If you want beachfront it doesn't come any better than this. Perfect place for swimming, strolling on the sand, or just sitting at one of the tables on the lawn enjoying coffee with a view. Also easy walking to a fantastic range of cafes and eateries - although the kitchen is well equipped for self-catering too. The owners/managers are a pleasure to deal with and the units, though showing their age a little, are clean, comfortable and spacious. All the best bits of the kiwi bach experience -with no lawns to mow.

In mid-August it was a wee bit chilly in the lounge during the evening. There are heaters, but our preferred option was to snuggle up under the fluffy blanket from the foot of the bed. Also the units were built before people started taking their electronics on holiday so power points are not as numerous as you might wish. But popping a multiplug into your overnight bag would solve that nicely.

My stay at Edgewater was fantastic, it has been my second time staying here, great location, sound and view of the sea and beach, room was very tidy clean and comfortable. Weather was absolutely stunning, loved it. The managers were very friendly and welcoming.

It was in the middle of winter, on particularly freezing days, so the little oil column heater was nice but took forever to heat up the room

The location next to the beautiful Orewa Beach is just amazing. A plus is being only 10 minutes walk into the shops and Town Centre. The owners were really welcoming, helpful, and pleasant. The property is a little dated - but - we had everything we needed, and as mentioned it was all spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay again.

Maybe a few hooks behind bedroom and bathroom door.

Cozy older style studio with a comfortable bed. 2 seater couch. Kitchen was well appointed with a cook top, microwave, crockery and cutlery. Went to sleep listening to the waves lapping on the beach. Away from the road. Right on the beach and not far from eateries and shops.

A couple of kitchen bar stools to eat at the breakfast bar would have been nice. Otherwise nothing

We were basically central of town. Supermarkets nearby as well as the park, beach which was very handy. We enjoyed every bit of the space we had and we sure know our kids did too. It was comfortable, spacious and it over exceeded to what we had expected to see. I completely appreciate this place and would highly recommend.

There was absolutely nothing that we didn't like which shows how well this place is looked after and presentable.

We were welcomed by the manager after check in time had closed. We settled straight in and had a chance to check out the beach in the morning. It was comfy and clean.

It was a little old school in its feel and appearance but we're not too fussed about those things as long as it's clean, which it was.

The motel is absolutely brilliant. My husband and I stayed there with our daughter and four grandchildren. The family room was perfect for them with everything they needed and was spacious and comfortable. The motel location is stunning,right on the beachfront and so handy to all the shops as well. The owners are so helpful,friendly,welcoming and accomodating and the cleanliness of the rooms is absolutely exceptional.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Lack of parking (got told I have designated park, left and came back all park were full. Not a good feeling to have to leave car on road when I was told there is a park for every unit) Too much foot traffic on balcony to have privacy . Maybe rooms need net curtains or tinted windows Balcony could have another form of seperation from neighbours.

The location was amazing, right on the beach, and close to shops, the staff were very helpful whenever we requested assistance- would highly recommend!

It was the only one motel out of 5 we stayed in on our holiday throughout the north island that didn't have available laundry facilities and we had to try and hunt down a laundromat most days due to being on beach and very sandy clothes every day!

We had just flown into NZ and were having issues with our cards. Cherie in the office was so understanding, patient and super helpful. She eased our stress and helped us solve our problems. The motel is right on the beach and while old is well maintained and clean. It is in easy walking distance to the town centre.
