Great location right on lakefront and close walking distance to restaurants, cafes and shops. Also mini golf and Sunday farmers market just acoss the road. Lovely view of lake and mountains from our room (#14). Very clean and good kitchen. Nice hot and high pressure shower. Helpful staff. Good price.

On main road so a little noisy but it is a very central location so we preferred somewhere convenient with a view over peace and quiet. And other guests were very quiet so not a big issue. Fold out beds were not the most comfortable but given the price we were willing to sacrifice the extra comfort for saving $.

Very good value for money, we were also upgraded to a one bedroom apartment by booking .com. The room was large and very well equipped with a full size fridge, good size kitchen including oven. Large bathroom and separate bedroom. There was a balcony, room 17 up stairs which had a good side view of the lake. The check in lady was very friendly and welcoming and genuinely showed an interest in us and appreciated us choosing to stay with Ika Nui Taupo. Room and facilities were clean and tidy and the complex had lovely gardens which were well maintained. Ample parking ,the accommodation was easy to find and just across the road from the lake. Close to town and lakeside walking path was great.

The heat pump, outside unit attached to the wall was noisy and sounded like it had a fan issue. Only a double bed which was a bit small as I am tall. We will however return given positives outweigh any negatives.

It was close to town, Great kitchen if you are wanting to cook your meals. The shower pressure was amazing. The staff were really friendly. Would stay there again. The unit warmed up quickly with heat pump, heat went through the rooms so nice and warm.

Our couch in room 21, was a pull out sofa and the mattress was missing. So it was quite uncomfortable to sit on. But was easliy fixed by putting lots of cusions under the main seat cusions. (But talking to staff they were going to fix it.) Also the master bedroom Bathroom shower flooded the floor easily, needed a few towels as floor mats. Parking is a bit tight, but at least we had off road parking.

The review asks about breakfast but there was no breakfast included. However the studio contains a kitchenette which contains everything you need to be able to cook breakfast if you wanted to, or any meal for that fact. BUT, you are also in an excellent location - close by to a number of eateries (5 minutes walk at the most!) Overall, facilities are comfortable and reasonably clean. My stay was only for one night, as a solo traveler, but you could easily have a, small family stay here because there was a couch-bed in the apartment too - with a separate bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen/dining area. I would come back again - the location is excellent!

The bottom of the shower door needed a good clean. The towels looked old and wrinkled (well worn/used)

Handy and well equipped with good quality cooking utensils in a very convenient location just by Lake Taupo and within 5 minute stroll by the lakeside to restaurants and bars. Was thankful and impressed by Jess in reception for her pleasant welcome and very helpful customer service, in getting us an early checkin when the apartment became available during the time when reception was meant to be closed during her lunch time. She provided additional items such as washing powder for the dish washing machine with a smile. The air-conditioner worked well during the hot afternoons, and on-site car parking is ample.

Nothing of significance but it would nice to have a drying rack for the laundry.

No breakfast so no comment but the property was in a great location, towels and sheets spotlessley clean and bed comfy, the cups and glasses were great dishwasher a bonus if I had cooked etc....

I arrived with my luggage at 1.00pm, the reception was closed and a notice read open 8am -10am then 2pm -6pm, I had to go away, with luggage, and come back. The outside areas were tired and poorly maintained, the property is used by those travelling who probably don't need to sit outside the accommodation but it would have been nice to sit and enjoy a glass of wine or a coffee.

Location very good. Spacious unit with separate bedroom was good, and bathroom nice and spacious too.

The car park is very tight and difficult to manoeuvre around especially as it was full. I have mobility issues so was disappointed to find there was no mobility parking spaces nearer to the units. The unit was mainly clean but the bin in the kitchen area was full of Macdonalds rubbish from the previous occupants when we arrived, so the cleaners attention to detail was somewhat lacking.

We loved the location to everything as it was centrally based & handy to everything we needed with good parking.The room was warm ,clean and light was kindly put on for us with a later evening arrival which they made fairly easy & had fairly good clear communication prior. Reasonable parking.

The Kid's beds weren't put down or folded out on arrival,getting it out of the wall once we realized that's where the other bed was is fair to say was interesting, the fold out couch bed was thin,hard and you could feel the metal mesh through the mattress. The bed in the main bedroom was good 👍!!! The pool was okay....but it's in desperate need of a deep clean and thorough maintenance in the pool area....it looks tired,damaged and unkempt with holes in some of the walls,the floors,shower,spa looked awful grubby and needed a thorough clean.

The whole stay was amazing. Great location. Lock box instructions were very easy to follow and received shortly after we advised we would be there after 6pm. The room was exceptionally clean and well stocked in the kitchen. The heating on when we arrived so late, was a bonus. Sufficient amount of linen and bedding. Good tea and coffee facilities. Noise level zero. Heated towel rack was VERY handy. Well stocked bathroom products.

Parking was a little tricky but always available. No cleaning day to day, but it didn't matter. We found the bin to empty our own rubbish. - extra rubbish bags in the room would have been helpful though!

The location was absolutely brilliant. The room was immaculately clean. While the wi-fi could have been a little faster, the connection was strong and consistent, which is not as common in NZ hotels as you would hope. The room was well appointed. I can easily imagine a family having a brilliant time here. I would strongly suggest this property to anyone who asks.

The bed was a little firm for my taste, but that is definitely a matter of opinion. My in-laws would have loved it.
