From Lisbon airport to hotel Do Chile via Metro is the cheapest option (Dec2023 - I bought the Metro Card (0.50 euro) and added 2 credits (1.65 euro each) this card be used on Metro,Bus and Tram - regardless how far you go on Metro cost is just one credit 1.65euro). Catch Metro to ALAMEDA station then change over and get to ANJOS station (green line) exit from ANJOS station and walk 10minutes to Hotel do Chile (A taxi costs approx 25Euro and taxi drivers wanted cash - seems like very few have a card machine in the Taxi). Hope the attached Metro Map will help you. I later paid for more credits onto the same card and used it on Trams and Buses for sight seeing - from ANJOS go to to station CAIS Do SODRE puts you right in city centre close to the water front. If you decide to walk from Hotel it takes about 30 minutes to city centre. BREAKFAST was 7am to 11am and they serve hot eggs/sasuages toast as well as cereals/yogurts/fruit with machine making excellent coffee/chocolate etc hot drinks. ROOM was very clean and has electric air heater with temperature control.

Wifi is weak up on 6th floor (signal kept dropping out) but you can always go and sit on the chairs downstairs on ground floor reception where signal was better. There is electric kettle in room - makes a very loud noise when you push the lever on top to get hot water (this is minor point)

The breakfast was simple, but met our expectations. You can not expect freshly baked croissants every morning at any hotel, even if awarded more stars than this one. The room service was very good and always cleaned our room perfectly, even if we liked to leave late in the morning/early day.

We would have preferred regular duvets for the bedding, rather than these sheets. This works for a day or two when fresh, but after that they get tangled up and you end up waking up on the top of the (almost clean) sheet and under the blanket, which is washed less often than the rest of the bedding. The Hotel needs to clarify what is a "balcony", which we booked. A narrow strip outside the room, just enough to stand there but not enough to put a chair is just that.

The room was clean, the staff were pleasant, the breakfast was very good and the location was a five minute walk to the metro, grocery stores, shops and everything we needed.

The only problem was on the first day the front desk person forgot to tell housekeeping that our shower wasn't draining and needed to be fixed or it would flood the suite. We complained to another front desk person who upgraded our room.

The location is excellent - very close to the metro and the city center, but also quiet since it´s located just behind the long and always busy Av. Almirante Reis. Friendly and helpful staff. 2 elevators that work well. Great blackout curtains assure no sunlight enters room in the early morning. Clean linen and towels and comfortable mattress (very important). Spacious closet to put clothes and baggage, plus a safe if required. A very reasonable breakfast included. Overall, great value for the money.

Big disadvantage are all rooms being fully carpeted (can be an issue for those with allergies), electrical sockets poorly distributed (not a single electrical socket near the beds), altough bathtub is good, it may not be suitable for those with conditioned mobility, breakfast could be a bit better (no fresh cheese and not much variety (especially bread), Also breakfast room a bit tight. It was a pleasant experience (no complaints), but based on my extensive knowledge of Lisbon hotels, for 5 euros more there are considerably better alternatives out there (and very nearby).

The breakfast was perfectly suited to any taste, freshly baked croissants, different fruit and differents cakes every day, cheese, ham, yogurt, juice, decent coffee. Couldn't ask for more. The room is a bit cramped, but squeaky clean and with well maintained furniture, though a bit dated. The location is excellent, close to bus stops and to many restaurants. There is a pub right next to the hotel that is open until late and a cafe on the corner.

The carpet on the floor could be replaced with some tiles and there was a weird smell from the drains. However, it wasn't so bad, just showed the hotel is a bit old.

This hotel came as nice surprise, with a very decent discount that made the choice easy. The room was well kept, clean, spacious enough, and the bed very confortable. We also had a balcony, however with no street view (first floor, nothing to complain about). AC was very good and really needed as during our stay, the temperatures during the day were close to 40ºC. There was a mini-fridge, also useful to keep some liquids fresh. Breakfast was ok, there was some variety and everything quite fresh. People were nice, check-in and check-out were super fast and easy. Metro station just 250 meters away on foot, very practical. It was also quiet during the night, no noise from outside. Overall, a very good spot in central Lisbon and the price-quality ratio couldn't be better.

The room was clean.Heating by AC was excellent.Bathroom was of middle size with a bath.Mattresses were very good.Bed were big.Stuff was helpful and responsive.Breakfast was good,above our expectations: juice two types,many coffee,tea,milk options from machine,omelette,ham and cheese,jam,butter,two types of cakes,apples and oranges,muesli,We could leave luggage after check out.Area was ok and safe.Nearby metro.Five minutes to Lidl market with microwave where you can seat and eat.Fourty minutes of walk to the center of Lisboa. Fridge and TV( good choice of channels)in the room.Coffe maker.The price was very reasonable for Lisboa.24 hour reception .We'd come again.

It is a very good two star hotel ,not three stars as it is declared.Rooms are small for a three stars hotel. Breakfast is the same every day( except cakes).We stayed two weeks.If you walk to the center area around the park it is not so pleasant,but we didn't have any troubles.Room window looks nowhere,but no noise from the street as a result.Sound isolation is not excellent,but the other guests were peaceful so we didn't feel uncomfortable .No desk and no armchair or sofa.Only one chair in the room .It is ok if you are out all day as we were It would be nice to have free coffee or tea in the room nearby a coffee maker.Change of hand soap should be everyday.

Great location: 30min walking from main attractions in city center or Metro station 2min from the hotel. Easy to reach airport with Metro. A lot of very good international restaurants next to the hotel. Very nice room, quiet, with a small balcony, very comfortable beds, and cleaned everyday. TV and free Wi-Fi good. Good Breakfast buffet (similar things everyday but not a problem for us)

The breakfast room is a bit small so may have to wait a couple of minutes to get a table. Had an issue with the toilet water which was fixed quickly the next day.

Nice location between airport and city centre. Cozy room, warm shower. Great place to stay when visiting the city as it's easily connected both by foot and by metro/bus.

It just felt like the hotel was actively cutting costs by eliminating even the smallest amenities (eg coffee/tea in room). It was great to have the breakfast, however you could tell the hotel specifically chose the cheapest possible items to offer on the buffet (boiled hotdogs for breakfast???). Fortunately there was the coffee machine and some croissants on the buffet as well.

Location and Balcony

There was a funky smell coming from the carpet, noticeable as soon as you entered the room. It’s a typical odor in Portugal, often found in buildings with poor ventilation. There was also mold in the bathroom, and the ventilation system was not functioning. Additionally, there were no tea or coffee options provided in the room, and breakfast lacked any vegetables. The coffee machine only made instant coffee, which was disappointing.
