Loved the layout and location. It was quiet at night yet close to shops etc. the Bed was comfy and it was clean. Very comfortable chairs with footstools and good wifi. Good kitchen facilities. On of our most comfortable stays.

The combined washer/dryer didn’t dry your clothes so an airer was provided but it was in the way wherever you put it. The mains power (not the fault of the accommodation) went out on our first night so no hot shower or air conditioning to dry our clothes. Power was restored at 1.00am when our bedroom light went on. Manager was very helpful but it was a bit disruptive.

The place was much bigger than expected and spacious. Great for us travellers with large luggages. Clean apartment with a good variety and quality of amenities provided. Check in was seamless - Michelle even let us drop our bags when we reached way before the check in time, and let us check in early so we could get to explore the rest of the town. Love the way the door is locked - so fuss free!! Facilities were good, there’s washing machine, induction stove with pots and pans, kitchenware and complimentary Nespresso capsules and coffee and tea. I also love their hot chocolate!!! (bloom) ☕️ Love that there is a backyard area which we can sun/dry off our clothes with the drying rack in the room. There’s also hair dryer, sufficient hangers, iron and ironing board and TV with YouTube connection. Parking space was very sufficient, great porch and quite near the beach (walking distance to the hot water beach and also to shops, restaurants and supermarkets) Overall great experience and would highly recommend this place to couples and families looking to stay in Taupo. Location. Clean. Great kitchen facilities, lovely bathroom toiletries & we appreciated the washing machine. We were astounded at the number of power and usb charging points available in one small space! This is a great motel, probably the best one we’ve stayed in while travelling the north island of NZ. Excellent communication on checking in with electronic PIN code entry.

This is getting very very picky! A sieve in the kitchen to strain pasta would have been handy. If the owners are looking at ways to improve I’d recommend a diffuser with a warming smell.

The set up off the unit was great. With a few mod cons around the room was nice.

I couldn't work the washer dryer instructions there wasn't any tht I could find. Also how the owner just walk right into the unit while I was out the back next thing back door opens and this lady is standing there I had no idea who she was until she said tht I had sent her a email but that still doesn't give her the right to just walk right into my unit and be rude about it. Apart from that it was a lovely stay.

We've stayed at E Motel several times previously with the combination of location, facilities and the comfort of previous experience being the main drivers. It is a short walk to the bottom of town where most cafes restaurants (including McDonalds) and bars are located. The lake is also only a short walk across a park - wide open spaces. A friendly cat made an appearance, seemingly very familiar with the opportunity for attention

We had car parking directly outside our unit which helped packing/unpacking. The facilities in the sitting room area were really comfortable. The foot rests were a nice addition and something I’d probably like to copy! The kitchen area had all we needed in terms of dish washing facilities and fridge etc. The location is really good as it is in close proximity to Lake Taupo with a restricted view available from the unit. The location was also a short walk to the town centre shops and amenities. The location also allowed easy road links to exit Taupo in any direction avoiding the town centre area.

The only slight criticism (and if this is the only thing it must be good ) the unit could benefit from some kitchen towels/kitchen roll. One thing that is beyond the owners control is sometimes some of the local youngsters liked to drive their modified cars along the street outside - this wasn’t constant by any means but you do get the odd bit of car noise occasionally.

1. Great range of facilities provided, including a good kitchen and a washing machine which doubles as a dryer. 2. The digital lock on the front door is very convenient. 3. Very comfortable lounge furniture. 4. Sensor lights in the bathroom are very helpful at night. 5. All main lights have dimmers. 6. Walking distance to the lake front and the town centre. 7. Very helpful manager.

Booked this last minute as another booking fell through. Super convenient, right on the shore of Lake Taupo. Excellent amenities -this unit had everything. Love that the bathroom door doesn't open onto the bedroom and shine light in one sleeping person when you walk in the door. Loved the sensors in the bathroom.

If I was going to nit-pick, there were only two things missing -I always like a safe to store my passport/electronics. Would like a coffee plunger -only option was Nespresso but it makes small cups. I didn't love the combo washer-dryer.

The accommodation was very clean, and had all the comforts of being at home. Stove stop, microwave, dishwasher, pots & pans, cutlery, utensils, toaster, dinnerware & glasses, also a washer & dryer. Plus a heat pump and Bose Bluetooth speaker & Nespresso Coffee Machine and Fridge. Nice king size bed with an electric blanket if you need it.

Contactless check in and check out is brilliant, also location, facilties esp kitchen and having washing machine, outdoor areas

Only a small gripe, but manager and others kept walking up and down at the rear of the unit through patio areas several times a day, which we found a bit intrusive, didnt feel very private. Perhaps they and cleaners etc could use the front accessway to get from one end to the other and to access the units if needed. A few resident cats about who kept wanting to come inside, and my husband is allergic to them.
