The cenote was beautiful with lots of fish for snorkelling. The room was clean and housekeeping came everyday with fresh towels, water and coffee. The private hot tub was great and we used it everyday. The hotel is new and modern. The staff were great.

Just echoing other comments with regards to the service charge at breakfast. The breakfast isn’t really included if you’re required to pay for service charge. We also had lunch at the restaurant and they add 15% service charge and then ask for extra tip on top. I find this a bit uncomfortable considering the prices are already high.

Loved, loved, loved this Hotel. Everything about this hotel is amazing. The staff are so lovely and go out if they’re way to help you. Reception staff and Butlers know your name get the personal touch. The breakfast was absolutely amazing. We read some reviews before we went about the food but it was so good amazing. I’m guessing the bad reviews were from people that live an unhealthy breakfast like fry ups, lots of pastries unhealthy foods. We loved the breakfast it was healthy which was what we wanted for example avocado on toast, omelettes, chia pudding, granola etc. The food presentation was amazing. I think I saw people moaning about the fact that you get the free breakfast but gave to pay the 15% charge, complaining that breakfast isn’t really free. Honestly you get so much food and choices at this hotel for breakfast did free paying a 15% charge is nothing not much at all. The food is out of this world and the staff are so good on point paying thus small fee is nothing compared to the beautiful big breakfast which is included in your stay. We had lunch at the hotel as well on the odd day. The lunch tasted amazing as the presentation all very reasonably priced not expensive at all. The cenote was a wow factor so beautiful. The rooms were amazing we got a free upgrade to a junior suite with hot tub. Will definitely come back to this Hotel. The security staff were also very friendly, helpful as all other staff in restaurant and everywhere at this Hotel. We loaned bicycles from the Butler free of charge which was really good too. There is a supermarket shop about 10 min duen the road for any essentials you need to buy, extra water, snacks, wine for room etc. For us it was also lovely that you can get beach access via a hotel a few mins from the hotel across the road. The beach is beautiful and you get a free lounger, had a great vibe as it was busy and drinks etc reasonably priced. Had an amazing stay at Hotel Shibari can’t wait to go back.

Hotel Shibari was an awesome place to stay. The staff was genuinely kind and super helpful the entire time. The rooms were stylish and comfortable, and the private cenote on the property was incredible—peaceful, clean, and really special to have on-site. We liked that the hotel is set back from the busy party scene. It felt secure, private, and quiet with a gated entrance, but it’s still in the perfect location—everything in the beachside/hotel zone is within walking distance. They also offer free bikes, which made getting around super easy, and you can rent a moped right from the hotel for about $20 a day if you want to head into downtown Tulum. Breakfast was fantastic—fresh, tasty, and a solid way to start the day. Highly recommend if you want a relaxed, well-located, and quality place to stay in Tulum.

If we’re being really picky, the only thing we’d suggest improving is the in-room coffee setup—offering fresh milk or cream instead of powdered creamer would be a nice touch. Also, it would be great if the private dip pools were cleaned during regular housekeeping. Ours started to get pretty dirty after a couple of days, the water level dropped noticeably, and it wasn’t circulating, so it developed a bit of a smell. We only used it a couple of times before it became less inviting.

We had a great stay at Shibari and enjoyed all the amenities and the wonderful cenote. We also tried the spa, which was a great experience. The hotel is not on the beach but it is a two-minute walk from some very nice beach clubs. Definitely also recommend spending time by the cenote. There is a live dj on some days and that was also a great addition (not too loud). All the staff were lovely but I want to mention Diego at the concierge desk in particular, who was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. The only minus is something that was mentioned by others and that I had rolled my eyes at when reading the reviews but was actually quite annoyed by when we were there, and that is the compulsory service charge at breakfast. It’s a small thing but somehow dampened our experience.

What a phenomenal hotel right in the centre of all the top beach clubs and restaurants Cenote was great to have especially in the seaweed season Staff: they do literally anything to make your stay memorable. We even had our sunnies cleaned in the pool area. Complimentary margarita on arrival, chocolates for our honeymoon and more and more. Room: huge rooms, jacuzzi was so nice in the evenings Food: we only had breakfast in the hotel which was amazing As travellers that stay in top hotels around the world (at 10x per night), I actually don't think the hotel falls behind. Top value for money, look no further

I do have to agree with some of the reviews here about the music in the Cenote after 1pm. It was loud on Sunday but Mon Tue were better, still, would have preferred a more chill playlist

The pool with the swim up bar is the best for introverted people, closes 1AM; hardly anyone uses it after 10:30pm so a lot more privacy if you’re staying with your significant partner and wanted privacy without having to stay in the hotel room. Honestly , no need to book a room with the private pool. Also liked how it’s an adult-ONLY hotel. - 10/10 Food was really good, only had breakfast since it was included in our stay. But I can say the flavour and the service was 10/10. Gorgeous Cenote - 10/10 Accessibility of ashtrays throughout the hotel. - 10/10 Room was a 10/10. Honestly , best place to take IG photos.

I would have to say, how much staying there cost and needs frequent cleaning in the jacuzzi and pool. We stayed for 5 days and got the room because we got a good deal on it if you were to stay for 4 days with average pricing would’ve been over $2k CAD. My partner and I did find bugs (dead) in the pool and jacuzzi but we scooped it ourselves cuz it wasn’t a big deal to us.

The habitations, constructed around a beautiful natural Cenote, in respect of the nature are comfortable, spacious, clean, and peaceful. Good restaurant with view on the Cenote, so pleasant for the breakfast or dinner. I’ve had the chance to have a room giving on the jungle where I could watch the Sunset everyday. The staff was great, really helpful, especially the butlers Diego and Gerardo I loved that it was possible to borrow a bike during the day to go along the beach road The little gym was also good to exercise when needed

I had an amazing stay at this stunning hotel in Tulum! The property is absolutely gorgeous, and every detail is thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the bed was super comfortable. They even surprised us with a bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate our honeymoon—such a lovely touch! The à la carte breakfast was delicious, and the cenote on the property is breathtaking. We also loved the live DJ and the talented singer who created the perfect atmosphere. Everything was sensational!

As for the downside, prices were quite high, but given the level of luxury and service, it was expected.

The staff were great, the facilities great (including the cenote) and the restaurant and food was fine. It was better than we expected and better than the pictures led us to believe. One thing that bothered us: they play music constantly by the pool (which is ok), but this is piped throughout the property and it was loud where our apt was, so we could never get away from it. On Saturday, the music played until 2am. If you want peace and quiet, then Tulum itself is not the place (as it seems all the places have the same idea).
