Absolutely loved the hotel! The location is perfect, very close to everything. The sound proofing of the windows is great, there is no noise coming in from the street at night. We didn't hear any noise from the other rooms either. The room was super clean and they were cleaning and changing the towels daily. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The mattress was very comfortable! One of the best mattresses in a hotel. I absolutely recommend it!

We chose the top floor so the trade off is that the shower is quite low. But it is totally worth it for that view! :)

Boutique hotel in an historic building. Reasonably close to local shops, bars, restaurants and other amenities and 10-15 minutes walk to many more. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the property spotlessly clean and comfortable, and rooms are air conditioned. Despite modern facilities it retains its character and charm, which make for an enjoyable stay.

Nothing; some visitors may not like the lack of a lift, with some rooms being five floors up. But staff are available and willing to move luggage as necessary. The owners are seeking permission for a lift, and a breakfast room is nearly ready to open.

I thought the location was great and the actual bedroom was good. The daily cleaning and friendly staff were great. The A/C worked great, the bed was comfortable, and the shower and water temperature were great.

Overall, the building seemed to be very old, but the room was redone. There was no elevator and the stairway to get up to the room was a bit musty and at times smelled a little weird. The staff helped us carry our bags up so I can't complain about not having an elevator and I didn't really care about the stairwell because the room was the only thing we really cared about. The TV didn't really work well but I didn't want to watch much TV, so I didn't mind.

An historic building in a great location in a convenient, centrally-located, lively and lovely neighborhood. Our room had a great view from the small balcony. That said,

We were told that the building had no elevator; we mentioned we were traveling for 10 weeks and had heavy bags, would like a nice room with balcony. We arrived in the evening and were given a room on the 6th floor. So we had to drag our heavy bags up 6 flights, and then again down when we left. Not fun. Our room was essentially a chambre de bonne, cute but smallish, with irregular ceilings. No closet, no where to hang clothes. We barely stand up in the bathroom with the slanted ceiling (I stored my bags in there), and had to be extremely careful when getting off the toilet (!!!) Neither of us could stand up straight in the shower.

In the heart of the historic district and close to all of the the cathedrals, castles, museums and other cultural points of interest. Almost everything is within walking distance which is how we like to travel. When needed Uber rides were available to take us there. You do not want to drive in Lisbon! The hotel is historic and quaint, yet has modern updates. It is clean and very quiet in a city that is raucous and loud at times to early morning.

Our only negative thought was the room is very small and had no place to sit side inside, tough the balcony did help in that respect. The photos Chiado 44 provide are honest so look carefully at them.

Nice location. Easy luggage deposit before and after the check-in. Room is lovely and the small balcony seaview it's a plus. Our TV channels wasn't working properly, however we were not there to whatch the tv and we didn't mind. Great welcoming bottle of water and fresh tea and coffee every morning, as well as the cleaning service and a robe available. Fantastic. Little minibar available in the room. Bathroom is good however half of it isn't really accessible due to the law roof, not a problem for a couple of days but for some tall people might be uncomfortable. There isn't wardrobe only a drawer, we suggest to put some hangers in the room for the jackets/clothes

Our room was amazing , our bed was very big and comfortable and the room was cleaned and organised daily . It was very spacious and had very nice big windows so the sun would shine through pretty much all day . The bathroom was great aswell , once again very spacious and had a very modern feel in terms of cleanliness. We were also greeted in our room with a nice letter from one of the staff and every day we were left a huge bottle of filtered water to drink . It is also in a great location as we were able to walk everywhere and see all the sights. You also feel very safe as you have 2 big doors with 2 separate security codes just to get into your room , not to mention another code just to get into the building . Every staff member was very polite and helpful with our questions, and they also give very good restaurant recommendations. I definitely recommend this hotel , it was a lovely stay .

This was our first night in Portugal, and it was a great start to our trip. The hotel was easy to get to using public transportation from the airport. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.

One night at about 4:00 A.M. we were woken by loud noises from the room above us, loud voices and sounds as though people were moving large furniture. This went on for over 30 minutes, at which point I went down to the front desk. No one was at the desk but a phone number had been left and when I texted that number, I did get an immediate response and the noise above ceased. The problem was taken care of but no explanation given.

This would have to be the best location in the densely packed central city of Lisbon to stay. A short walk to the metro and to stations that take you to Sintra and Cascais and the tram to Belem and the famous 28 tram is around the corner. There is also a supermarket around the corner. There are fabulous bars and eateries within walking distance and just up the hill we found a small public park with great views over Lisbon’s river and bridges great to watch the sunset. Our room 204 was the quietest room in a month of travel and more than met our needs. The bed was comfortable and water hot and strong. The staff were delightful and helpful (thanks Isabella) and your lovely young staff all fluent in English and more than happy to help. We will not hesitate to recommend this to our family and friends and it offered great value to a beleaguered Aussie dollar which is almost halved by the stronger Euro.
