing seamless communication and making sure we had all the information we needed well in advance. If you see a room available, don’t think twice—book it right away! You won’t regret it.
