The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, we stayed in one of the cheaper garden rooms & I was a bit worried the room wouldn’t be that nice but it was perfect. Lovely outdoor bathroom, & plunge pool outside. V private & quiet. The hotel is located a bit further down from the big beach clubs so quiet at night. Beach is stunning, as is the pool. Staff will sort anything for you, all via whatsapp. A real 5* experience which was a relief as we had a few disappointments in Mexico.

I was sad to learn all the hotels on the beach are powered by very big noisy generators, burning fossil fuels day and night. The road running behind the beach constantly smells polluted & I dread to think what their carbon footprint is. Would be amazing if the hotel installed some renewable energy to combat this. There is so much sun & wind on this beach that it wud be a genuine energy source.

-Great staff, made some amazing recommendations for lunch and dinner and organised a great private driver to take us to the Tulum ruins and an amazing cenote. -Lovely big water jug in the room that was filled up regularly -Walking distance to some great restaurants -Fantastic clean beach, they clear the seaweed every morning and it was beautiful. -The sunrise from our room was incredible -Excellent WhatsApp service, they reply super fast -Lovely and quiet, no beach bar noise from anywhere which we loved -Really nice and friendly guests -I definitely recommend beach view rooms - the views are exceptional!

-The towels in the room were very old and grey looking. They definitely need replacing, and were sub standard and not what is expected for a hotel like La Valise and a member of SLH. -Room could have done with a coffee machine and was a bit basic.

We went here for our honeymoon. We had signature suit with jungle view with rolling bed. The room was absolutely amazing. Super nice, quite and we had breathtaking jungle view. Our staying was living in a dream. Staff was so helpful and friendly. They helped us with restaurant recommendations and even for booking and arranging. Also now I am big fun of small luxary hotel groups, it has quality vibes. There were very few guests staying and we really enjoyed serenity and calmness of the place.

meal portions were little bit small. For example avocado toast comes with just one piece of small bread.

This small boutique hotel was a calm and welcoming oasis along the beach in South Tulum; every single member of staff was so friendly and helpful and really made an effort to be on a first-name basis with us, which was very charming; the food was great, our room was beautiful and spacious and the whole vibe of the property was just super relaxing - the team at the spa also deserves a special callout! We booked three massages during the week we were there and they were outsanding.

Very clean and very private. Service is wonderful.

The breakfast is very limited and when the hotel offers it as included in the tariff, there are big limitations and any thing that you want to add or change, the hotel will charge it to your room. This is not only a bad and disgusting practice but also is from a cheap hotel. When you pay around 1.000 dollars per night, you hope that if you change the flavor of the juice or you add an egg to your plate, it doesn’t involves an additional cost for you as guest.

As part of our honeymoon, we enjoyed 11 days at La Valise and it was truly an amazing time. The place is a beautiful and peaceful little pearl in the jungle close to restaurants and Tulum life, the view over the Caribbean Sea is stunning, the food is always delicious and the place and furnishing are giving a perfect Caribbean vibe. Huge thanks to Oscar, Eddie, Agustin, Anna and the whole team, you made the experience wonderful - we couldn’t ask for more. The greatest recommendation from Denmark.

First of all, the aesthetic of the hotel is absolutely perfect - perhaps the most stylish we’ve ever stayed at. Breakfast was great, as was the swimming pool in the jungle side of the hotel. The staff were also incredible and couldn’t do any more to make us feel looked after during our stay. We had quite a big 8 legged friend come to pay us a visit on our last morning (it is the jungle after all) and the manager came to our rescue and removed it by hand and managed to keep it alive! The beach bags are also to die for. Lovely hotel!

I think it’s perhaps slightly overpriced, however the location demands a slight premium - it’s right in the heart of the hotel zone. However, this also means that you are right in the middle of throngs of tourists which, whilst great for some, we prefer a slightly more authentic experience - but that’s more of a knock on the area, rather than the hotel.

La Valise is an absolutely unique and special place. Team is professional and hits the perfect balance of being helpful and caring without being overwhelming. Exterior and interior designs are a masterpiece with a lot of tiny little details that you want to keep looking at and enjoy. Toiliteries are great and rooms have a very pleasant scent. Beach is clean, with comfortable beds. Overall stay at La Valise is relax and recharge for body and soul.

Thank you to the amazing La Valise hotel, we had such a wonderful time. The entire hotel was so relaxing and beautiful, located at a great spot along the beach - close to lots of amazing restaurants but also quiet and relaxed. It’s simply stunning! The everything from the atmosphere, decor and food was really outstanding. We enjoyed the breakfast everyday with a beach view. What really sets this hotel apart is the 5-star service and care from all staff, where you receive a unique experience at a truly boutique hotel. Any request you have is followed up via What’s App, making it so easy to arrange anything you need. We even extended our stay to downtown Tulum and La Valise kept our airport transfer and checked on the day to make sure our pick up was smooth. First class service! Thank you again La Valise and everyone who liked after us so well, for an incredible time which includes seeing a turtle on beach under the full moon! Thank you thank you! We hope to come back soon, we loved it!

Everything was perfect during our stay. The room was amazing, the hotel is beautiful, minimalist elegant architecture with nature being the spotlight. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Special thank you to Ana at the reception, Oscar at the bar/restaurant and Miguel who was always greeted us with a smile on his face. Food at the hotel is also very good with several vegetarian options. We would definitely stay here again.
