The location was good for us - a quiet neighborhood very close to the art museums and Vondel Park and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops and transport. The staff was helpful, friendly and accommodating. We did not use the breakfast option. We appreciated the elevator. Everything was clean and well maintained. We were comfortable there and could relax after a full day without noise or distractions.

The room seemed designed for very tall people, The closet bar was almost out of reach and fell on us when we tried to hang clothes up. The shaving/makeup mirror was also above our heads and the toilet and sink were unusually high. There was a topper on the bed, which was comfortable, but too large, so that it hung over the side and dipped down if you got too close to the edge.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Roemer! The hotel was exceptionally clean, and its location couldn’t be better—just a 5-minute walk from Leidseplein, making it easy to explore Amsterdam. We stayed in the quadruple room, which was absolutely perfect for our needs—spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. A big plus was the Nespresso machine in the room, which made for a great coffee experience in the morning. Another huge convenience was the elevator, which made it so much easier to get around with our stroller. The staff was also incredibly helpful and honest. I accidentally left behind a piece of clothing, and they found it for me, which I truly appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Roemer for anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located stay in Amsterdam. We will definitely be back!

Great location. Nice staff, especially in the restaurant. Comfy beds. Excellent breakfast. In many places the eggs come from some pre-prepared something, but this was made from scratch. My son cannot have gluten and lactose and they had baked especially for him. That is excellent service. We were also a bit slow to check out. No fuss at all. Much appreciated.

We booked a twin room, but didn't get it. We booked that hotel specifically for that, so that was a bit annoying, but we did get a kingsized bed with separate sheets.

Hotel Roemer was a great location for us - we were able to walk everywhere and had great attractions nearby. The staff were very friendly and accommodating (pre-booked us a taxi for early morning and laid out balloons to celebrate our honeymoon). The bathroom was also a great size.

We really liked everything, although the room was quite dark. Some additional lighting might be something to consider in the downstair rooms.

I ordered the birthday package for my partner, and it was splendid. The hotel communicated promptly and clearly about this arrangement. We were both delighted with the balloons, macarons, and wine that awaited us upon arrival. Our room was spacious, with an enormous, comfortable bed. I was particularly pleased with the fact that the hotel supplies body lotion as part of its toiletries.

We weren't sure how to operate the hot tub in our bathroom--either it didn't work, or it's not as intuitive as expected. Some instructions would have been helpful.

Room is a good size with king sized bed (not common in NL). We got balcony in the room which is nice surprise. Location is perfect especially with little ones cause it is next to Vondelpark where there are few playgrounds. Also, access to eateries and supermarkets as it is walking distance to Leidseplein. Access from airport also convenient with the bus 397.

Water bottles could have been provided. Balcony could have been better maintained. The room description could have mentioned that it is located in the other building with steep stairs at the entrance. I was travelling with a toddler and a stroller. Not always easy to go in and out.

Very good location with good amenities. The building itself is really lovely, and we had a really luxurious bathtub within the room, which was a nice surprise. Our room didn't have a fridge, but the staff were willing to store our food in the hotel's fridge. The hotel is located near a large park and lots of good restaurants.

We were in a basement-level room and the wifi signal was so weak we couldn't use it. We told the staff, but there wasn't good communication between the overnight staff and daytime staff, so the issue was never resolved. The mattresses weren't particularly comfortable.

The hotel is an accessible part of Amsterdam. It's close to the road but tucked into a nice neighborhood, where you couldn't hear the hustle & bustle of the street. You could walk to most tourist attractions, and public transportation is easily accessible. Hotel staff were pleasant, and my room was spacious. Wifi connection was great.

My room was not properly cleaned prior checking in. The carpet looked dirty and there were stains in the bathroom and dust in wardrobe. Even the coffee maker and tea cups were dirty.

The room was large and clean with a great view. Bathroom was exceptional, jacuzzi bath, separate shower. The staff were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Coffee machine, kettle, hairdryer, toiletries, robes, slippers. Comfortable beds, quality bedding, nice pillows. Great location, quiet street and tucked away but still close to everything you'd want. Free upgrade for my friend's birthday (late checkout) and a lovely thoughtful hand written note left at our door. Amazing value for money, will definitely 100% be back.

Really scraping the barrel to find anything! Bathroom sink was slightly small, awkward to fill the kettle.

The hotel was located in a very nice area of Amsterdam, not too far away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, but just far away enough to give you some peace and quiet. The room was very spacious and the reception was attentive and helpful.

The wifi connection was a bit weak and slow in room 18.
