Good facilities and easy walk to Taupo township. It’s over the road from the lake and a short walk to the marina or a swim in the lake. The hole in one golf challenge is directly across the road as well. Good parking and plenty of room to manoeuvre in the park area. The rooms are a good size, they don’t feel cramped and there was an actual kitchen. The room looked like it had been recently given a renovation and looked pretty good.

Most of the rooms look into the car park, only a few look over at the lake. For us the close proximity to the lake and town overcome this though

Great location in quiet lakefront position and just a short walk to the shops. Gorgeous view over the lake from our lake view room. Small well equipped kitchen which we didn’t use but dined out. Reception was very helpful and welcoming, able to give local info as required. All felt very new, well-maintained and clean. Parking place for all rooms.

Liked it all, except the lovely view is spoiled to some extent by the many flags advertising the hole in one challenge onto a platform in the water opposite in the lakeside.

close proximity (walking distance) to the city centre, shops, restaurants and most important is just a walk away to the beautiful lake. The room----absolutely clean!!! from beddings to towels, great amenities just like staying in a hotel. i will definitely stay again when in Taupo.

no lift available.....our room is on the second floor....i dont really mind as i can still climb stairs...i am just thinking of senior people but i guess you can always request room from ground level.

When measured against other motels, this one stood out for a fair price for a spacious room with a separate bedroom from the living area. It was nice to have a full-sized bathroom with both a bath and a shower unit. We found the place very clean and comfortable.

There was nothing we didn't like, but if I have to note something, I'd make the following suggestions: 1. painted lines for the carparks so more cars could fit in 2. replacement of the sofa-bed, as it was uncomfortable to sit on

Christine was very warm and graciously offered a ground floor unit when she saw our gray hair and large bsgs! The unit was a very pleasant combo kitchen/dinette with separate bedroom and en suite bath with a wonderful roomy shower. Her husband Dave offered us great advice concerning a tire which had gotten a flat. It was a lakeside unit so we were thankful to have 2 days to enjoy the view and short walk to Taupo eateries.

We were checked in by the owners and given some milk for a welcome coffee. Great sized room with a little kitchenette. A nice, somewhat-private outside space with chairs and a table. Jacuzzi spa and a big, modern bathroom. Comfy king sized bed. Amazing location for a great price - especially over NYE!!

Only one tiny niggle and I'm being super picky here coz it was great!! Would have loved some bedside lamps on the bedside tables or some lower lighting options.

The staff at reception were so wonderful, very kind and helpful to us. The room far exceeded our expectations with a newly renovated and luxurious bathroom. The bathroom amenities were also next level - we loved the honey scented products. Free convenient parking was a bonus. The location was the best with a big area outside for all guests to use with wonderful views and relaxing vibes. Loved this stay and wished we had stayed longer.

Everything exceeded our expectations.

The apartment was on the second floor and we had a fantastic view of the lake. The furnishings were in very good condition and the kitchen was equipped with the essentials. Everything was very clean, the beds were excellent and it was quiet at night. The only time it was a bit noisy (this happened rarely and then not for long) was when the Briscooes company next to the motel was loading or unloading material. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They brought us a large cooking pot that was missing. We were also able to do our laundry at no extra cost.

Can rate this place highly enough. We stayed in a Hotel in Wellington and Hamilton and in a motel in Te Kuiti and Rotorua and this was far superior to all across the board (Wellington very close on location). The room was lovely, the spa bath lovely and the location was superb and within walking distance to all the local eateries for which there was many, If I had my time over I would have stayed here for 5 nights and commuted to Waitomo and Hobbiton which are easy to day trips to manage.

Nothing - loved everything

Very pleasant place to stay within walking distance to restaurants and central shops. We were fortunate to have 2 upstairs rooms next to the outdoor dining tables at the front of the motel. Spectacular weather and clear views of the mountains, with outdoor meals were an unexpected bonus. Separate lounge and bedrooms were appreciated. All the staff we had contact with were excellent.

No breakfast is available, but there is good kitchen facilities if required, and there are nearby cafes. No specific car parks for each room may be an issue if the motel is fully booked, although we had no problem with parking.
