The atmosphere is wonderful! It is a restored old building from colonial times in the middle of downtown. Relaxing there and forgetting about daily life, was a breeze! Staff (Rene, Gabriel and the cleaning ladies) went above and beyond to make it so. They helped in every aspect they could and were eager to make our experience unforgettable. From the whole experience, their people were what makes this stay the best in a long list of places we have ever stayed.

I don’t have anything negative to say, nor to complain about.

The property was neat and clean. It was a quick one night stay, so there was not a lot of issues to address. I didn’t notice that everyone seemed to do what they were supposed to do but, no one went out of their way to do anything extra. I gave it high ratings, but, I have stayed in other properties that were more proactive than this one. It was a very good value for the money in my opinion and I would stay there again.

I already explained that above. It was not a negative. It just was not a positive either.

The room is really big. The staff is great: friendly and always willing to help. The room was always clean, and the beds are really comfortable. Good AC + fan. Flat TV with international channels. The hotel is located just 10 minuts from the city center and 5 minuts walking distance to Montejos avenue. Great restaurants and services in the area. The breakfast was really complete: coffee&Tea, bread with jelly and a dish you can choose between eggs (omelette, fried eggs, etc) and Waffles or creps). Overall, great value for money.

The pool was not as clean as expected (cloudy water).

Great location, walking distance from the main areas. The hotel lobby is beautiful and the pool area feels cozy. Good breakfast.

The rooms did not have proper sound proofing, and there is not option to buy food nor drinks from the hotel.

We could not have rented a better place!! We love everything about Hotel Marionetas. It was our home in Merida. We will definitely stay there next time we visit Merida.❤️

It was a great place to stay in. The architecture is beautiful and it represented the classic colonial houses. It is located in the very centre of town, lots of restaurants and tourist attraction nearby. Paseo Montejo is literally 5 minutes from it, and it made our life easier. Lovely staff and comfortable rooms. They spoiled us in everything we ask for. I have to thank the housekeepers, they were so lovely and helpful, our room was always tidy and clean. Definitively, will come back!

The only bad thing I found was that the shower drain smelled a bit, but I believe this is because the humidity of the city and the fact that the hotel is located in one of the earliest built areas of Merida. However, we managed to deal with that problem, and it did not affected our stay at all.

•It is a truly beautiful venue, glorious colour schemes and charming architecture. •Staff are nice and helpful! •Centrally located, walking distance to everything! •A big plus is that it is not too noisy, not to say its an oasis of quiet, but its pretty good. Most central parts of this town are beset by awful noises, this hotel has far less noise than any other hotel we stayed in, and we tried a few. Ofcourse, there is always some noise, and its a courtyard hotel where sound transmits, so you are at the mercy of any guest with poor etiquette- just saying this to manage expectations. We love it and will return! thanks team

Great location very close to the centre. The hotel is decorated beautifully, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious! The pool was great for cooling down after exploring Merida.

Although it’s advertised as having parking the hotel does not but they do have an arrangement with a car park opposite and you can park there for 100 pesos a night or park on the road outside of the hotel.

Very nice location, easy walk to town and museums, cute little and relaxing backyard , apartment ( 3 people) was comfortable and big .

Unfortunately, the pool was not very well maintained, not inviting for a swim .

All went well, the breakfast was great.

There was a strong smell in the room.....like a sewer smell coming from the bathroom window, but noticeable throughout the room.
