I cannot recommend the incredible service of Maggie and her team throughout our stay at Ashbrook. She was so friendly, hospitable and helped us at any time of day or night (in our case 1am). Our rooms were cleaned daily and washing facilities were available. We were close to town (sub 1km walk to main town centre) and with a designated car spot which was so helpful given we were in town for the Ironman World Champs. I look forward to returning to not only Taupo, but to see Maggie in the future.

Nothing to complain about at all. If you are after bigger cooking facility, this isn't available here, but otherwise a great stay!

The location, the parking, the host omg she was so welcoming, professional and kind. She had/has a Lolly bowl sitting at reception on the counter with one of my favourite type of lollies for the guests as they check in. Who wouldn’t love that? 🤩 The room was perfect, the bed was comfy, the sun was streaming in to the front entrance and the little outdoor chairs/front porch part was bathed in sun too. It was only minutes from all of the shops etc and the lake. 👏👏

What a fabulous little gem - this motel exceeded my expectations, price wise and the quality of the room. It was located in a quiet area with town nearby. Considering its freezing right now, the room was exceptionally warm and very comfortable. The owner was fantastic as well. Will definitely come back and stay here again.

We required a wheel chair accessible room and found the bathroom and space to maneuver around the suit excellent. A ramp was also provided for assistance at the door. The suit it self was spotlessly clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff were all helpful and friendly too.

Great location, short walk into town. Very warm greeting at reception. I had inadvertently booked a spa studio room in which the shower was over the spa bath… I required a more accessible bathroom for elderly parent, I was offered a different room with no trouble and no extra charge. Immaculate rooms, beautifully presented and very comfortable.

Great location. Clean rooms, very comfortable bed and facilities were very well kept. Nice to be able to park right outside the room. Amazed by the service level. Highly recommended.

Perfect location for the event we were attending. The room was clean and well maintained, would definitely stay there again. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Thank you ever for an enjoyable stay.

Could not fault this motel

Room is well maintained and very clean and tidy, extremely comfortable bed, and quite away from any traffic. Enough space to park car and trailer. Short walk to town center and lake front. Would definitely stay again.

The accommodation exceeded my expectations. The room is very tidy and cleaned to a very high standard. Friendly welcome and really comfortable bed. Everything you need was provided. Walking distance from restaurants and shopping. I would return without doubt.

The room was very clean and spacious and had everything I needed to make my stay homely. The bed was also very comfortable, close to where we needed to go and was a nice and relaxing weekend. Would recommend staying in this motel!
