It was a nice clean room. Great to have a kettle and cups/spoons and tea/coffee. A nice hot shower. We had a hot spa there. The receptionist was lovely and gave us extra towels. It was a very nice motel with a lovely view. Had a good vibe there. Felt like it would have been very glamorous when it first opened in the late 80s. I slept well there. A short drive to town. I would recommend this place.

The bar fridge was noisey. My partner hated the bed, (very soft and you sink in) and had a terrible sleep unfortunately. We got a cheap room with 3 single beds. Possibly a queen bed might have been ok.

there was in my room two different beds one soft one hard which was good because I don't like soft so I slept on the hard mattress. the pool we did see but we did not go swimming in this unfortunately we also didn't know whether this was heated or not. the rooms were clean and what we expected for the price. Staff were very helpful.

the price for breakfast should have an adult price and child price. I was told it was one price for all, and I had 3 children under 5 which I thought $25 dollars was a lot for a small child that would have only eaten $5-10 worth of food. we would have eaten there if we had better prices for families we opted to go to McDonalds

The fridge in our room was super cold, it froze my watermelon! Froze almost everything. When we had our room serviced the bed looked super rough and our room service dishes were still left behind for us to return to, not sure if there is a procedure about leaving them in the room until check out or something but would have been nice to have that cleared. Otherwise awesome stay!

I stayed in a room that seems to have been updated recently - it was clean, bathroom was spotless. Had no issues. Handy location.

I tried to see reviews of the restaurant as I was thinking of doing dinner there, and instead found a lot of reviews for the motel. I was surprised to see so many negative reviews. I was just wanting a comfortable room and bed. The bed did seem 'tired',but all the pillows and linen etc were spotless. Had absolutely no issues and I would stay there again.

Our group was really happy with our time in Taupo. We loved the town and really enjoyed the experience of sitting by the lake, jet boating and eating out. What made our experience all the more positive was our accommodation at Lakeland Resort. The room was comfortable and large enough for three single beds. We also made use of the laundry facilities which were easy to use and accessible. We did pay for the $25 buffet breakfast on one of the mornings and the food provided was really nice. Staff were also very friendly.

nice and comfty with everything i need to support myself, with toilets, bath tub, shower and free products that were good. Loved that staff provided me with new shower and face towels, that was really helpful. loved the staff there provided me with a bowl and cutlery to take back to room and use and staff there are friendly as. Be good to have a pamphlet of stuff to do at Taupo at reception or something for new guest not from Taupo.

Will be good to have a microwave there and bowls to eat in. Faster internet will be good :))

I was delighted by the positivity of the staff I talked to on the phone. I was digitally challenged and also phoned forward to let the team know we were arriving later than anticipated. On arrival and throughout, we experienced more positivity. You have the right people at the coalface, so important!

Just to have a comfy chair to relax in rather than the desk chair or bed. To have known the restaurant was not open for dinner. Apart from that I was very happy.

Excellent front-of-house staff. Clean and tidy room (119). Upstairs. Good water pressure in shower. Good value for money (supposedly I got a small discount through Booking.com, but who really knows for sure!)

Very loud sound of water flow in pipes when neighbouring unit used their shower. But if that was the price of good water pressure, that’s okay. Could do with some strong bleach to kill the few spots of persistent mould in grouting/silastic around shower/bath. But it was nothing gross.

The reception staff were excellent and gave me an extra milk when I asked. The location was excellent and within walking distance to the 2 mile bay sailing club. The beds were comfortable and I enjoyed the spa pool.

The cleaners put the huge rubbish skip outside our room 144 in the morning, which was loud and unpleasant hearing the rubbish being thrown into it.

The staff, restaurant especially that we could get room service, spa, parking, location, price, buffet breakfast…all was really great!

If I’m really being picky but it’s nothing at all, truly! But I wish the chef would do eggs on demand like poached or fried (even as an extra charge) and the mattresses could be updated but I slept in the middle so was all good!
