It was a nice 1 bedroom apartment. Very clean and good space for 2 people to stay. The host was kind enough to give me a rollaway bed to put in the living room. All the facilities were good, the location was very handy. Oh and there is a spa pool as well, that you can book at the reception and use for free.

This is a feedback for Booking.com and not the property. Booking.com advertised this as a lake view apartment and that is the reason I had booked it. But when I reached there the host informed that they did not have a view. The host believed that they have tried to get in touch with Booking.com about it but failed. I have raised a query with Booking.com about it. So if you are booking this place for a handy location and space please do, but not for a view.

We spent 1 night here in January 2025 and checked in after hours without any issue. Keys were kept in a safe at the reception and keybox code was provided beforehand. After collecting the envelope containing the room key, we proceeded to park our car onsite. Room 2 is on the second floor so we had to bring our luggage up. But surprisingly the flight of stairs had a gentle incline and the steps were wide, so bringing the luggage up was easy. The room was clean and comes with a kitchenette. The provision of the electric kettle and a new microwave were welcome amenities. The towel rack was switched on which was a kind consideration. Location was ideal as the shops and lakefront was a short walk away.

Amenities were almost perfect, but provision of facial tissues and bath gel instead of cakes of soap would be appreciated. The conditioning shampoo sachets were difficult to tear open by wet slippery hands. An adjustable hand-held shower head would be a bonus. The bathroom sink has separate hot and cold taps which make it difficult to get the right mix of temperature.

Roomy and comfortable. The bed and furniture was comfy and easy to relax in. Good kitchen facilities, great-sized fridge and plenty of bench & storage space. It was great to be able open windows up or use aircon. I loved the bathroom/toilet/shower set-up in the room I had. The shower was big and pressure divine! The location was spot on, close to the city centre, food, petrol station, supermarket. Easy to walk into town. For somewhere central plus a busy weekend, it was surprisingly quiet which was welcome.

So close to services. Comfortable walking distance as in less than one block from major supermarket and chemist amongst other stores. Comfy as bed. Nice and clean. Kitchen equipped enough to reheat or stove top cook. Host wasnt so chatty or helpful upon arrival but lovely and super helpful the next morning. Bad hair day maybe!! Lovely lake views from our second storey unit. Warm unit with spare blankets. Generous sized bathroom/toilet.

The dehumidifer set up as it blocked access to cupboards and restricted table seating. The room was small anyway but that made it worse. No other concerns. If windows were open there was a lot of traffic noise which we personally dislike but others may not even notice. Only three pillows and no cushions was not quite enough to sit on bed to watch tv in comfort. No couch or other armchairs.

The room was very spacious with a comfortable 2 seater, so we could sit relaxed watching tv (instead of lying on the bed). The separate kitchen was real good. We accidently paid twice for the accommodation (first through booking.com and then at the motel). Within 24 hours we had a refund of one payment. Well done !! The distance to the waterfront was 5 minutes walk. Great

There were a good number of ants in the kitchen in the morning. I was glad there was not an open packet with biscuits .

It was basic but very clean and a very convenient walking distance to the main shopping centre. We had two bedrooms and a lounge area, kitchen and bathroom, so it had lots of space and a back door to a small grass area which was good for the kids to run around on. The kids enjoyed the spa which was very near to our room. The heatpump kept the room very cosy.

The bed was not comfortable it had a dip in the middle and the couch was too firm to be comfortable.

The room was very clean, spacious and comfy. I was pleasantly surprised with the generous supply of fresh towels. The location is excellent. So close to town. It was nice to see the owners tending to their garden. They show great pride in their motel. Thank you to them and their cleaning staff.

I wasn't expecting it to be a nice place as the picture shows a bit old but when I checked in it was the opposite of what I expected. The place is very clean, smells good, linens are new, room is very spacious, TV is big and has youtube, netflix, and disney, and the kitchen is clean and not smelly. There's parking lot available within the vicinity. It is a walking distance to the city. There's also a heater which really works well and the bathroom is really clean. I would definitely recommend this place and if I'm coming back to Taupo I would be staying there 100% for sure. It's a good value for money. Stayed in the studio apartment for 3 days and 2 nights and paid cheaper than the other motels.

I booked 5 rooms and was really impressed with the amount of amenities available in the rooms and the space in each of the rooms was just right, the bathrooms were had just the right amount of space and the shower pressure was great. The location is fantastic being so close to the shops and restaurants was a quick 5min walk, the second floor view of the lake and mountains is amazing

Room was much bigger than expected, with a large kitchenette. It was a short walk to the lake, loads of food options and the shops. Plenty of carparking available, even during a busy time. Staff were so friendly and kind.

Fridge was efficient — perhaps too efficient as it froze our sandwiches, but really knitpicking here as there was nothing wrong with the room.
