The room was cleaned/serviced daily on-demand; heating was excellent via heat pump and a separate wall-heater. Then there was the underfloor heating in the tiled kitchen-area and bathroom ... an incredible benefit as the overnight temperature dropped to 1degC one night! The shower and bathroom facilities were exceptional. Overall, the standard of fixtures and fittings were exceptional, well-maintained, and the overall experience actually really impressive. Free wifi was fast - and maintained its high-speed even during evenings etc. And the motel is close to the town centre - which makes driving in an out very easy. Parking was right outside our room door. You can't ask for better than that!

Our fault really, we'd booked a downstairs room which hardly saw much sunlight this time of the year in NZ (Autumn). Next time we'll stay in an executive room on the top-floor - with a small balcony and which captures the sunlight every afternoon!

This complex could be made much better by attention to some minor maintenance details. ie. window latch broken, replacing silicone around the bottom of the shower that was moldy, very noisy fan in bathroom. TV sound was very quiet which was difficult for my husband who has a hearing problem. The gardens all needed attention. This could be a really great complex with a bit of maintenance and attention to detail.

Our room was extremely spacious and comfortable. The bathroom and shower pressure was excellent, well above average. Location was great, an easy walk into town and to the lake. We only stayed one night because we were on a road trip north but would have loved to stay longer. Would definitely stay here again.

I sometimes stay here overnight for work and it is one of the best and nicest places to stay in Taupo. It's within walking distance to the city centre (about 10min), roughly about the same to the lake side, the rooms are very nice, comfortable and clean, and, most of all, the host is absolutely amazing. Absolute great communication and very friendly and accommodating. This place will always be my go-to whether for work or leisure.

Comfortable and quiet.

Two tiny personal niggles only - the shelf for crockery was just above floor level and I have trouble bending that far down. At least a higher shelf in the crockery cupboard would help. This was the first time in many years of "motelling" that the water pressure was too high and had to be turned down - but that was way better than the other way around.

Beautifully clean. Spacious and comfortable. Felt like I was home as the reception guy made us feel super comfortable and welcomed. The first ever motel that ever made me feel like this in my life. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!! Rate it 100/100 had the BEST TIME in Taupo. Thankyou thankyou thankyou sooo much Chantillys motor lodge I will be back🥰

It was very spacious for 3 people. I like how it had a balcony and very handy to places. and i also enjoyed rhe swing pool and the spa pool was very relaxing.

Just the view from the balcony, wish we had one by the road side but besides that everything was excellent. oh and when it rained it was very slippery to walk around, and also didnt have anything to cook on.

We have stayed there before but it was under different ownership, This time the experience was different, Not as good on the customer service side , More about the money.

The office was unattended and had to wait for one of the cleaner staff to advise the owner that I was waiting., Zero customer service , Fridge was full of water and leaked on the floor each time the door was opened, A very big group or asian visitors arrived and we're very inconsiderate, Yelling across the carpark at each other .

No rubber mat in the slippery shower. Making up the bed was not part of daily services although they did clean the bathroom and provide new towels. Is this a NZ thing where they don’t make up the bed - it was our first 2 night stay so don’t know the local hotel customs

Basic motor hotel, a bit dated but great staff, easy check in/out, good wifi, electrical outlets both sides of beds, kitchenette, great shower towels, large room lots of space for 2 suitcases

Walk up with no elevator was not a negative. Pool was popular we did not use
