Great being able to have a dog with us, this was a major reason we booked here and we were pleased we did. Even has a doggy friendly park directly behind it. Well set up with all the basics thought of, tidy room and a friendly knowledgeable owner, and the set up was fine for what we needed. Room was cosy with heater provided and surprisingly quiet overnight given the location. Didn't go to the sailing club bar/restaurant opposite but looked like a good place to try next time, also dog friendly and literally just across the road!

Fridge hadn't been wiped out, not a major but was a curry smell (went when wiped it clean). Shower cubicle looking a bit tired but rest of the room was fine. The way have to connect Netflix to TV was confusing though - we thought had logged out on the TV but realised it was still connected a few days later when someone (probably quite innocently) used it in the room - so you have to go back into your own Netflix account and delete the device - not just exit on the TV.

Excellent location. We loved that it was dog friendly, with access to a dog exercise area through the back gate. Our unit was very comfortable and clean. The beds were comfortable with plenty of bedding. Having 2 heaters available meant we could keep the unit comfortably warm. Our host was very welcoming, helpful, and congenial.

Although clean, the facilities were a little tired. The bathroom was very small. The extractor fan was not very effective and the window a bit rickety when opened to help with the steam. Although a great location, we thought this was a bit over priced.

Great location, close to Mavericks restaurant and walking distance to the Two Mile Bay Sailing Club. The property allows pets to stay for a small fee, which made this family trip more complete & memorable. The Cottage unit was warm & cosy, beds were very comfortable & made to a high standard. The courtyard can be gated off for pet security & privacy. The only small issue we had was the width of the driveway, having a small vehicle would be helpful in this instance. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed staying here and highly recommend to all.

We had a wonderful time here, Ross was very welcoming and gave us some good advice on places to eat and things to do. We had the little flat out the back ,that was perfect for my husband and I. It had a little area for making breakfast. It is one room and a little bathroom, we had no trouble placing our bags out of the way. The bed was very comfortable and the room was beautiful presented, very clean. I would definitely recommend staying at this property, they have larger rooms with proper kitchen if needed.

Spacious Cottage indoors and out! Had a lovely courtyard that had gates we could put up easily on either side for privacy and to contain a dog. Loved that it was dog friendly, and there was a big reserve right out the back!! Warm rooms with comfortable beds! The shower was amazing, and there was great pressure! Loved how peaceful it was, couldn't hear any road noise at all. Beautiful place to stay, right by the lake! Friendly staff and very clean! Very happy!!

We booked The Cottage as we took our dog with us. A little dated but spacious with easy parking and a green area right behind the cottage for the dog to run. Across the road from the Lake front with a supermarket an easy walk away.

Had an issue with getting the live TV to work (but the host was able to remedy that). Bathroom could have done with a good scrub.

The facilities were wonderful. Youthere couldn't ask for better service. Second time being therecand will be back. It was great as we could take our little dog with us.

There was nothing to complain about we just so satisfied. One thing you can't control is the rain .

A fantastic location, just across the road from the lake, with other facilities like restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The room was very clean and well-ordered, and the host is professional, helpful and informative. The ability to bring our dogs is greatly appreciated and there is a reserve behind the motel which is great for walks.

The motel is located in the perfect location. It was perfect for nipping over the road to get a drink and go for a swim in the lake. The room was much larger than expected and was fantastic for what we needed.

The general motel wall paper, carpet, kitchens etc is dated and batch vibes but it is perfect for the price and location!

Enough room for luggage, comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. Everything was clean and tidy, no visible wear too. Great location and owner is very friendly. Wifi's good too. Reception is open until late which was great as I could hike all day until it was dark, then travel to Taupo.

My room wasn't preheated, but it was due to small error with my prepayment. I got an upgraded room which was more than enough compensation. Also, the heater was very strong so don't worry about room temperature even in winter.
