This is my sixth stay at this hotel over the past 18 months, which speaks volumes about how much I enjoy this place. The room is filled with plenty of sunlight throughout the day, and I appreciate the 24-hour hot water supply. I also use the rooftop in the mornings for exercise, though I hope the hotel can add some chairs up there for added comfort. Akash, the breakfast chef, has significantly improved his cooking since my first visit and now offers a delightful variety of breakfast options. Thank you for everything and for making my stay so enjoyable!

I recently stayed at Hotel Chhimeki for 7 days and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is exceptionally clean, which made my stay very comfortable. The staff are incredibly friendly and always willing to help with a smile. They made me feel welcome and ensured I had everything I needed. The location of the hotel is fantastic, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. Despite being budget-friendly, the quality of service and the overall atmosphere of the hotel exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Hotel Chhimeki to anyone looking for a pleasant and affordable place to stay.

The hotel is off a little street in Kathmandu’s busy quarter but it was quieter than other places I stayed. As always, it is challenging to walk down the narrow busy streets without getting run over by motorbikes. The hotel staff organised a taxi for me to the airport which I appreciated. It was fairly easy to find and had parking for the transport. The breakfast was good.

I would suggest that the staff be aware that the foyer is noisy and echoes up the stairs, so if people could keep the noise down, that would be appreciated by a weary traveller.

When arriving at Hotel Chhimeki, I wasn’t sure what to expect, I was tired from my flight and needed somewhere comfortable to sleep. Hotel Chhimeki delivered on this and more. It is set a little far away from Thamel centre making it quieter and really nice to have the window open in the morning. However, it is still easy to walk outside and go to the busy hub of Thamel with its attractions within a few minutes. The facilities were great, with a comfortable bed, pillows and duvet in the room with air con. There was a desk in my room which was great as I needed to get a bit of work done. They provided me with two bottles of water with seals to ensure they’re safe. The staff are second to none, when I first arrived I was offered a Milk Tea which was delicious and free. I met one of the owners of the hotel, Devaraj, who was friendly, helpful and a nice person to sit with. He even offered to move the furniture around in the room if I wanted, therefore I can tell they are willing to go out of their way to make your stay great. Wi-Fi is also available for free.

The Wi-Fi signal sometimes gets disrupted but mostly OK.

The location is the best part. Close to all the restaurants and shops at a walking distance. It was clean and had a garden with outdoor seating like a restaurant. The complimentary breakfast was amazing, made by the very friendly staff who were also helped by the owner! The atmosphere is very homely and so are the staff. The owner Mr. Debraj is an interesting personality. He helped us with all the information we needed and also arranged a car for our entire stay. We had some problem with the drivers but it was dealt with by him and we didn’t have to do anything about it. In totality it was a comfortable stay at this clean and airy hotel.

The only problem was that we had to ask for buckets, mugs, kettle, etc and run up and down many times to get the stuff. But this a problem in all of Nepal I think as we had to do the same thing in Pokhara too. One important point to note is that there’s no lift at this property so old people might have some problem.

Spacious clean room with balcony and large opening windows which meant we could get some fresh air easily. Hotel is set back off the street and we appreciated the quiet as a result. Only a short walk up the road to the hub of Thamel. Good breakfast which was a bonus ice little green courtyard next to cafe/seating area . Affordable price for comfortable room plus some profits from the help hotel support women living in poorer areas of the city. We would definitely stay again.

I recently stayed at Hotel Chhimeki and had a great experience. The hotel offers excellent value for money with clean and comfortable rooms. The staff was very friendly and attentive, making my stay even more pleasant. The location is quiet, providing a peaceful environment. The breakfast was also clean and tasty, which was a nice start to the day. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and affordable stay.

Very helpful, accommodating personnel. Took care with my vegan breakfast. Good location. They can organise treks. I bailed out of that option because of a knee injury. They help disadvantaged people not only from a share of their profits but also employing people from there too.

The staff are very accommodating and encourage to make the space your own. Large comfortable rooms. I love that part of the proceeds go to support under privileged women in the area

A tad bit out of the main tourist area but that is why the price is so reasonable. Breakfast could improve

Lovely staff. Very clean and quiet. Just outside Thamel closer to Durbar Square and set back from the street so very quiet. But close -one block - to where restaurants travel agencies and shops are. Generous breakfast. Bed very comfortable. 30% of the hotels income goes to helping women and children in the slums. Very good cause.
