It was a beautiful room and very nicely appointed, the bed was super comfortable with nice linens. The room was very large and had a nice layout, and was spotlessly clean. The managers were very nice and welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much thank you.

The room was lovely but was very different to what was advertised and what we booked... it said it was a suite but it was a room, it said it had separate living room and bed room but there was only one room, it was headlined as mountain views but there was only a little peep of mountains, it said it was provided with chocolates but there were none. However, the room was so nice and we were so tired having just completed a long tramp that we did not complain, and we enjoyed the lovely room which was so pleasant, clean and comfortable very much. But please, check your listings. Thank you!

Room 5 is cosy, well appointed, and has the cutest planted little deck out the back. The motel has plenty of parking and the staff were so friendly and helpful, both on arrival and departure. It's two streets back from the lake, but honestly, it was so quiet and relaxing after staying on the lake - we are converts. We might try for an upstairs view next time, perhaps ... but honestly it didn't matter. Comfy bed, good kitchenette, plenty of room in the bathroom - everything we needed. Town and lake both close by. We will be back!

Nothing to dislike here

Everything. Perfect for our family of 5. The second TV on the second room was great for the kids. Staff were lovely. Check in was so fast. Courtyard was great for some outdoor space. All the windows were open on arrival which meant the room was fresh and cool, great on a warm day.

The only thing that would have been handy was we requested a portacot which was supplied but not put up. We struggled to get it up so ended up using our own. However, had we asked for help, I know we would have received it.

The room layout was perfect for us as there was a seperate bedroom for our son and he was really excited to have a tv in his room aswell! Rooms were well appointed and spacious and the decor is modern and clean. the underfloor heating in the bathroom was such a luxury :)

the only issue was getting the tv in the main area going, after following directions we were still not able to get freeview tv working and had to stream netflix from our own account.

Very good facility, helpful lady when I first arrived. Good size clean room. The huge bathroom and spa bath were great, I didn't use the bath but was very tempted, I normally avoid them due to them looking a bit grotty. In my room you could open a little louvered hatch so you could watch TV in the bath. Very hard to fault.

The TV is a pain to use, and had limited channels, I did see other people made comments in the same vain in the reviews, this is my only negative, not a Biggy but a little disappointing.

Great size and comfortable room with air conditioning, which helped as it got warm. Good size kitchenette that was well catered with pots/pans and utensils, along with a decent sized fridge and drawer/cupboard space for storing food and supplies we had for meals. Close to town to walk if needed and also short walk down to the lake front (10 minutes either way).

Although there was a venetian blind over the kitchen window, it still let in a bit of light from the main Motel lights at night time, but ok as we did have eye masks with us

Staff were lovely. Place was clean. Location pretty good. Good facilities. Spa bath!

Our first night - bed was very uncomfortable, however staff kindly moved us into a new room and this was much better. Some small maintenance required (hole in wall in kids room, kitchen blinds need a clean). Rules on not using heat pump after 10 quite unrealistic - the rooms were very hot and if we left windows open the lake flies would come in.

Outstanding hospitality! Everyone is going the extra mile to make this stay as relaxing, as positive, as special as possible. This was truly remarkable. The rooms were way better than we expected at this price range. The kitchenette had everything we needed, the bathroom was spacious and the bed/livingroom was big well designed. The BBQ and outdoor area was unique. We loved the pretty trees and the awesome grill. 10/10 and 100% recommendation. This was by far the best stay in New Zealand.

We spent my birthday weekend in this place and we loved the place! The kids loved the spa bath and enjoyed it so much. There are lots of beds and we found out there was this folding sofa that can turn to bed as well! Beds are comfortable and room was spacious 😊 The room is clean and they replaced our towels the next day. Overall, it was a wonderful stay for our little family 😀

Cutlery is dirty and some of the plates had a bit of old food stains😑

Staff are awesome, let us keep other vehicle in their off-street park outside their usual check-in and booking hrs while we worked out of town using other (work) vehicle. Stayed before, will stay again. Great place good value for money. Bonus: more quiet place as well than the waterfront motels, but still walking distance from shops/restaurants and beach.
