Nice location, room was very clean. We had a fan, although we prefer airconditioning. We liked the small coffee corner in the room. There was some usefull extra storage room for clothes. A bonus point: we forgot our Tony Chocolonely in the fridge, after a call, the personnel put it aside and we could still pick it up at the reception.

There was an extreme smell of cleaning products in the room, after opening the window for a few minutes it was ok. We prefer arconditioning to a fan. The room was small and the bathroom even smaller. Good for one night but not for a long stay.

Amazing location in a leafy district with a zoo located opposite the hotel (the sound of a flamingo flock along with the usual morning birdsong was lovely). The mattresses were comfortable and the linen good quality. There was a coffee machine and a kettle with supplies topped up. Easy to use shower and the handsoap/shampoo/body wash dispensers were full. Good choice for breakfast (choices of milks inc. oat, cereals, yoghurts, cheeses, salads, scrambled/boiled eggs, excellent loaves daily, Dutch Apple pie, pastries). Lovely, welcoming reception staff. Space to store luggage.

The en-suite was tiny with a gap of about 3” between the door and the step. Not a huge problem if you’re good friends or with a partner, you just have to be careful not to knock the door flying open when drying yourself if not! There are a three toilets available on the lower ground level if needed.

The room was nice and spacious with an enormous bed!! A kettle, an iron and board were great to have. The bathroom was super modern and exceptionally clean with a wonderful shower! Towels were changed every day which I wasn't expecting. The number 14 tram was great for us. A 30 second walk to the stop and we were in the centre of the city within 10 minutes.

If I had to pick something that I didn't like about the hotel, the only think I could say is that there was quite a lot of hair and bits on the floor in the room. With it being carpeted, it could perhaps do with a little more attention to detail. The rest of the room was immaculate.

Lovely hotel, very clean inside and out. We had a triple bedroom for 3 ladies and it was perfect for our 2 night stay. Bathroom is very small but we didn’t find this a problem. We were able to sleep with the window open as it was lovely and quiet at night and we were very kindly given breakfast with our stay, only had it once on the last day. Usual continental breakfast but it was nice, thank you Lancaster! The reception staff and cleaners we spoke to were all very nice and helpful. Tram stop seconds away from the hotel so very easy getting to different areas of the city without being right in the middle of it all.

Nothing we didn’t like!

Great location, walking distance to the centrum but there is a tram stop as well almost in front of the hotel. All the staff members we met were very welcoming and friendly . The breakfast was simple but nice ,the room was big and had a Nespresso machine, iron ,a water bottle and i little treat of chocolates from the hotel .

Everything was good, a suggestion would be to maybe have some stronger lamps in the rooms that are in the basement , it was quite dark in there which is perfect for sleeping but a bit hard during the day to see around.

Great location , clean and comfortable. Great value for money.

Small doubles are quite small. Would definitely return, maybe consider a larger double next time.

This was our third stay at this location. We like it in particular because of the staff. They are all incredibly helpful and friendly. Also the location, it's a nice and quiet part of the city and it's easy to get to other parts of the city. There are numerous fun things to do and locally-owned establishments nearby. This time, my husband's sister accompanied us to help celebrate his 70th birthday. She had a minor problem with the plumbing in her room, but as soon as we informed him and he could, Jeremy put her in a new room (which we really appreciated).

I wish the refrigerator in the room held a little more. The shelves in the door aren't usable since there's no way for anything to be held in place. Also wish there were more TV channels/options, although I realize you probably have little control over what is available. For example, more English closed-captioning channels or a cable available for connecting my own devices or that the TVs were "cast" ready. We don't really watch much when we're there, though, so it's not a deciding factor for us.

This is our 2nd stay at the Lancaster, that firstly should highlight how nice it is. The location is perfect for those who want to be close enough to experience Amsterdam but enough removed to relax. There is a tram stop close by so once your feet get tired, it's just a quick hop on the tram. the staff are great and always willing to help, reception staff are especially helpful. There is a turndown service every 3 days, but we had our room tidied for us 3 of the 4 days we were there. the checkout time is 12pm which is great for those leaving, and they have baggage storage for those on a later flight home.

check in is not until 3pm, which isnt as good for those arriving early, however as mentioned they do have a baggage storage area. Some may say the rooms are really small, this is not so ething I would complain about, they are big enough and ads to the experience.

Great location. Absolutely loved the staff. Pretty modest, but tasty breakfast. Super fast check-in and check-out processes. You can also do that yourself. Room has coffee machine, kettle with tea selection, iron and ironing board already in the room, so you don’t need to get it from the staff.

My room had a bathroom on the ground level of the room, and sink with the shower were on the second floor. So when you’re using the bathroom at night you’ll also have a trip to a sink having a journey of your life to wash your hands. It’s fine when you are traveling solo, but with the parter it would be tricky not to wake them up.

The location of this hotel was pretty ideal. It was just outside of the core of Amsterdam but still walkable (about a 20 minute walk to the heart) and very close to transit options. We didnt discover until our last day that it is also across the street from a bird sanctuary including a flock of flamingos. There were plenty of food options nearby and grocery stores. The staff were very helpful. The hotel was also very clean and our room was in great condition when we arrived.

The room was very small. There was barely enough room to walk around the foot of the bed and with 2 carry on sized suitcases open, almost all the floor space was taken up.
