Larger hotel than expected, small but comfortable room, we could see the lake across the other hotel buildings, excellent breakfast choice; gym available; extremely friendly staff, nice ambience, many comfy areas to sit, free bike rental, free car parking

asked for quiet room, but faced the noisy road, drain smell in bathroom and weak water pressure in shower; would not choose the restaurant on a busy day as food was cold and when lovely waitress brought a replacement dish this was cold too. It might be ok on other days.

I recently stayed at this excellent hotel and was thoroughly impressed by the breathtaking views from my room. An excellent hotel with great views, right next to the King's view! Really clean, tastefully decorated, and excellent value. The staff are superb, really helpful and engaging. My initial encounter with the woman from reception was particularly good - she was keen to show me the oldest room in the hotel, as the hotel is the oldest (or one of the oldest) in Norway. Room sizes are decent, and really quiet. Bathrooms are also excellent. I liked it so much I stayed an extra night! Loads of parking, and a petrol station and supermarket right next door. Lots of restaurants within easy reach by car should you not wish to dine there. Make sure you make time to walk up the Kings view - you won't regret it!

Surprised by the size over 200 rooms set around the 17th century old building as shown. Exceedingly modern but sympathetic to couples. Families well catered for in the modern dining area, we loved the breakfast in the historic part. Terrific gardens and walking areas. Super staff especially Alvide on reception. Great artwork too

Beautiful historical place, incredibly clean and pretty room. The whole building and interior is just stunning and food huge wooooow. We did tried delicious entrecôte in restaurant for dinner and ate one of the best breakfast ever 🧡 I can definitely recommend the place and got sure will come back in the future.

Despite the size of the hotel, it didn't feel huge. The room was modern and worked well. The ability to charge an electric car was good. Staff were very nice.

After a power cut, the wifi stopped working and no information was given about next course of action. The dinner options on Sunday night were a bit minimal. Ended up in an accessible room which was awkward because there was very little wardrobe space and no chest of drawers.

The breakfast had a wide selection, the grounds were nice to walk around, the rooms were large and the beds were comfortable.

Some of the hot breakfast entrées were lukewarm but they were feeding a large convention group there also who could show up at any intervals.

The atmosphere is lively, the decor and the ambiance are lovely. The room was spacious, clean, warm, well-lit, and well decorated. The location is beautiful, not terribly far from Oslo, and walking distance to a grocery store and a bus stop. There is a restaurant in the hotel. The included breakfast was one of the best catered meals I've ever had. The concierge was friendly

The lacation is really calm. This is good if you look for a rest. Breakfast was good. The room is really good. The facilities of the hotel are modern. They have a gym and a jacuzzi/pool available.

There is not much to say. The restaurant there is not so good, considering the price. But you don't need to have dinner there. The city itself doesn't offer many other options (restaurants) late at night, so this can be hard to solve.

Breakfast had many selections. Enjoyed dinner in the Anno 1648 restaurant which is in the original hotel building. The room was nice and clean with a shower that did not wet down the entire bathroom floor. We stayed here because it was only 1 1/4 hours to Oslo airport.

Long walk from parking lot to elevator. Hotel is very large and spread out. A bit confusing to figure out at the beginning. We knew it offered conference facilities but did not realize how large it was. As a tourist, I would not want to be there when it is busy. Fortunately, we were there on a Sunday night in September and it was very quiet with not many guests. Could use a luggage stand in the room.
