This is our second stay at Oasis and when we stay in Taupo it is where we come because of the value you get for the price. Yes the site is a tad dated but you get a very well sized for a motel 2 bedroom walk 5 steps out your door to the lake lakefront motel with aminikitchen amd lounge. Plus 2 onside spa pools and a thermal pool plus a tennis court and plenry of off road parking. Next at the Millennium has a wonder morning buffet, restaurant, coffee and grotto, another pool and gym that you can also use as they two properties are under the same ownership. For Taupo you cannot beat this for a family especially as it is 5 minutes to town, 2 minutes to De Brett's and 15 minutes to the huka falls attractions. The staff also are just amazing so wonderful to the guests.

Just that the shower didn't drink properly but we mentioned to the front desk on check out and they are getting maintenance to address this. A couple rhucker blankets for winter would be good but you can run thw heat pump which heats rhe whole unit very well.

It’s a family favourite. We love the location on the lake, and is so close to everything. The heated pool is amazing and we love how the rooms open out to access the pool area, which makes it great to watch the kids. Also, love that we can use the Millennium facilities aswell. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Will definitely come back again.

We have been coming to the Oasis for years. This time we noticed the room we were in seemed a bit tired and could do with a face lift. We understand this would take a lot to upgrade. It was however - very tidy and clean, warm and comfortable.

Good parking. Lovely heated pool. Comfy bed. Helpful staff.

The cleaning was very poor. The expel air in the bathroom was almost totally blocked with dust hasn't been cleaned in months. Very dated, wall paper missing in bathroom. Toilet roll holder loose and toilet roll could slide off. Unit only needed painting elsewhere would make a difference. Tops of power points were dusty. The milk carton in the fridge had been used and almost empty. The entire floor creaked. No electric blanket that we could find. Not already on the bed.

The heated pool was an absolute pleasure, the heat was great considering we went in the middle.of winter. We had 2 rooms viewing the courtyard and directly outside was the heated pool and spa. Great lake views and the staff at the Millennium Hotel werer amazing hosts.

One picture inside the Millennium Hotel was quite disturbing. I am Maori and seeing a maori with a tewha tewha holding onto an European man by the neck while sitting down was disturbing because that wasn't how that was. I'd like to see that gone...

The location was great, it was really clean & very comfortable. I didnt use it but theres a lovely warm outdoor pool in the cosy central courtyard. Meals are available at the adjoining hotel resturant, but too pricey for my budget. Great parking also. I loved my stay & would stay there again.

Tea & coffee tucked away in a dresser cupboard. There is a note on the dresser top but I didn't see it so I payed $6 for a cup of tea at the restaurant only to find the 'hidden' goodies afterwards. So this could be mentioned at check-in, or on the information sheet which is handed to guests at check-in.

Location - lake and town

The Oasis reception looked to be permanently closed so we had to go next door to the Millennium Hotel reception to check in. The key was a bit sticky in the door so had to go back to the next door Hotel to sort it. Decor in the rooms are outdated and had old school glass slates above the bedroom windows which left lots of little lake insects on the pillows. Rooms daily clean but stray hair in a couple of places. Reception staff at the Millennium were amazing and helpful. One of the cleaners at the Oasis decided to walk straight into us while checking out as the pathway was narrow and she wasn’t going to move…rude!

The buffet breakfast was amazing!! The breakfast hosts Manoj and Jaya were awesome!! Also the receptionist Filo was very welcoming and friendly and offered us a discount on the breakfast!! Barbara from Oasis was very helpful too!! :D

The Sauna wasn't working properly when we booked it. But we let reception know and the lovely lady Shrea said they would get maintanence to look into it, she was very helpful too as she put it on for us. We did love our soak in the heated pool though :D

Pool was great, location was superb room and beds were great. It's fantastic to be so close to the lake for a walk or run and the hot water beach was good. Proximity of everything like pool

Maybe an extra lounge chair there were four of us so we could not all fit watching TV playing board games etc on couch, Maybe some bigger bowls and a non stick frying pan these are just suggestions not complaints we survived.

Booked a two bedroom apartment with lake views. The room was a nice size & the view would have been nice if the weather was good. The heated pool would have been the highlight.

The pressure of the shower, was like being in a hurricane🤣, I tried to turn the pressure down but it would just turn off. it would be nice if you like super, high pressure😁

We love staying here, sure it's a bit dated but it's such a great location and the direct access to the lake (without having to cross any roads) is awesome. The kids especially love the big heated pool.

The spa pool isn't great, it's colder than the heated swimming pool. The whole place could do with a bit of a refresh ... although they'd probably charge more, so perhaps leave it as it is :-)
