Everything in this property was clean & we had room service every morning for the last 4 days we have stayed here. The receptionist man is very helpful too we are on our last day here & he has made our stay here an awesome one he helped us from the start up until our last day which was meant to be today but we enjoyed it so we added one more night because of their services and how helpful and clean they are, we also got the first room to the right so the view looking at the beach in the morning when the sunrise is up until it sets was one of my highlights and it's just close to all the shops and walking distance too. I will recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay visiting Taupo, definitely wont be my last time here i'll be back for sure with the rest of my family one day.

Everything was good nothing bad at this property.

I loved the balcony upstairs with amazing view across of Lake Taupo and sunlight. Waking up in the morning with the great view was so good. The beds were so comfy. The staff were so lovely , really welcoming and such amazing I believe they were a couple. We booked in 4 nights and booked an extra night that’s how much we’ve been enjoying our stay. Love how the shops are nearby our Motel and good for morning walks and seeing other people too on the road. Such a great experience there , I will definitely want to come back and stay here again.

Everything was perfect.

Location with an excellent water view, room 9 in front of the pool, absolutely appreciated, pool very refreshing with a dip in the outside spa after a swim, loved that there is so many exit ways to shops, parking, etc. Clean with extra blankets, towels, fan, and aircon, along with stocked kitchenette. Shops, lakes, markets, mini golf, restaurants, and shopping centers within 2-10mins of walking distance. Map available at reception of Taupo. Easy check in and check out.

There was no curtain netting for privacy in room 9, from others walking passed, once curtains opened.

- very close to the lake - extremely friendly and helpful staff - had a spa thingy (really needed it after the Tongariro trekking) - nice bed - was able to invite guests over which was cool

- the door was basically one layer of glass with metal frames(connected to the window), having a room on the first floor closest to the entrance and being a solo female traveler, kinda felt unsafe - there were a lot like A LOT of bugs in the pool but it was summer and the staff helped us get rid of them with a net so kinda understandable

Great location loved the spa bath in main bedroom very warm nicely set up apartment desided to stay a extra night as we enjoyed our space so much so the first 2 nights we are a ypung family of four two kids an my partner and myself our kids are 6 n 11 and both found our apartment awesome 👌 thanks will come again we loved having the end room number 1

Would of loved some spreads for toady ect or littke butter saves having to buy those things for short time was raining so couldnt enjoy the outside pool be cool if was heated slightly but overall cool time

Shower pressure was weak.

Right across the street from the lake and a short walk to the restaurant area, rooms and bed were comfortable and the spa was great too. The host was lovely, he took my dirty washing and washed it and then gave me a clothes hanger to dry it on, very very helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

We had roadwork's outside on the last night, which not the hotels fault but think the walls are on the thin side as I could hear our neighbors moving around as well. I'm not one to complain about shower pressure but it felt like it was ripping your skin off it was so hard. No option to reduce pressure

Awesome location, close to town, all the necessary facilities, and good views of the lake, friendly and helpful staff. Huge top floor bedroom and bathroom. Nice having two bathrooms.

Thin walls, very noisy drunk neighbours in the next room after midnight. However, staff shut them down almost immediately. All rooms were two storey and top floor was very creeky for those sleeping downstairs.

There was an incident with the room we had booked at our original motel and they kindly rang around while we were en route (with our permission) and found Le Chalet Suisse for us. We were a little disappointed as we had chosen the first motel for very specific reasons. However, the receptionist at Le Chalet Suisse was lovely and we felt very welcome. We know we were lucky to get the room at short notice at New Year. The location was great, within walking distance of the restaurants and shops in the township and we enjoyed our room with its view over the pool and Bumper Cars to the lake and promenade. Very clean, great shower pressure, and spa bath upstairs. Full kitchenette, two toilets, air conditioning, and the most fabulously comfortable bed. It was so relaxing we decided to stay a second night and they were able to fit us in.

It wasn't a dislike, more of a note for others. The chalets are two storied wi quite steep stairs and left to our own devices we wouldn't have chosen that as my husband suffers from a back injury. However, in this case, beggars could not be choosers and we managed for the short duration.

We had a wonderful stay at Le Chalet Suisse Motel in Taupo. The room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. It had complete cooking facilities, which made it feel just like home. The service was excellent, and the view from our room was stunning overlooking the beautiful Lake Taupo. We truly enjoyed our time here and would love to come back again!
