The room was exactly like the photos, I loved the interior! The Christmas decorations were also lovely! Comfortable room with all the appliances and they even had balloons and swans in the room to celebrate our anniversary, along with a present for us! Such a sweet and thoughtful touch :) the neighbourhood also felt very safe!
The location isn’t as close to the centre as people have mentioned. I thought it was much closer judging by the 9.6 rating for location, but it is a good bit of a walk away from dam square and the red light district etc . The lighting in the room was terrible, it was so dark. No light above the long mirror in the room, which was needed in my opinion

I didn’t try the breakfast but it smelled lovely each morning. Plenty of other options nearby that we wanted to try. The whole place was super-friendly and the location was ideal (just a short walk away from the main centre - close enough to get there, but the location was quiet which is what we were after). Staff were so helpful throughout. I’d happily stay there again.

Clean, quiet, nice view.
No help from staff with the luggage to/from room (we carried it our self). No drinking water and tissues in room. Stairs to the room which is un-convenient when carrying luggage and maybe for elderly. Far from Dam Square. I believe this hotel is expensive compared to the room, facilities and services. Umbrella usage is not free.

This property is on the perfect location. It’s on a residential street so it’s quiet and you are among all the locals but close enough to walk to everything! The staff was exceptional, the rooms were very clean and spacious. Worth every Penny! I highly recommend this place!
Our air conditioning was faulty when we arrived but they had set up portable AC for two days until the company came up fix it. We didn’t have access to our room for 4 hours but they communicated that well in advance and also compensated us for the minor inconvenience. Handled very professionally. So not really that big a deal.

Close to central Amsterdam Despite not having a restaurant the Hotel had given great thought to advise customers of places to eat Efficient and good value breakfast offering.

Great location, nice view, friendly staff, fast response to requests. It was very close to both the Dam Square and on the opposite side the Amsterdam Central Station. It felt good to be in a local neighborhood, and in a typical Amsterdam building overlooking a canal. The breakfast was not included, but you could order it day before for €15 per person. However, they didn’t have a buffet breakfast. You ordered from a menu which had different selections for eggs, toasts and cereal. That is why we preferred to have breakfast at other local cafés and sandwich stops in the area.
The walls were too thin, and you could hear people talking and stomping their feet on the upper floor. Also, even though the bathroom was very wide and newly refurbished, the actual shower was very narrow and the shower curtain was touching all over your body when you are trying to take a shower. This was pretty annoying. Complementary tea bags was not refilled every day.

I don't know where to begin. This was the most exceptional stay. Equal only to one other hotel stay in all my decades of travel! 1) location was superb! You are very close walking distance to all the major locations in old town Amsterdam. Maybe a 7 minute walk to the Ann Frank house. A five minute walk to several notable museums. A 10 minute walk to the castle. A 10 minute walk to the red light district, if that's your interests. A 3 to 5 minute walk to Iincredible restaurants. A 7 MINUTE WALK TO AND FROM THE TRAIN STATION. 2) the canal is directly in front of the entrance to the hotel, allowing you to enjoy breakfast and coffee while watching boats and people go by. They had two bikes ready and available for use which made travel even easier to the outskirts of old town, and into modern Amsterdam. 3) The rooms are so quite! It's as if they are sound proof from entirety of the world, except your noisy trip partner. They are so much larger than the normal hotels in Europe. There was two full large closets several dresser drawers and the decor was a wonderful romantic avant-garde style with beautiful tapestrys and decotr, that not only ignited your senses but caused instant relaxationand curiosityat the same time. It was a room inspired to elicit dreaming. It was so lovely, you couldnt help but smile because you had entered a real life wide awake magical dream. The beds were superb! The mattresses where so soft and so comfortable, it felt as thorough you were being swadle.and cradled while you slept. You became so relaxed and felt so safe, you could only dream of pleasant things, until you nosing snoring menopausal neighbor began her nightly sequence of sleeping noises. I'll never travel with her again! Back to the topic at hand. The sheets were so soft, and the pillows were picked with perfection . The pillows were not too dense, not too soft and again, left your head feeling like you were being cradle by a loving person.
I would recommend Uber if you are not walking from thebtrsin. It was €15.vs €35 euro by taxi

Staff was very friendly but unobtrusive. Always ready to serve at the bar, but not lingering. Breakfast was optional for a reasonable fee (17 euro), ordered evening prior which is very nice to have exactly what you want. Omelets made to order and croissants were superb. Comfortable, firm beds. We much appreciated having a door to a small courtyard. No seating in the courtyard, but very pleasant for fresh air and hearing the mourning doves.
We had a "large, deluxe triple" but even then a bit cozy for three. No lounge chair or sitting area in room, other than two small cafe chairs best used for backpacks.

The hotel is in a fantastic location in the Jordaan neighborhood, only a 15 minute walk from the central station. The front reception staff were all lovely, friendly, and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was warm with good water pressure. Surprisingly, the room was overall quiet even though it was facing out onto the canal. This even though we stayed over the weekend of King's Day! The loud music from the street party was stopped at 10pm. We were pleasantly surprised.
The room was pretty cozy for the price. We would have been much more comfortable with the two of us and our baby's travel crib if we had chosen a 3-person room. However, it seemed prohibitively expensive so we went with the 2-person room. We also had to bring our own travel crib or else be charged 20 euro per night to use the hotel's crib. I chose this hotel specifically because it was advertised as 'baby friendly' -- charging extra for a cot doesn't seem very baby friendly to me. Not to mention, there are steps leading into the hotel and even steps in the hallways after taking the elevator up to the room -- therefore it is not very friendly if you have a pram or stroller. If ours hadn't been easily collapsible we would have been in trouble.

This is simply a beautiful, well-maintained, comfortable boutique hotel in the fashionable West of the city, a 3 minute walk from the Noorder Market, the most famous Apple Cake in Amsterdam, and to the best shopping streets. Well-appointed room lookng out on the canal, lovely, comfortable bed, plenty of storage. Helpful staff, especially Stefan, who gave us a map and list of local restaurants on our arrival, and the menu for breakfast, which you order before 11pm, not a problem. The rooms are spotless, and full of charachter. Water in hotel is clean and drinkable, so we refilled often. The bathroom was small but luxurious and great water pressure.
There was not one thing about the hotel I didn't like. Fluffier towels, maybe...
