My second visit to Sacred Waters and it did not disappoint. Bernie the manager was completely on point as the perfect host. We had a Taupo City water mains disruption and Bernie was on to managing this difficult situation. Parking was secure with lockup garage accessible by remote. EV charging facilities available. Each apartment has a private soaking pool fed by natural hot spring water that was not disrupted when City Council water is disrupted. The apartment is well appointed as expected. The central heating was a bit too toasty but with ventilation, it cooled down to a more pleasant temperature. Bedding and bathroom linens are excellent as are the beds. The kitchen is well equipped for longer term stays and serious cooking. F&P oven & hob works well for simple heating to serious cooking.

Little to not like about Sacred Waters. If anything it's quite pricey but for the quality of accommodation, one cannot expect rock bottom prices although the price point per person per night is still on the upper end of the scale.

We stayed in a 3-bedroom lakefront apartment at Sacred Waters Taupō, and it was absolutely stunning! Our family of six, including our 3-year-old, had the most incredible time. The apartment had everything we needed — beautifully furnished, spacious, and so well-equipped. Having our very own hot tub was such a luxury, and the large open yard was fully fenced and gated, which meant our little one could safely run around and play while we relaxed. The heated pool was another huge bonus, especially on the cooler days. Check-in and check-out were super easy, making the whole experience stress-free. Plus, the location is fantastic — close to great restaurants and activities, yet still peaceful and relaxing. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. We will definitely be back!

Sadly there was a horrible, extremely angry resident who proceeded to rant at us for parking outside whilst we received information as to where to park our cars. Maybe he should have purchased a property elsewhere where there weren't holiday guests checking in. The lovely lady on reception knew exactly who he was!!!. Totally unnecessary reaction, shouting at us. Lucky for him my husband and son in law are not reactive people. One day he might not confront such nice people. For information he drives a white SUV and parks in Bay C.

Loved the quieter location, on the lake with the with the warm "hot water beach" thermal water, with swans and bird life swimming by. The pool was beautiful and conveniently located to all apartments, the thermal hot tub on our deck was great. The apartment was very quiet; no road noise. Luxurious toweling robes, nice shower toiletries. The iron, washing machine / dryer a nice bonus. Staff were always helpful if you needed anything. Lakefront café for brunch a stones throw away. You'll probably want an Uber or car to get to the township...but that wasn't a problem. Very secure.

We had a 1 bedroom unit with a private courtyard and pool access. This was very spacious and well appointed in all respects. Having stayed in Taupo on many occasions over a fifty year period, this rates at the top by far for us. Easy access,secure basement parking,and a lift to all levels ticked all the boxes .The front desk could not have been more helpful, so in all an easy place to return in future. Our usual service could not accommodate us on this trip, lucky for us to find sacred waters ,and a cheaper tariff too!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sacred Waters. Our room was a great size, lots of space with a full kitchen. The bed was comfortable with lovely linens, good pillows and the towels were amazing and extra towels for the pool. It was bliss to swim in an outdoor heated pool that was actually properly heated! So relaxing to soak out there as well as having our own private hot tub with incredible natural hot water. Amazing location - slip out the back gate to walk along the lake front. We were in a road facing room but it was very quiet so traffic wasn't an issue. The underfloor heating kept us warm enough to only wear a t-shirt inside but this is self managing and can be set to whatever you want. Housekeeping available every day if you want it. Management was always available if needed and is doing a great job managing a lot of maintenance.

Yes, it's a little tired looking in places (as recent reviews note), the carpets need replacing and a bit of paint inside would go a long way. But, the new Manager, Bernie, is doing a great job working through maintenance and upkeep and making a difference to getting Sacred Waters back on track. Location, hot water and a comfortable place to stay negated those issues for us.

Everything was perfect the minute we got there the owners were really nice and welcoming. Best place to stay.

The view was phenomenal, could watch the sunset over the lake. The lap pool was amazing! A spa pool temperature with a great length pool. Was the highlight of our stay. Beds were comfortable and the living area tastefully decorated. Washer/drier was fabulous as we could catch up on washing while we enjoyed our stay. Nespresso for breakfast .. icing in the cake.

The apartment was so fabulous we didnt want to leave for dinner, so just uber eats for us! With a wine watching the sunset.

The property was our home - literally could live there! Watch out though it can be dangerous - you could just stay there & not explore beautiful Taupō. We had dinner at Sorrento and did the Huka Falls river cruise, both really good. Only 2 nights stay but amazing property.

We managed to lock ourselves out since there is a code for the door but after hours it is a key downstairs to the garage and there was no way to get back in and nobody to call. Luckily a fellow guest let us in. When we left the lady on reception just said goodbye, didn’t ask if we enjoyed our stay so I never mentioned the key. It was our fault but surely there is some contact number for after hours.
