We had an amazing week staying at the Muthu Oura Praia Hotel in Albufeira. From the moment we arrived, the receptionists were so inviting, warm, and friendly—it really set the tone for our trip. The hotel itself is very well-maintained and in a perfect location, just a short walk from the beach and right near the Strip, with plenty of great food spots around. Ubers to the Old Town are also really cheap and easy to get. A very special thank you to the receptionists Carla and Daniello, who went above and beyond for us. One night, when one of our group needed medical help, Daniello was incredibly kind and attentive—he helped us stay calm and made sure we had what we needed , translated to medical staff , etc … The next morning, Carla was so reassuring and supportive, which meant more than she probably knows. We honestly can’t thank them enough for their compassion and help during such a situation. The rooms have everything you need, and the beds—especially the pillows—were super comfortable. The pool area is lovely and always really clean, perfect for relaxing during the day.

Just back from a 10 day break at this hotel and we found the experience fantastic . Due to my wife having a knee problem I had requested a room on the ground floor near the pool which we were given so it made the whole stay really easy and comfortable, so thank you . Staff really nice ,rooms lovely and spacious clean and laid out well. Pool area is great and proximity to everything is brilliant. We have stayed in this area of Albufera many times but this was out first stay at the Aura Praia and would definitely stay again. Well done to all the staff. John

Second year returning to the hotel. Hotel was clean, reception staff excellent, accommodated our early arrival with an early check-in. Room was clean and spacious and no noise could be heard, cleaned every day with fresh towels daily which we didn't expect but gladly welcomed. Location wise this is perfect if you want relaxed but the option of the strip, plenty of beaches and fab places to eat and drink around it and then 10min walk to the strip or less than 10mins in a taxi for the old town. Would recommend this hotel and would stay again

The staff was awesome, especially Carla at the reception. She goes above and beyond for the guests, always smiling, super friendly, and overall an amazing lady. The food was delicious! The rooms could use a bit of an upgrade, but overall, it was still nice. Definitely would return!!

The room had ants the first night we were there. The ac sucked at first, but after it running a couple of days the room got cooler!

Big hotel, close to the other MGM hotels. Normally we do not go to all in formulas, just rarely. Now we did for 6 nights. Nice buffet at lunch and breakfast. For diner we went to many different restaurants.

Our pass did not work on the shotcuts to MGM Club so we were stuck between the parrots and the road.. There were a lot of teenagers in the area (because its summer), so not so many children.

Good sized room and excellent kitchen facilities. Easy parking for our hire car. All inclusive food was very good. Ideally situated for the modern town strip. A 50 min walk to the old town, but well connected by bus, tourist train and cheap enough local taxi (+/ Uber available, eg 5 in a cab €8)

We stayed for a week, I would have liked a towel change and bathroom clean during that week. Maid service came in twice, but seemed to just empty bins and straighten bedding. As it was low season the all inclusive food was provided in another Muthu hotel, so every meal was a 7 min walk away. This other hotel had the only one bar providing the all inclusive drinks. (We were informed of this before booking, but it was a pain)

We have stayed here many times because the staff are friendly, welcoming polite and highly attentive. Nothing is too much trouble and they do all they can to make our stay perfect every time. The rooms are spacious, they are a bit dated decor wise, but are spotlessly clean and comfortable. The Aircon is good and the rooms have a large fridge, microwave and cooker. The public areas are spacious and cool and there are loads of seating areas around the foyer and the indoor fountain. The rooms have a free to use safe and ample shower gel/shampoo and loo roll are provided. The hotel has a beets reasonably priced supermarket right next door. Also a free parking area right outside. The hotel is at the top of a hill that you can walk down to the beach in about 10 minutes. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the strip. The hotel prices are very reasonable and with the great location, excellent staff and clean rooms it’s a perfect choice for us.

Rooms a bit dated (lots of brown wood) but still vert clean and fully equipped…some are being refurbished i believe.

Location is great, near bars, beaches and a moderate walk to the old town. There is a supermarket next door. The range of food on offer from both the sister restaurants we ate our meals at was great. Lots of variety to suit all tastes, different themes each night eg Italian, Mexican, Portuguese. Rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. The room had a kitchenette with fridge. We were given a complimentary bottle of wine on the day of arrival which was a nice touch.

This is a fantastic hotel. from the moment I arrived greeted by Bob and Natalia. Both were so friendly and helpful . Also I must mention Anderson and Camilo who are exceptional staff members who go out of their way to ensure customers are looked after in every way. I was offered a free upgrade and also there was a bottle of wine in the room/ The staff exceeded expectations at all levels. Well done Sid on hiring great staff . Good staff make the hotel

I loved the location, we were really close to the party life but also the chill beach and less than an hour walk to the old town. The pool was great, big and spacious but maybe some more pool loungers as it got very crowded.

The drunk men at the pool every day were very intimidating and ruined the pool experience, they would come up to us and not leave when asked, however when they were not there it was great. The wifi could be improved as it was a very stable connection.
