The pool was very close to our room & was very nicely maintained with plants & quality of water. perfect size for a small hotel. The room was clean & beds were great. Fridge in room. Everything including Ac & fan worked. Close by walking our taxi to everything downtown. Church & Plaza is just around the corner. Many restaurants nearby. Breakfast was served until 1 pm which was perfect for us as getting up late is part of a vacation. The heat in the middle of the day meant we generally went out after 6 pm. Free coffee all day long & chocolate Hersey drops were a nice touch. Chocolate bars & drinks available 24 hours a day meant we didn't have to go looking for a snack at 2 am. If we ever return to Merida this is my hotel of choice.

Not much really, the understated colonial ambience in the sitting area & unhurried atmosphere turned back the calendar to an earlier time when life was not so rushed.

This is a 21 room/3 floor hotel 100ft away from Parque Santa Ana in Merida. 2 blocks to Paseo de Montejo. 4 blocks to Parque Santa Lucia and 6 blocks to Centro square. It is hacienda style with the rooms facing inward to a beautiful pool/garden area. There is 24/7 desk support. The desk is located at the only entry to the hotel. It is extremely safe in an extremely safe neighborhood surrounded by shops, galleries and restaurants. There is also a small breakfast/lunch restaurant within the courtyard. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful. There are 5 parking spots in a private/enclosed area directly across the street. If those are occupied(never happened while we were there) parking is available on the street. I will definitely stay again! Oh, Also the A/C works great. However, while I was there it was only 90 outside and I didn't need it due to the rooms never being in direct sunlight.

I stayed in 2 different rooms. Only 1 hade a refrigerator.

A very charming little hotel that used to be the home of a local historical figure. It was in the heart of the old part of town and walking distance to great restaurants and cultural sites. They had parking, which was limited, but we were always able to find a spot when we returned from excursions outside the city. We would definitely stay here again. The option for a homemade style breakfast was nice and we had breakfast there a few times. There are a few cafes just a block away that have delicious espresso and breakfast.

The interior of the rooms is a bit dated, but for the price, location, and

We spent 3 weeks at Santa Ana and couldn't have asked for a better value for money experience. On request we were moved from a ground level room to the first floor to avoid being on the through way and found the room cool (during the hottest season), very clean and spacious. This is one of the most authentically Mexican hotels we have stayed at in Merida and we will return again for sure. The breakfast, lounge area and reception are very pretty and the staff attentive and helpful. The pool kept regularly cleaned and was a welcome relief from the excessive heat. Perfectly located for both Centro and Paseo de Monteo - explore the back streets to find lovely hidden away restaurants and bars. Thank you Hotel Santa Ana for a really enjoyable long stay visit.

I loved my stay here and changed my plans to go back instead of staying somewhere else! The staff are all so kind, helpful and friendly. The location is perfect, about 15 minutes walk from the main plaza, near to great restaurants, cafes, Paseo de Montejo (and very conveniently located for pick ups if you take a tour with Colibri, who I recommend!). The bike hire for 50 pesos is brilliant, especially if you are here for the Biciruta. They provide information about all the free cultural events on offer around the city. The room is clean and comfortable , with a mini fridge. I was provided with hot water to make coffee every morning. The pool is lovely. I'm already looking forward to returning in 2 nights time :)

My only small complaint is that there is no water refill available. There is a convenience store about 5 minutes walk away next to the Pemex that sells big bottles though.

The location was perfect, especially during the "Festa", making the city "centro" totally walkable. (Having the parking lot also made this lifestyle possible.) The staff seemed like a family with warmth and high standards, willing to help me with Spanish words or a restaurant suggestion. The main public room was always open for a variety of uses beyond breakfast, encouraging friendliness. The electric outlets, including lights and controls were well thought out. Daily cleaning of rooms was a luxury and never seemed an inconvenience for me. I watched the pool being cleaned, and it was also pretty to watch the bright blue rectangle from my window.

Picky me! I would like my shower tiles to be replaced.

We liked that someone was available 24/7 at the front desk or by phone. Wonderful location, close to historical center. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. We loved that they offered bike rental to ride around the beautiful safe center. Great restaurants & sites to see nearby. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated & had an inner courtyard full of tropical plants & a lovely pool for cooling off. They have a restaurant onsite that served a variety of options including a wonderful breakfast & coffee for an additional reasonable cost. *We had to find a new hotel late at night after a long journey from Canada when no one was there to receive us or answer calls from our taxi driver at our first hotel (we had no wifi or local sim card yet). The neighbor let us use wifi to look for a new hotel, & we needed to pay for another cab ride. After our initial experience, we were nervous to book again through Booking.com & cancelled this online booking & booked in person after arriving & confirming location of Santa Ana Hotel, then we even added 2 more nights. This hotel made up for all our inconvenience. We were glad to have discovered them & would love to return to & recommend Hotel Santa Ana to others. Hopefully we can get a refund from Booking.com for our first hotel booking that never received us, or at least 50% since Dos Lirios Hotel says they sent us check-in instructions when we were already on route, but we unaware of that + were unable to check messages. We booked most of our hotels through booking.com & were mostly satisfied with their platform.

The free parking directly across the street from the hotel. The lovely decor and relaxed atmosphere of the hotel as well as the size, cleanliness and comfort of the room - and the excellent room servicing too. Would recommend the breakfast here - had a delicious and relaxing breakfast by the pool which is nice to sit and read by. Also liked the location in quite an arty area with nice cafes and restaurants easily accessible. It's only a short walk to the Paseo Montejo and just a bit further to the Plaza Grande. The staff are very nice, welcoming and friendly - and were extremely helpful and kind when we had a little accident when opening the hotel door to leave resulting in cuts on two fingers that were slow to stop bleeding. Really enjoyed our stay and would 100% stay here again.

Nothing to dislike

This hotel is very cute. Simple, so don't expect anything fancy. Nice decor in the communal areas. It's on three levels, with all rooms looking at the central courtyard. My room was on the top level, so it was bright with a nice view. Nice shower, big room. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Location is very good. Close to bars and restaurants (la negrita, el lucero, etc) and 10 minutes easy walk to the main square. The area is safe, so don't worry too much about it. They have an enclosed car park with 3-4 spaces, otherwise you can park on the street for free.

Aircon was quite loud, so couldn't use it during the night. My room didn't have a mosquito net on the front window, so I couldn't even leave the window open.

The staff were very helpful and kind, suggesting places to eat, how to get to locations - buses etc. The location is quiet, easy walk directly to the main plazas, 10 min walk to one of the ADO locations for airport buses, 2 blocks to the bus stop for Progresso. Clean, the beds and pillows comfortable. Showers strong and hot. Nice small sitting area by the pool. Restaurant on site that offers breakfast choices, delicious and large portions. Coffee is available all day. Close to many restaurants and cafes. Mini fridge in room. Definitely would recommend for any length of stay.
