We were upgraded to a family unit after the cooktop didn't heat up in previous unit.The family unit was spacious,clean ,comfortable with adequate facilities.The bed was lovely and comfortable with an electric blanket if needed,and good bedside lighting.Excellent lighting throughout apartment.The shower worked well and there was a spa bath available.The large TV provided plenty of channels and free netflex was available.Beautiful views of Lake Taupo and other activities can be viewed from the large windows in the lounge when seated at the table or on one of the couches.Kitchen facilities all worked well.Oven,microwave,coffee maker and necessary crockery etc in the spacious cupboards.Heatpump also in lounge.

Unfortuntely the cooktop didn't heat up when prepared to cook dinner.However the friendly office man supplied another lovely apartment immediately.

I arrived after hrs , they had a lockbox.simple,clear instructionsns helped alot in the dark

I requested some more time on departure due to my late-night and the manager was more than accomodating .nice to see his genuineness also. I also left a gold chain in the bathroom there worth several thousand dollars , left the motel for over an hour .when I went back it was waiting for me ..if this man wasn't the owner, he is a credit to himself and a vital asset to cherish .I was very impressed with his honesty

Really enjoyed our stay. Initially we were staying at another accommodation however due to its poor standard I decided to book elsewhere. Baycourt Motel was available and our stay was excellent. Check in process was easy - payment process was awesome (bank transfer was our option) Room was warm, clean, comfy & was overall a great atmosphere for my toddler. Also loved the heated floors. Definitely would stay again.

It was nice having a separate room from the bedroom, lounge/kitchen area with a TV & couch, good idea if one was wanting a rest in the bedroom therefore it left the other person to have space in the lounge to chill out without disturbing the other. Loved that for the unit.

The shower/spa bath leaked everytime you had a shower which caused a lot of water on the bathroom floor all the time. The bathroom right next to the bed. Don't like that idea.

The staff were lovely, welcoming and professional. We arrived late in the evening and they were so kind and helped familiarize us with the facilities etc. The room was tidy, quiet and had plenty of beds and spare blankets for us (2 adults). It wasn't the 'flashiest' place ive stayed at but definitely had everything we needed and was still nice! The bathroom was quite modern compared to the room itself. Almost like it was brand new and it even had underfloor heating! (bonus haha) Overall, would stay here again if needed. Happy with our stay ;D

The only thing I didn't like was...not being able to work the TV haha Its had some kind of 'app' to select a handful of things to watch...However, I do not know if there was an option to watch normal TV channels but this may just come down to my ignorance. This did NOT effect my overall stay at all but it would've been nice to have an easier experience with the TV handling ;D

A great option for a family or two couples - good size to accommodate us, including multiple sofas and a full size dining table. Great views.

We arrived on a very warm day to find the apartment windows closed, would have been nice to have it ventilated on arrival. There were lots of small flies over the kitchen ceiling and in one of the bedrooms at night - bug spray was available and used, which then meant lots of flues over the benches and bed

We liked that we were shown to our room with a very friendly host and the features explained ie TV with good viewing options, electric blankets. Two places to sit outside & enjoy the view. Comfortable bed. Really clean. Good off-street parking. Nice location. Great lighting which you don't often get in motel rooms anymore.

The bathroom might be one of the last ones to be renovated but the spa bath was so nice! Some softer pillows to match the comfortable bed would be great-I love soft pillows!

Great location. Very clean and tidy. Helpful staff. Well supplied with soap, shampoo, hairdryer (a very good one, without being attached to the wall!) Very little traffic noise Great pillows Great to have heated floor in bathroom, and heated towel rail.

Awkward to watch TV from sofa - wrong angle. Heat pump in bedroom did not send much heat to living area, and the heater provided there was a bit noisy. Bed not as comfortable as some we've slept on!

Lovely welcoming staff, gave good recommendation for dinner next door & local markets etc; easy parking. Bathroom looked very new & stylish.. enjoyed underfloor heating! Straight across from lakefront if we'd had more time to walk the beach.

Nothing major, but shower door didn't seal shut very well, so really soaked the bath mat. Had to manoever tv to watch comfortably from couch, but for price the limited lounge/diner space was fine, with all that was needed in there.

We liked the location of this property, could easily walk to restaurants and down to the lake front just over the road. We had stayed here before and would stay here again in the future . The kitchen was great for a motel unit and the shower was good, also a comfy bed.

The only thing not quite so good was the sofa in the lounge area was very uncomfortable, very soft and squishy, not too great for my back.
