Great location with only an easy and short stroll into town for the whole family. The room could do with a little bit of TLC but for an overnight stopover there was really nothing wrong with it. Check in was easy and the staff member on the counter was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had all that we needed for our stay. You get a nice little view from the second floor rooms and has the added bonus of a restaurant right next door so we didn’t have to go far for dinner.

The couch in the room we were in was right up against the bed and made the room a little bit crammed, could do without it in the room. As mentioned above, it could do with a little bit of TLC but it’s fine for a short stay and doesn’t impact my opinion of our stay negatively.

It was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great ,hot and powerful ,when you picked up your keys they gave you a small bottle of milk for a brew,nice touch! And it was quite at night even tho there's a pub next door

Didn't is too stronger word, but little improvements would be ,a couple of coasters wouldn't go amiss,I hate putting hot drinks on wooden surfaces ,the place was for one or two people,so you got 2 spoons, 2 knives,2 forks, 2 pans,it was a bit like living on noahs ark in that respect,but overall I have NO complaints

When we saw our room was right in the road front, we were worried about road noise however didn't hear a thing! Would definitely boom a roo. On the road frontage again as the views in the morning were awesome and the sunset amazing. Kitchenette enabled us to self cater - had groceries as were meant to be camping until 1 of us fell ill, however a few more utensils would have been awesome. Thankfully we had our own. Easy 1km meander to the town centre, taking in the waterfront along the way. Jolly Good Fellows onsite was a bonus to enjoy a quiet drink & snack while taking in the view,

Better ventilation in the bathroom as steam / water was running down the walls. The shower door didn't close properly , so the shower rose into the opposite corner so water didn't go all over the floor. Our kitchen backed onto the owners accommodation. A blind on our unit would have been good as when they turned their lights on, it lit up our room, waking us. Annoying was having cleaners in the room next door, "bright and early," waking us, so we opted to get up and packed. Rude was opening the door to be asked if they could do our check out clean - we hadn't even packed.

When I first stepped in the room, it smelled fresh and lovely. All bedding was crisp and clean. All towels were nicely presented. The utensils and cutlery were easy to find. The fridge was just the right size to hold drinks or food. My bed was very comfortable. There is also a restaurant within very close proximity so that you can dine or drink and don't have to drive home. The lake is right out the front , giving spectacular views not only of the lake but the mountains as well. All staff were very nice to talk to.. Check in was a very easy process. Will come back and stay here the next time I pass through Tauo.

Location is terrific. Leave the car there and walk to town easily. Our room was basic, but roomy/spacious. Really clean! Upon arrival, we were greeted by the woman with a beaming smile and wasn’t put out in the slightest by our request to check in an hour earlier as we’d come from out of town. She was an absolute delight to be greeted by. During our two night stay, another guest next to us had made contact with my vehicle! Extremely disappointing, but the lovely man working the reception was most helpful in assisting with insurance details if I needed them. He also allowed me to park in his own car park when two other guests had impinged from both sides so I could get my vehicle into my allocated park. Jolly Good Fellows bar/pub/restaurant next door was SO handy and made it the best choice for a meal on our first night so we didn’t need to find somewhere in town. Also good to have a few drinks and walk across the carpark back home! Really great place to stay! So happy with comfy bed and great air con and lovely pillows and friendly helpful staff!

- Described a fully equipped kitchen but there was no toaster? Not a big deal, but I’d specifically brought toast and bagels to have in the unit for our breakfast and then nothing to toast them in. - Car parking was extremely tight. Other than that, no problems; it really was a great stay.

Real close to town, I had an electric car and the chargers were handy as they were right around the corner, restaurants and bars are located just a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive away

Parking, parking was a nightmare as there’s almost no room for parking, I had my neighbour knock on my door if I could move my car forward so he could get in his vehicle, on returning he made his partner get out of the vehicle before entering the car park, both vehicles were tight on one side which still made it hard for anyone to get in and out of their vehicles.

Quiet, clean, comfortable, modern, great location, opposite lake and close to shops. It had a large smart TV and the bathroom had two doors which could be accessed from the lounge and bedroom. Very friendly and helpful staff.

We really loved staying here. There wasn't anything we didn't like but we have just one small suggestion - a powerpoint by the bedside table in lounge with a lamp would help. My friend had to open the curtain slightly so she could see her way to the bathroom at night.

I liked the whole layout of my room. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I liked that I could watch TV while lying in my bed and the free wifi was really good. This motel is ideally located next to a restaurant which serves awesome food. Just across the road in front of the motel is the lake which offers also spectacular views of the mountains at the southern end of the lake. It is also not far from the city center. The staff are very friendly.

Easy walk across the road for a swim in the lake. Heat pump/cooler to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. Really comfortable bed. Tiniest fridge but extremely quiet which is a bonus for light sleepers. A previous occupier seemed to have packed the bench top induction cooker to go so there was initially nothing to cook on. This was soon rectified by the office manager who immediately found a stovetop element I could use. The motel is right by what used to be the main road, but heavy traffic now mostly travels on the new back road so road noise wasn't a noticeable intrusion for me. Very pleasant service staff who diligently checked every day if I required clean towels, I stayed 4 nights.

I am not usually a fan of net curtains but given the full view to the road and pedestrian traffic, it have might have felt a bit more private having some. I did get used to the openness.

Room neeede a bit of TLC. Curtains were stained and the mini fridge was noisy and rusty and leaked a bit.
