The location is very good. Everything are very near, Quinta Avenida 5-6 minutes walk and the beach too, few minutes the mercado, Frida Kahlo museum, 3D museum etc. The hotel looks good and authentic jungle style. 3 minutes walk for our favorite familiar restaurant, the name is Muelle de Chema same street like the hotel.

2 bar or disco 2 sides of the hotel and very loud, maybe 2-3AM closed and only after that silence the neighbor. The first day looked one finger size cockroach on the wall of the room...I don't care too much, because this is an everyday thing this Caribbean climate I think, but my girlfriend scared a lot and she said all night:) and the free breakfast had only jogurt and fresh fruits, but they have a menu card and one time lots of waiting, because only one girl make everything, we go to other spot instead for breakfast.

I liked & enjoyed the tropical plants and fountains, along with the complimentary continental breakfast.

The morning day front desk manager was not very helpful or accommodating when I requested a later checkout even though it showed on the invoice given earlier that all you needed to do was to advise the front desk.. The hotel was never even close to capacity… His response was it is not possible…

Beautiful jungle setting, nice clean rooms, comfortable beds. All the staff is friendly and helpful but Omar goes above and beyond, great recommendations, professional and wonderful sense of humor. Just adds to the stay. Breakfast included is very basic. I've had better breakfast from hostels in Mexico. To the management, breakfast upgrades is something easily improved upon at low cost which can greatly enhance the experience and quality of your guests stay. Also, pls remove the requirement for wearing a plastic hotel name bracelet. We aren't in an all incl resort where people rarely leave the resort. We are going out daily to the streets, restaurants and clubs. This can be very dangerous, especially for single women. Something can be added to a drink, the person knows where we are staying and can do something before we reach back to the hotel.

The centralization of the property was great. Far enough from the riff raft of the rowdy beach crowd. Everything is walkable to any places. Love the jungle atmosphere built into the hotel. Really is peaceful to be around and do some reading for days you don’t want to hang at the beach. Omar, at front desk is guy to go for all your extracurricular activities.

Although, there’s a possibility of the drunk patrons of the hotel to come rolling in at 3 am and deciding loudly to extend their conversations, and at the foyer where their voices microphone for all to hear. Their breakfast is ok. They don’t offer eggs with your “free breakfast”. They do offer with an additional charge.

Great value for its price range. The staff was super kind and helpful, beautiful common areas with lots of green and a small swimming pool, great location just steps away from most the major attractions and with a nice basic breakfast included in the price. Room was spacious and clean and comes with a safe ( the mattress could be a bit better but for the price range I can't complain) . Very positively surprised by the helpfulness of the staff especially after reading some of the reviews here. On one occasion I needed to print some documents and they printed them for me instead of showing me where the next print shop was. Then I had to get out early every day so they offered me my coffee to go, and last but not least, when I asked them if they had any mosquito repellent after I got bit in the first night, they not only provided repellent, they brought an exterminator who fumigated everywhere the next day. Not sure if it was a coincidence but I appreciated the attention. It does get noisy at night as others have mentioned but to be fair it will be noisy anywhere in the center close to the nightlife scene and if you stay in the rooms to the back like I did and wear earplugs at night it almost eliminates the noise. Obviously it's not the best or the most modern accomodation in Playa del Carmen but definitely one of the best in its price range and I would gladly come back.

Location was mostly good, staff was helpful, consistent access to drinking water was appreciated. Wifi was adequate.

The bar across the street is REALLY loud and penetrates the rooms til at least 2am every night. If you're near the restaurant, you'll also hear tables being dragged across the floor as early as 6:00 in the morning as they set up for breakfast. The pool is always in the shade and quite small. Not all rooms will have amenities shown in photos of the property (like hammocks on the balconies).

1. Location: Close to many bars, restaurants, shops, super markets, only a few blocks away from 5th avenue. 2. Confort: Nice bedroom overall, confortable bed. 3. External structure: Nice trees/plants. We really feel in the middle of nature. 4. Friendly staff.

The floor of the bedroom was always wet when we arrived in the afternoon from our day trips. It was pretty dangerous/slippery. When we complained, the employee told it was a "normal problem" in the block where we were because of an issue with the condensation of water from air conditioners.

We really enjoyed this lovely boutique hotel with jungly patios and a really nice pool. The room was comfortable and we even had a balcony. Staff was friendly.

It is somewhat ridiculous that the hotel charges an extra 2,5 USD per pool towel - this should be included in the rate. The included breakfast is very basic and consists of a fruit bowl w. toast plus coffee or tea. Anything extra costs more (e.g. a veggie omelette f 6 USD!) Due to its central location and proximity to 2 live music places, it can vet loud at night, until around midnight.

it looks like a jungle is growing in the middle of the city.. very nice settings even if sometimes it looks you need to cross leaves. Room was very nice with comfy bed and a small kitchen which however we didn't use. Location is close to Main Street action. Parking well secure

poor shower hose and it took ages to become warm. Breakfast is bit basic. Strict check in time

The hotel has a real jungle in a territory! Breakfast was good but could benefit from more variety—the same menu every day, no eggs, and only a limited selection of fruits. Location and raccoons)

There are no elevators. It was noisy on a few nights due to nearby bars. The balcony being connected to a neighbor's room was an unpleasant surprise and an odd architectural solution in general.
