I wasn’t bothered by anything - you get what you pay for. Read so many negative reviews with complaints about the pool and the view etc. The photos on booking.com are a little deceiving and the pool was not very tidy so if you’re picking your accomodation based on the quality of the pool, pay extra money for a resort. No bottled water in the room but there is a 7/11 right next door. The breakfast included was small but it’s also a free breakfast so you take what you can get. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby if you’re not satisfied. I found the place to be extremely cheap and it was fine. It was just a place to sleep as there are plenty of exciting things happening around the place. If you want resort style accomodation, book a resort not a motel.

The room was great, and the location is amazing if you want to stay in downtown at an affordable price. The room was very clean; the only downside is that it was quite small, though this wasn’t a big surprise since it was clearly stated in the description. It would be very helpful if the A/C could be turned on before arrival, as the room was very hot when we first got there. The small balcony is a nice touch, perfect for enjoying a coffee in the morning. Overall, we loved our stay.

The main issues were the lift and the pool area. The lift was out of service, and we were only informed upon arrival, though it wasn’t a big problem for us since we had little luggage. The pool area was disappointing because it’s such a beautiful spot with a great view, but it just needs more care — some furniture cleaning, regular pool maintenance, and ensuring no leftover cups or bottles. With a little more attention, it could be an amazing highlight of the property.

The boutique Hotel is nice and chill with good rooms and a great rooftop pool. The location is perfect.

Breakfast is really small. We had to park on the street as the hotel does not have any private parking.

The location is perfect, close to everything but not too close that you hear the bars and nightclubs. The staff are nice and helpful. The included breakfast is quite small but you can add an item from a menu for a very reasonable price and they are quite delicious. Cleaning service is only upon request which means no one goes into your room if you do not want yhem to.

The upkeep of the hotel amenities could be better, the poolside chairs and beds were missing the frames and there were only the cushions. The shower only has an overhead showerhead and there is no detachable showerhead.

Great location, excellent price, staff are super friendly, room was pretty basic but comfortable for us. Really easy to walk everywhere from the hotel, close to 5th ave, lots of restaurants and bars. Free breakfast is a nice touch as well with lots of good free options.

The pool area could really use a face lift, we had the pool to ourselves for most of our stay which was great, but it could use some sprucing up as the pictures online look nicer. The restaurant could use another server in the mornings as we waited several minutes and ended up leaving without being served which was disappointing.

The room is spacious and well decorated whilst the bed is comfortable and huge! I really liked the style of the entire hotel, and it is in a great position, very close to the main street (5th ave) where there are loads of restaurants and shops around. The main beach is less than 10 mins walks away, and there is a 7eleven next to the hotel. Even though the hotel is crossed the street from the famous Coco Bongo, during the night was quiet. The girl we checked in with was super friendly and nice, she gave us recommendations on local beaches to visit and where to rent a bike. The check-in was easy and fast, and I have already got my deposit back. The pool on the rooftop is nice and perfect if you are waiting for your room but you want to relax.

Unfortunately the breakfast is ridicolous. We have been said it was a intercontinental breakfast, the options were: small slices of bread with a choice of strawberry jam and butter; fresh pieces of fruits (mango, pineapple, grapes, and another I cannot remember), cereals. To drink: coffee, orange or green juices. There is also the opportunity to have eggs but at an extra price. The pool itself was nice, but the area around was a little bit neglected, the big round beds in the hotel's pictures were missing and there were only the cushions, and the nice area with chairs was little bit dirty. There is also a construction site next door, which operated from 9am to 5pm and it can be annoying if you want to relax in your room during this time.

Hotel was really modern, clean and bright. The staff were so helpful and welcoming. The roof top pool area is a really nice place to relax at and the hotel is only 5 mins from the beach and all of the restaurants etc. Breakfast was really good too and the extras you can order are well worth it. The man serving the breakfast was helpful at giving recommendations on places to visit around Playa which was much appreciated!

The receptionist was very helpful; when we had booked a tour with a tour company they cancelled on the day of the tour but didn't tell us She contacted them and got information for us. Again when our airport taxi didn't show up at the appointed time she phoned them for us and chased them. She was a great help.

Calixta is located very close lo the beaches & restaurants yet not on the doorstep. The balcony was great addition to our room. The swimming pool is also a great place to relax from the bustling crowds.

The property could do with a fridge and softer pillows! Might be an idea to consider an entry system at night.

The whole staff was very friendly, breakfast was delicious, on a nice atmosphere with music and comfort. The "chicos" that served breakfast were helpful and kind, it was a pleasure staying there. The room was clean, comfy, cozy and very pretty, good quality stuff. Thye location is just perfect! We loved it!
