The breakfast is delightful. Really really good location! The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen faculties are great, providing a stove, fridge and microwave.

I only had issues with the bathrooms in the hostel, not huge problems but just things the hostel needs to think about. - There were not enough toilets/bathrooms each level, only 2 per level which for the amount of people in each level is not enough. - One of the showers was under maintenance so there was only one shower on my level. Not their fault but it’s inconvenient. - The lock on the bathroom door on the 1st floor needs fixing because it’s very hard to actually lock. - There is a huge mould problem in one of the bathrooms - like black and white mould. It’s needs fixing ASAP! - They didn’t provide towels to dry your hands in the bathroom. Not a huge deal but it’s a simple thing to change.

This is the best financial deal for the location by far. I am a solo traveler and it was clear that other sleeping options in that area (great area!) were far more expensive. The self check in is easy and the bathroom was always free when I need it. It's bright, airy, sunny, and freshly painted. If you are a low-maintenance traveler, this is a great choice. It feels safe (I'm a solo female traveler) and it's a great deal.

I would definitely recommend paying a bit more and getting a double bed. I peeked into some of those rooms and they were much larger and prettier. My single room was exceptionally small and it was tucked right up to the area where the daily workman cleaned his brushes (lot's of painging going on!) and did other chores. Trying to take a nap in that room in the middle of the day was challenging because of the noise of him working (litrally sounded like he was 2 inches from me--which I guess he was. lol). I am not complaing about him at all, but just letting travelers know to choose a larger room and avoid getting placed right next to the work station. Also, there was a strong chemical smell (I think of paint) on several days (not in my room, but in the hallway and bathroom).

This is a great hotel in the heart of Lisbon. The room I had was light, super clean, simple, yet stylish. The bed was very comfortable, and I had two kinds of pillows to choose from. There was a desk in the room, which was important as I had to work during my stay, and the wi-fi was fast enough to support video calls. I had a shared bathroom, and it was as clean as in a 5-star hotel. I loved the location as well, as it was a walking distance of many nice cafes, restaurants, bars, and sightseeing points. Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a stay in Lisbon, and will definitely come back here myself.

It was noisy at night as the hotel is located at the bar street, but I was usually so tired after a day of walking that slept through it no problem )

Staff are very nice and friendly.they are very helpful in providing tips touring the city. Room was clean and rest room is very clean and accessible anytime. They also had a kitchen and fridge if you need it.

It was a bit loud at night as people or tourists stay up and drink till 2 or 3 am in the morning. So, it was a bit of a challenge. The hostel gave us ear buds to block out the noise at night. Overall, it's a challenge to find a place that is in the heart of the city but quiet. So, understand it is difficult to get both. Maybe stay on higher floors (3rd or 4th etc) would be better.

Very nice, bright and spacious. Very comfortable bed and the ceiling fan is very powerful but quiet. It is located on a busy street but the windows insulate the noise. In the collective kitchen there are many cooking utensils and an automatic machine for making several types of coffee.

This is not up to you but unfortunately the other guests were very noisy. As it is a shared structure with a wooden floor and normal room doors, you can feel all the noise inside the room. The light from the corridor is also filtering in. It was difficult to rest.

- the stairs - it was an old building with a lot of stairs. My room was on the 4th floor, so it was a bit hard to reach upstairs with a big heavy bag. - the room could have been a bit cleaner. Also, there were loads of bathrooms on each floor which was a big advantage; however, some were not quite clean! - the breakfast is nice; however, if you arrive late, there won't be much left to eat. There was some bread and jam on the table without any refills

Excellent value for money, so comfortable and I loved the location. Staff were lovely. There was breakfast but I never had it. The room was spacious and clean. If you are ok with just a room, a shared bathroom, and shared kitchen I'd defo recommend

A few reviews speak to the noise, but I mean it's a lovely old building, creaky floors, windows straight on to the street what do you expect. The buzzer door bell was active during the day, so people have gotta come in I didn't like the lack of fan in the bathrooms, but they were in good condition

Nice breakfast, helpful staff, Good location. Basic clean hostel accommodation with reception on the first floor, of an old building, in a cobbled street. But this was clear when booked so no problem.

If you have a wheeled suitcase, this is a very cobbled street, this is a street party area of town so if you have a street facing room, you need to keep the window closed (fan, not aircon) or have your earplugs handy.

Stayed 4 nights m7ddle of april, got the single room at the end of floor directly under the roof and right beside the bathroom (no. 4). Really small room, but kind of cosy, liked it. Some noise in the evening/ nights and smell from the restaurants. But that was expectable when booking that barrio and therefor totally fine for me. Bathroom clean (and good functioning :-). Breakfast differs: boys make good portions, girl quite small ones. But everybody with lovely commitment. Also liked the all-day usable coffee-automat in the kitchen ... for free ;-).

One could think of changing the time of cleaning the bathrooms: 8 in the morning? Really? Peolpe who want to sleep longer become awake and then cannot use the bathroom because the cleaner is doing a quite careful job

Great location, decent price and convenient check in. Despite being neighbors to loud street with a lot of parties, the noise was kept outside by the windows.

Walls in this apartment are quite thin, we could hear people passing the corridor during the night. The room door only locks when you put your card FROM THE OUTSIDE - just closing them is not enough. This information wasn't given to us, I believe it should be part of the basic info.
