Excellent location apart from some very noisy evenings. Great for walking everywhere didn’t need a car. Good pool but not enough sun was around it

We were in room 206. Extremely noisy on four nights with music coming from somewhere. Way way too loud and kept us awake until 3:30am. We didn’t have shade over the front balcony so couldn’t use it. No BBQ on sunroof which we thought all penthouses had so again couldn’t cook up there which we had intended to do

The staff was amazing. The kids enjoyed the pool. The room was very spacious for our family of 4. I also liked that we were right in town and close to local shops and restaurants. Everyone in town was extremely friendly and we felt very safe.

There aren't any restaurants on the property, but there were several great restaurants right outside the front door. The closest beach wasn't the best, but Playa Mamita was only a few blocks away, and it was a beautiful, level, scenic walk. There were also tons of beach clubs there where you could get cabanas and food at a very inexpensive cost.

Property is amazing feels like you are walking in a beautiful jungle , gardens are so lush and green . Service is great nothing is a problem at any time . Beds so comfortable and the cleaning of condos is fantastic , you can have a full clean everyday if you so wish . We had a two bedroom penthouse with roof top kitchen bbq , jacuzzi and loungers .. The pool was fantastic and the girls loved it .. Great bakery next door snd highly recommend the breakfast in sister hotel on the beach . Right in the heart of playa de carmen 2 mins from 5th avenue . Beaches are walkable and are beautiful .

Due to the fact you are right near 5th avenue you have to expect noise at night time until at least 1am . Also if you have a rooftop jacuzzi switch it off at nighttime as the pump is quite loud when it’s quiet .

Though it wasn't on the beach, it made up for it in a gorgeous pool and amenities. Actually the beach area near the hotel, one block away, has virtually disappeared. There are other beaches within walking distance which were quite nice. Porto Playa has a gym connected to it, which you have access to. The hotel complex is one block off of Avenida 5, which is the main pedestrian street. Since we were off one end of this busy street, it wasn't noisy. We made a reservation for a 2 bedroom penthouse, then when we arrived, they upgraded us to a three bedroom. We didn't need the extra bedroom, but the entire space was huge. The third level has a private hot tub and lounging area. (There are a lot of stairs.) The couple with us kept saying all week, "I can't believe how nice this is." The staff were very friendly and there is security at the main gate, so you always felt safe. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The only complaint is that there was a dishwasher, but it was non-functional. I don't mind doing dishes by hand, so that wasn't a make or break deal.

The location was fantastic and the place really well maintained and clean. Love the convenience of having a kitchen and a huge space.

Our microwave needed to be fixed a couple times; the beach club is not really in a beach that you can swim but on an area where boats park.

Excellent location, right between the beach and Fifth Avenue. Large unit and dining area both outside and inside. The rooftop pool is great and downstairs too. The outdoor gym is very well equipped. Excellent cleaning staff. We cooked in the apartment and the kitchen is fully equipped and satisfactory. There is a water tank in the room. It is not a hotel but more of an apartment complex, which suited us very well.

The main curtain does not cover the glass doors all the way, so it always remains a little open, which made us feel a little uncomfortable. We didn't use the jacuzzi in the room because it felt quite old and uninviting. Because of the proximity to the entertainment area, it becomes noisy at night. The large sofa in the living room is not comfortable at all.

Great location right next to the fifth avenue, but side street so no noise. Specious rooms we requested one room with double bed and one with separate beds and it was as requested. full kitchen although we did not use it much, it was nice. feels private and safe.

The breakfast is not in the hotel. You get vouchers for two restaurants in the area.

Convenient location in Playa del Carmen, very clean with all facilities and amenities of an apart hotel including complete kitchen, furniture, washing and dryer machine, jacuzzi, etc. Feels like home. Nice pool area, kids loved it.

Close to a few night clubs or karaoke clubs that may make your nights miserable if you are a light sleeper. Apparently there is no noise ordinance laws in effect. In addition, all guests have to wear a plastic (and uncomfortable) wristband during the whole stay, which is rather inconvenient.

Everything was ok.

The door locks sucked. Difficult to use and not secure.

Room was super spacious and air con was great, loved having a couch and a TV with a variety of Channels for nights where we didn’t want to stay out late. Location was great, close to 5th avenue but also close to other areas nearby, bakery across the road was great and El Goberbador restaurant was excellent for dinner

The pool wasn’t overly clean or full; we mentioned it to the staff and they rectified it the next day; however as we were only staying two nights it wasn’t fixed in time so we didn’t get to use it, which was a shame as it was a main reason we booked the hotel, and it was very hot, sunny and humid so having access to a pool would have made our stay even better
