The whole experience was wonderful. From the interaction with the front desk before I arrived to the minute I left. Liliana and Karla at the front desk were incredible and extremely helpful. They suggested transportation, restaurants and places to visit. Miguel was amazing. He made breakfast every morning and also took care of security. Our room was ready for an early check in which was a gift. We had a little issue with the AC and Karla moved us to another room right away. The location is simply great. A few steps from 5th Ave yet we could barely hear any noise. We were a few blocks from the beach and close to everything we wanted and needed. I highly recommend this hotel. It was charming, clean, the rooms were spacious, and the staff was simply wonderful!

excellent location, on quiet street with no through traffic but hotel is only 1 minute walk to 5th Avenue shops, restaurants, bars, entertainment, etc. Even though the location is very close to the 5th Avenue noise, we could not hear any of that within the hotel. 10 minute walk to closest sandy beach with lots of space, music, beach clubs/bars, eateries on the beach, and a 30 minute walk to another huge beach. The property photos online accurately depict the hotel today, it has an updated Spanish Hacienda look, with beautiful rooms overlooking a courtyard with pool, most rooms with balconies. A nice continental breakfast was served each morning (pastries , fruit, cereal, bread/toast, energy bars, coffee, cold boiled eggs, yogurt). All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and quick to assist. I would definitely consider staying here again. The courtyard with plants, palm trees, and lighting is wonderful, with padded loungers and chairs provided . The hotel had security at the front door in the evening . everything was very clean. Even sunscreen is provided if you left yours at home.

The flat screen TV in the room was not very large, the picture quality was poor on some channels, and even though there was a channel guide in the room which listed over 2 dozen channels, our TV had less than half of those on the list. I did not request this to be fixed because we were seldom in the room long enough to watch TV. Also, it was sometimes difficult to get fresh beach towels for the pool area or to take to the beach - either they were not laundered frequently or the had an insufficient quantity.

We loved the way it looked and we LOVED the staff! The kids enjoyed swimming in the pool almost every day.

We struggled with the smell of the sargassum sea weed that was on the shores. This was the only issue and it was out of the hotel’s control.

The hotel is charming and the location is excellent. Our two bedroom/two bath suite was very spacious. The breakfast was adequate but ended too early at 9:30 am.

The bed was not comfortable. The king-sized bed in one of the bedrooms was two short and the frame was extremely squeaky, even from a slightest movement. The cleanliness of the rooms/bathroom was questionable. Also, our rooms did not get cleaned one, even though daily maid service was supposed to be included.

The location is amazing right off 5th a block from the mall. The restuarants and things to do are unstoppable. The hotel is very quaint and quiet. It is very clean and the staff was super helpful and nice. The pool is shaded most of the day so not alot of sun. There is a rooftop with amazing fews but it gets hot up there. The beach places are nice but very pricey for what you get. The were 1,000 to 1,500 paseos per person. The beach on the side of the Wyndam was our favorite. Bring a beach blanket and or chairs and an umbrella and you will be set.

The bed and couch were hard. Otherwise we had a great experience.

The location is exceptional…right off 5th Avenue…near all the action. Staff was very, very good….especially Lili, Miquel and Marianna

The rooms are more like small apartments and the kitchens are not adequately supplied with basic tools. The furniture was not very comfortable in the living room … really no place to sit in comfort.

Helpful staff even before checking in and during entire stay. Spacious suite , excellent location (just off 5th avenue filled with shops & restaurants) but quiet… perfect for making playa del carmen as a base to explore other places.

ventilator in bathroom is noisy and cannot be turned off and bedroom door is a little hard to close (these are very minor issues)

Location excellent ... especially if facing the sea but if you had rooms on the Calle 16 side might be loud at night. Nice roof terrace Breakfast fine.... but no hot food Staff great Especially Liliana and Miguel

Staff was friendly and helpful, especially Miguel. Location is near 5th Ave and yet it was not noisy at night. We were able to sleep quite comfortably. Definitely recommend.

Would prefer daily room cleaning instead of every 3rd day.

We liked Carla - who welcomed us on the first night. SHe went out of her way to find wine glasses and a bottle opener for us for the night we were there. It seemed like the people here really care about their clients. Location is perfect .

Car parking is limited. Because of the great location some of our group couldn't sleep due to the street bands
