Very cute, low key hotel. Lovely small but welcome pool and small bar with friendly staff. It was short walk to the town and in a quiet location. The room was attractive and spacious and really comfortable. The boat trip we booked through the hotel was great. And also 3.30am transfer to Cancun. All good.

The breakfast was a little too basic/disappointing. Also we chose the hotel because there was option to get some food on site, but kitchen was closed outside of breakfast. Maybe chef was on holiday? That said, empanada shop on street corner filled an empty hole & I would still recommend the hotel.

Bungalow was simply amazing. It was huge, impressive and we were just amazed. Two bedrooms, big living room, 2 bathrooms. Super spacious, clean and had just unique atmosphere.

Breakfast was super poor. There was either scrambled eggs and potatoes/ rice, waffles / pancakes, toasts and some fruit. Almost like in US. Everyday we also had jogurth and granola. That’s it. No veggies or differenciates. I would recommend to change it for the future. If I knew that, I would have never book with breakfast included, especially in the city there is plenty of amazing restaurants. But in general vibe and place is worth seeing.

The hotel is easily accessible, walking distance to everything. It has a nice vibe, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The pool is great for relaxing after a day exploring the lagoon. Despite the bad reviews, I found the breakfast decent with options for kids and adults.

Beds are comfortable, only comment was that one of the rooms we booked was of a slightly lower tariff and it didn’t include a bed comforter, just a thin sheet. We thought it was a mistake but it was clarified that is was because of the tariff. This was not clear in the booking description.

The hotel was very clean and quiet, and the courtyard was a beautiful tropical oasis. Staff was very helpful. The included breakfast had some variety each day and was good.Neighborhood was very quiet at night. Unlimited refillable bottled water available at the bar 24hr. We were very happy that the hotel lived up to the pictures and reviews! We would definitely stay here again. 6min walk to main square where there were lots of shops, banking and restaurants.

The bikes available to guests were not maintained, and it seemed like the brakes were purposely dissabled to discourage guests from using them (for safety reasons). There wasn't an option that I could find for a king-sized bed, and our room had two double beds (not queen)... however, we did sleep very well.

Exquisite and unrivaled views over lake Bacalar with multiple scenic points to absorb nature. The most chilled and relaxed 5* I have ever stayed at; no rubbing it in your face or pressures to spend, completely focussed on your stay, relaxation and comfort. Easy access to the lake for swims alongside free kayaking and paddle boarding. Crystal clear pools. Spacious and very comfortable room with great shower and frogs on the balcony! Very helpful, friendly and respectful staff.

Loved this hotel so much and will definitely be back, walkable to some great restaurants & bars , safe ,my favourite place was the pool though , great rooms very spacious & friendly staff from reception to the breakfast staff

Just one improvement would be the bikes they offer ,all male bikes that are quite old but get the job done if you're going a short distance

Gorgeous big room, very clean, wonderful en suite bathroom, balcony. Super peaceful.

Friend and I booked together and she was offered a room that was ground floor, very dark and damp and where the balcony overlooked staff quarters (first one on left). Really shouldn’t be offered as a room option (not for the same price as others). Front desk staff seemed put out by the request for another room but in the end waived the extra fee (only rooms left in the tier above). Manager was never on site and felt like the other staff members were very junior when dealing with issues like this.

This hotel is an oasis, only four blocks from the Plaza Principal in Bacalar. We liked everything: the Staff is accommodating, warm and friendly; room and common areas exceptionally clean; pool area is beautiful, so inviting; adequate, off the Street parking; fantastic breakfast offerings, at reasonable price.

Only suggestion, would be an upgrade to in-room air-conditioning, as the unit took a while to cool room.

Beautiful place, the pool area is lovely to chill after a long day at the lagoon. Room was perfect and beds comfortable. Special thanks to Luis, helped us book a lovely trip on the lagoon, always there to help us out if we needed anything! He gave us the best tip for dinner, we had a lovely time! Also thanks to Carlos! Recommend coming here if you want to stay in Bacalar.

10 min walk from the center, breakfast wasn’t great.

Fantastic hotel, clean, quiet, great facilities. Every member of staff we came across was genuinely so kind and accommodating. The extra-large bed was amazing, best nights of sleep in a long time. Great location, about 10 mins walk from the centre, 15 mins from the lagoon.

Not a deal-breaker at all but I don’t recommend the breakfast as there isn’t much to eat and it is quite expensive.
