We were staying here when the big blackout of Portugal and Spain hit. The staff was really nice, very professional and attentive of guests' concerns. We were walking around the city the whole day, and upon arrival, they had prepared water, fruits and cakes for the guests (all grocery stores and restaurants were closed due to the power outage). The beautiful outside patio was a blessing to spend the last hours of light relaxing and enjoying the fresh air. Location is great, easy to reach from the train station or the airport, plenty of public transport options to get to every iconic place in Lisbon. Breakfast offers everything, for different tastes.

Nothing, everything was really good.

Good location: A bit calmer than right in the city. Nearish the metro, but the (affordable) taxi rank right nearby! Lovely market hall and grocery stores nearby as well as a wee park where we got very decent burgers! Our hotel room was huge with a balcony, and a separate seating area which was nice.

Wish the bathroom would be a bit more private /with a proper door.. also after being away and arriving to the room, a bit stale/musky smell... had to keep balcony doors open to get some fresh air into the room.

The receptionist Sun went out of her way to help us with planning our travel and ensure our satisfaction during our stay. Good breakfast that included a choice of items cooked to perfection, (ours was Veggie omelet), good cappucino coffee and popcorn available all day. The entire staff was friendly. The room was clean and the shower was as hot as you desired. The nearby restaurant recommended by the manager was the greatest value of any upscale restaurant I have eaten at this decade. Staff was available 24/7.

Location of Hotel was very convenient with a 20 minutes' walk to Arroios Metro Station entrance. The Breakfast area is pleasant, well lit and very clean. Breakfast was good, abundant and nutritionally balanced. Coffee, fruit drinks, and water available 24hrs on 24hrs was very convenient, as well as was the fruit. The room was well lit and nicely decorated with relaxing colors and materials for curtain and bed. Linen and pillows were clean and comfortable. Reception staff was friendly and helpful as was the breakfast personnel. We felt at home at Mar De Ar Auria. Highly recommended.

There were limitations of passage area and legroom between bed and wall on the front.

The room was fantastic. So much space and a brilliant balcony. Shower pressure was ideal for freshening up morning or night. Having coffee and tea available, with the added popcorn machine - you have more than enough to enjoy an evening in if the weather is not great. The staff were so accommodating and the breakfast was delicious. Value for money is an understatement.

Cannot fault it at all, best place i’ve stayed using booking in a while.

We really enjoyed the stay at the hotel. The breakfast was delicious, loved every bit of it. A lot of options also for vegetarians. The room was clean and the staff was friendly.

The only flaw was the sound isolation. A lot of noise coming from the street outside. We got up at 7 a.m. every morning and it didn’t bother us, but if you want to sleep a little bit longer then maybe it could bother you.

This place to stay is very nice, the staff were polite and helpful, the hotel is very clean and the smell of the hallway is attractive, I really loved it, I thank the receptionist Patricice and also the employee ANA LIMA and all the staff in the hotel, the breakfast was very good

There was no fridge or coffee making facilities and the room was rather cramped.

Comfortable bed - double was a proper double mattress, not two singles pushed together. Aircon works well and isn’t too noisy. Shower pressure is strong. USB C and A direct charging points next to bed. Gym is new, well maintained and well stocked with equipment, towels, filtered water, aircon. Staff are amazing - super friendly and professional. Breakfast buffet has a good range of food. Coffee is decent. Free popcorn and daily fruit at entry of property - generous.

Can hear other occupants from above (voices, dragging chairs across floor) but that can’t really be helped. Bring earplugs if this bothers you.

Good clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, good location, very nice breakfast and outdoor lounge.

Dreadful smell comes up from the drains which they try to mask with air freshener pumping through the hotel.
