Great central location, pleasant staff. Amazing shower! Surpringly quiet given the location.

I didn't know I'd have to leave a €50 deposit for the key and TV remote in cash.

Old Bridge Hotel is a true gem in Amsterdam’s historic heart. Its location is unbeatable: right across from Central Station and perfectly connected to public transport. The reception staff was kind and attentive at all times, and the hotel felt safe and welcoming. While the room was small (typical for historic buildings), the bed was extremely comfortable, the cleanliness spotless, and it included spacious closets and a minibar. They even stored my luggage before check-in—a detail I truly appreciated! Heads-up: As it’s an old building, there’s no elevator, but the charm and overall experience more than make up for it. I’d 100% recommend it to anyone seeking authenticity and a memorable stay!

The hotel was much nicer than we expected. The location is very good, we were 10 minutes walking distance from the central station. We were within walking distance to all tourist attractions. We were lucky enough to stay in a room with a view, it was nice to wake up with a view of the canal. The rooms were very clean, they were cleaned every day. Toilets were renovated, there was hot water. If I go again, I will stay in the same hotel. It was a perfect value for money hotel.

There is no reservation desk. You can complete your transactions from the cafe below. it didn't matter to us. There are narrow and high stairs as throughout Amsterdam

The location of the property is absolutely perfect. Quite comfortable and great transport links. I arrived a little bit earlier than check in and they let me check in early as my room was ready which was really helpful and handy. All the staff I encountered except for one were all so nice. Especially the cleaning lady. Very nice, polite and smiley.

I didn’t like that I did not have a double bed. I had two single beds and I had to push them together. It wasn’t very comfortable so I actually didn’t stay in my room 3 out of the 4 nights I booked. Also the bathroom does not have a extractor fan so after showering the room was very stuffy and I was unable to use the mirror due to condensation and the only mirror being located in the bathroom The room was expensive for the space I received. I also didn’t like that in order for me to access the hotel parts I had to be buzzed in. Although I was told that staff would be there 24 hours Ive never encountered such before. The one staff member soured my good experience with all the others. They were just a bit rude.

The locations is perfect! Just some meters aways from the Central station and you can walk to the center of Amsterdam. Everything is super close. We never needed to take any public transport. The only downside for us is that I didn’t consider the hotel is not very suited for people with mobility problems and we also traveled with a baby!, my bad. However the people who worked there were very nice, friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay

The room was perfect, we had a awesome view of the street below and the area outfront. The hotel is in an amazing location, the staff is amazing. They were incredibly friendly and helpful with storing out luggage and checkout/check in. They totally made the trip and I would absolutely stay here again.

Nothing it was actually perfect.

The location was perfect. Central, walking distance to everything. The owner was the kindest, warm hearted and hard working person I have ever met. We arrived early and he made us feel welcome into the bakery / cafe downstairs while we waited and he let us check in early. He held our bags securely after check out while we explored some more. The beds were SO comfortable. Everything was perfect for us.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Good location - near all the touristy stuff but away enough to not have the noise Room is basic but adequate. Small room but well laid out so it's functional. Plugs and light switches right by the bed. A bump out on the wall, that served as a night stand. A place to put my bag that I can get my stuff out of easily (technically a desk). A small fridge. They came daily to replenish supplies, although I did not need anything The bed was quite comfortable. The water pressure is amazing. They had a hair dryer and i could adjust the radiator, so when I went out on a rainy day and got drenched, I could get everything dried out in the room.

The stairs are steep and narrow to get to the room, like all stairs in Amsterdam, I think. I could hear when other people were coming and going, specifically the doors/locks. Check in was a little awkward, you check in at the restaurant and they give you the keys there. They happened to be busy when I was checking in, and the entrance to the restaurant is tight so it felt super awkward standing at the entrance to the restaurant with my bags while people are trying to get their food.

The staff at reception were exceptionally friendly and helpful The view from the windows was amazing The heating in the room was well maintained and warm

There could have been a kettle and tea/coffee/milk in the room for added comfort given the cost of the room The stairs are quite steep so you need to be quite able to reach your room The cost of the room was a little high as the room was clean but basic
