This is a beautiful property near the center of Merida, about a 10 minute walk to the main square. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe walking to and from the hotel at night. The pool is refreshing after a hot day exploring and the staff are wonderful. Breakfast each morning was delicious.

While the cleaning service was timely and my bed was made each time I went out, my towels and water glasses were never replaced in the four days I stayed at the hotel.

All of the staff are so warm, friendly and helpful. I enjoyed having lengthy chats with them all every day, they made me feel so comfortable and welcome ☺️. Breakfast was fantastic and different every day. Strong coffee pods, tea and filtered water available whenever you want it, along with snack bowl which had various treats. A shared fridge by the pool is available if required. The property was spotlessly clean and housekeeping is available if you want it. Also, security is excellent.

Nothing. It is about a 10+ minute walk to the centre, but it does state this, so not an issue.

I can honestly say I LOVED pretty much everything about this place! From the spirit and atmosphere of the house, the decoration details, the comfort of the rooms and beautiful bathroom, the pleasant patio where it's so easy to relax, to breakfast and attitude of the hosts and staff! It was pure joy entering the house every time I would go back from a walk in the city. I would say it looks and feels better in person than in the pictures. I would book this place without hesitation if I am to go back to Merida again in the future! The location is also pretty good although not right in the middle of the most central historical parts. You walk about 7-8 min to the top center, which is no big deal at all. Also, the way I see it, it is situated on the better side of the center, easily walkable to different parts of it, and certainly quite close to some very good restaurants.

I honestly can't think of one thing I didn't like.

Such a Classy place, so nice. Wonderful people working there everyone so helpful & friendly. They treat you like family, glad to see your visiting. Breakfast was so delicious with plenty and several choices. You felt like royalty with the formal dining room, settings & china. Always quiet and peaceful. Room clean and comfortable, access to freezer and refrigerator if needed. Free snacks along with homemade cake to enjoy along with coffee and teas and filtered water in dining area.

Would have been nice to have more screens in windows, wonderful breeze and cool nights, A/C works great if you need it.

Absolutely fantastic staff! Everything was sparkling clean. And oh the beds….. my first soft memory foam bed in all of Mexico. I finally woke up feeling refreshed and without back and neck pain! The breakfast was always delicious. The staff was super helpful. There was a decent amount of safe street parking. A couple of great restaurants within a block or two. And about a 10-15 min walk to the central district. And a cheap Uber ride to the monumento a la patrio and that who beautiful street. 100% would stay here again - I actually extended my stay a day because I didn’t want to leave.

Nothing really - as some people have said it’s about a 15 mins walk to the central district - and it’s not the prettiest- but I never felt unsafe and it’s a quick walk. And there so much to see!

We loved the tasteful decor, a fusion of beautiful antiques, mexican elements and art. We loved the excelent varied breakfarst, which was served on a long table, where we got to know and talk to other guests. In our room, we loved the shower, which had a big glass wall into a litlle closed leafy space. All this, and the friendly staff (gold star for the manager Alberto), the accesibility for questions, suggestions, recommendation and advice made our stay at the beautiful Merida very cosy and intimate.

The weather in Merida during our stay... It was hot, rain storms, and floods. But enjoyed all the same.

Our room was very comfortable and spacious. It was nice having a dresser as well as an armoire. Bathroom amenities included body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The shower had good water pressure and temperature. Staff was attentive and friendly. Breakfast included fresh fruit, yogurt & granola, coffee, juice, and various egg dishes that were prepared fresh to order. The pool was a welcome respite from the heat. Location was walking distance to restaurants and places of interest. We would definitely stay here on our next visit to Merida!

We really enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast was good plus a touch of elegance with beautiful china. Bronze sculpture greets you when you enter with keyless enter door. The pool was easy to enter however there is no hand rail and the surface near the pool was burning hot. Staff were quite helpful too!

Over all you have a GREAT place... But you might vary the cake in the morning. Have cotton sheets for the beds. Change the flooring to where you enter the pool even if it is a few spaces so your feet don't burn. But a great thing would be to add a small hand rail when entering the pool. Older guests look for this type of feature.

Lovely property, a hacienda. Being a boutique hotel, there are only few rooms so feels like home. Loved the high ceiling rooms, the decor in all the rooms, the paddle pool, the breakfasts, the crockery, the location and the service. Lots of great restaurants around with the central tourist attractions within walking distance.

The breakfast starts only at around 8.30 am. As a tourist, especially in the summer, one would like to start early for the archaeological sites. Would like them to consider providing dry packed breakfast for such guests, if requested.

We loved the central location. It was walking distance to the main square and many other sights. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Our room was right next to the pool and we had everything we needed to be comfortable. The breakfasts were very good and we enjoyed the opportunity to visit with other guests. It is a small hotel which is nice. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone planning to visit beautiful Merida.
