The accommodation had everything we needed for our family. It was clean, spacious and warm. The biscuits were delicious according to my children! Convenient location. Beautiful views from our upstairs room. Well stocked with amenities and kitchenware and linen.

The gaps between the railings on the stairs were too far apart and I was nervous my young children might slip and fall through the gaps. Quite dangerous in my opinion. We couldn’t park outside our room as there wasn’t enough space so had to walk our bags from the car park to our room. Waited for the people in the room beside us to leave in the morning so we could back our vehicle in and load it up before we left. Didn’t have linen to make up the fold out bed either. Otherwise thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and our stay. Those negatives were so minor in comparison to all the good!

Location is right on the lake front a 7min walk into town, Rooms were spacious, Cooking amenities were perfect for our family had everything you needed to cook with including salt & pepper which was awesome as we didn't have to buy any. The host also made a batch of home made cookies for us which was a lovely touch when you walk into the apartment.

Car parking in the corner apartments were very tight especially when all the vehicles are SUV or Van size. But that is very minor as you have the option to park in the front car parks.

The property is right across the lake, and Franklyn and Kavita are the perfect hosts. We booked a one bedroom suite with a private hot pool. The suite comes with a living room that has a sofa that converts into a bed, a separate bedroom with a double bed, and a covered courtyard behind the bedroom that has the hot tub. The small kitchenette is helpful to whip up a quick meal or do some basic cooking. The bathroom is quite spacious and very modern. With plenty of parking, this is one of the best places to stay in Taupo. Nearly all of the rooms have a view of the lake. Both Kavita and Franklyn are passionate about hosting people, and it was great to have long conversations with them. I can't wait to be back again, albeit for a longer time.

The price compared to other properties was perhaps a bit high. No major issues

Staff were friendly and helpful as I had a child who became sick. Loved the view out to the lake. Great having the chairs and table on the porch and the picnic tables near road too. Good sized rooms.

The hot pool was either too hot or too cold. We never quite got the right temperature for me and my son to be able to be in the hot pool together. Minor thing but the microwave was not working and had to be moved up to the bench to be able to use it.

Large, clean, comfortable, and quiet one bedroom unit with well equipped kitchen.. The unit had everything we needed for our two night stay and was just across the road from the lake, and the walkway around the lake. A short two min drive/15 min walk to shops, cafes, and restaurants. Staff were friendly and the delicious home cooked shortbread cookies were a lovely personal touch.

Great spot immediately over the road from Lake Taupo. Room was very comfortable and the spa was a bonus. Staff were very welcoming and their homemade shortbread were a delight. They had arrangements for several restaurants - one of which gave us 20% discount on our meal and wine.

Bed was a little too firm for me, but my wife found it fine, so I suppose that you can't please everyone

Location is fantastic, apartment was very clean, comfortable and had all that is required. The home baked shortbreads were a very nice touch. Staff were very helpful and resourceful.

One thing that can be a disturbance is the noise from other residents, as the apartments are terrace, and I don't think they are sound insulated.

Great views, top service, good value for money. Our expectations were exceeded in both the facilities and the wonderful supportive service from the hosts. Had additional extras not always at other motels, such as dish drawer, electric blanket, good sized TV and night light. The spa was also wonderful.

Stuart was the perfect host. Everything in the unit was perfect. Especially the cleanliness. Towels and bed linen, they have thought of all the little details that a 5* hotel would have: toilet seat wrapping to say sterile: toilet paper folded to a point. Milk in the fridge. Even our own hot tub, looked perfect, although we didn't use it!
