Fantastic location right in the middle of a very busy area in Playa. The rooftop pool was so much fun and the staff were terrific and so helpful. The food we ate both at pool for lunch and also breakfast was very tasty and fresh. We enjoyed the pool the most (it was super hot so it was a relief). The music and whole vibe was really fun also.

The music at the pool was a little loud across the day, would be nice to just have it down a touch and ramp up later in the afternoon. Would be difficult for people that were not into the kind of music that was being played. It's also quite loud at night (from the street), it didn't bother us, but if you were light sleepers it might be annoying, however the hotel does supply ear plugs :)

It was clean and really moody. It is close to a lot of restaurants, shopping and Coco Bongo.

They never actually came to pick up the mini bar even though we told them on day 2 of 4. The mini fridge was stocked so we could barely put our own drinks and could not remove them and set them to the side as we would be charged if they were seen by house keeping. It was a bit noisy till about 3 AM. The staff was not accommodating with the towels even though the pool is supposed to be open 24 hours. The light were shut off on our side where we were lounging/ swimming at about 12-1. The valet was super quick but it’s a bit odd to get your car in as you have to drive down what looks to be an ally/walkway.

First of all - the staff were all amazing - helpful, super friendly. Lazarus, Sara and the rest of the breakfast team. Maria and her colleagues at reception and Joaquin and the bar staff. The breakfast was really good too - although maybe having 2 options in the included breakfast would be good so you can alternate when you stay a week?

The pool experience was not good. The pool is great and the set up good. The real downside is the music level. It was already too loud first thing in the morning - but from 1, the staff turn it up and it gets so loud that I couldn't hear my friend who was sat next to me on the lounger. The speakers are all around and right above the loungers as well so there's no escaping (I tried pretty much every corner) It would be very easy to switch off some of the speakers to have a 'quiet' side for the guests who don't enjoy clubbing at midday.

Hotel wonderful , nice rooms and clean . The location is Excellent land the personal very friendly.

Do not recommend to have the option breakfast included. The service at the restaurant at the rooftop is terrible and the food disgusting.So we decided to have breakfast somewhere else. Overall nice hotel

It’s really central ! I just have to mention one particular staff member named Marisel ! She was amazing so helpful we really needed a hand with certain things and she just made everything so easy and relieved so much stress for us ! If I ever go back to playa del Carmen I’ll stay at the Thompson purely the fact that I know she will be there !

Location is the best. right at the center. Beaches in playa are not that exciting anyways so it doesnt matter it doesnt have a private beach. in addition, you can freely go to the beach club of their twin hotel at the beach. The pool is fun. Lots of activities, Yoga was aewsome. Room was spacious, comfortable, and very quiet despite the noise outside.

The pool music is no noisy that it hurts my ears! It is now some sort of a day club, so forget about relaxing at the pool. Breakfast is not good. includes only toast, yogurt and fruits (no buffet, no eggs - you have to pay extra). Booking was a bit misleading here because it says that breakfast is included but it is not fully true, just the continental is included.

Pool , food, cleanliness

The room that we booked was not available and they gave us a king bed for the 3 of us which is on the street side where you can hear loud music till 3 am.

The waiter in Umi restaurant called Alex was very helpful and generally the staff were all very kind and we really enjoyed the service.

Everything it looked exactly as portrayed in the pictures. Staff excellent service, from arrival to departure they were the always pleasant. Great location, food breakfast excellent best in playa.

I forgot some of my belongings 😟 when departed the hotel.

We did not have dining included. The location and establishment was awesome! right in the heart of shopping, food, and steps away from the nightlife.

The shuttle from the airport could be included in the price of the stay. No complaints at all though.
