We stayed in the room Rosa 4 and it was fantastic. My husband is a light sleeper, so I was concerned about reviews saying that there was a lot of kitchen noise. He did hear a bit of noise in the evening but not it wasn't bad enough to cause a loss of sleep and it was over by 11:00 PM. The room was large and tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was big. The location is absolutely perfect. The breakfast was the best we had on our trip by far. The common areas were a great place to sit and have a glass of wine at the end of the day. Check in is at their sister property about a block away. We went to a lovely dinner with Fado music at the sister property and it was a great time. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly...Like above and beyond. I left my e-reader when we left. I sent them money for postage and they sent it to my home in the US. I would definitely at the Cashina de Flores again and highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic stay here, the building is so beautiful and the communal seating areas are so relaxing. The atmosphere at breakfast is incredible, especially with the live piano playing and the choice of food was lovely as well. Loved that there was a floral scent throughout the whole building. The staff were incredibly friendly. Free wine in the communal kitchen, along with fruit. Loved having a bottle of water left in the room each day.

My only downside was my room faced the street which was a busy area and tended to be quite loud until around 12:30 but this was mostly fixed with a good pair of earplugs! Also, the shower in my room was very difficult to figure out (maybe a little leaflet explaining how to use it in the room would be helpful)

This is a beautiful property. We were welcomed by eager and friendly staff at the reception center, who brought our luggage to our room at Casinha das Flores around the block. The facility is very professionally run, and there is generosity in everything that is provided. The building and room decor are especially lovely—it is in an elegant older building. The room was very clean, well-appointed, and extremely comfortable, especially with a balcony on which we could open the doors to get fresh air. It was surprisingly quiet for an urban location. Breakfast is generous and delicious. And you can't beat the location!

These are really picky things, but part of our experience: All rooms are upstairs, so you need to be able to navigate them. Staff took care of the luggage or it would have been a burden. The breakfast is on the second floor and dispersed throughout several rooms so you need to hunt down what you want. And our junior suite was smaller than we expected, but it was fine for our purposes.

We had an exceptional time at Casinha das Flores and we would be happy to return. The location is perfect: 3 minutes by foot to Baixa/Chiado Metro station, and 5 minutes by foot down to the waterfront or Pink Street. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars around. Breakfast is indeed out of this world: a wide selection and how tasty everything was. The place itself is not too big, lending a homey feeling. It is so carefully decorated - evey corner has a new surprise. Staff is very welcoming. Our room was spacious with plenty of storage space, bathroom is modern and clean with excellent warm water at all times.

These are not so much things that we did not like, but rather things for future guests to be aware of: The place has no elevator. Rooms are at the 1st floor so you would have to carry your luggage 1 floor up. The reception is not at the hotel itself but at a sister-hotel around the corner - 2 minutes by foot.

The hotel is beautiful. Each area is wonderfully decorated. I had stayed here earlier and re- booked. My room was great. They had wine which you could help yourself to around 5ish. Only thing is check in was at their sister hotel just around the corner. I didnt read my email the first time around. The other hotel is just as lovely. Breakfast was plentiful. They have someone playing the piano in the lobby at breakfast which is a lively touch. The hotel is central with the metro nearby, easy to get from the airport and to travel to other areas. Tram 28e starts from here and many areas were walking distance. All the staff are amazing. All were pleasant and very helpful and always smiling. Thank you all.

Quirky hotel with stunning varied decor, a pleasant change compared to chain hotels. Good choice of breakfast items plus a bod playing the piano. No bar or restaurant on site but a lounge on the top floor with free wine and fruit. Pleasant outside patio with flowering plants. Centrally located for touristy activities, bars and restaurants. The staff were very helpful.

We booked a junior suite for 4 nights, however the room was tiny with no chest of drawers and a tiny cupboard. Hardly a suite ! Bathroom was fine. We complained and to their credit we were relocated to a sister hotel around the corner with larger rooms.

The hotel is located very close to places of interest and transport links. Inside the hotel itself there are lots of traditional portuguese features which make it very attractive. In the mornings the breakfast buffet was very generous and varied, with the lovely touch of a pianist playing the grand piano nearby. Without exception the whole staff were all extremely welcoming and helpful during our stay.

This seems a little picky, but a shelf in the ensuite would have been useful and the bottles in the shower were positioned a little too low in their holders to press down and use easily, so you had to lift them up to use.

So many beautifully designed, creative rooms, incredible breakfast accompanied by a very good pianist! My room was nice, but small. The TV wasn't working and the shower was a bit odd but comfortable bed and nice that there was coffee, tea etc. The balcony was nice but lined up next to other balconies so no privacy and I could smell my neighbor smoking. Overall, Felt at home and enjoyed it a lot. Great location as well. I felt a bit intimidated by the fanciness of it though, didn't need everyone around me in suits while I wore water resistant clothing. :D

The breakfast and the friendliness/helpfulness of the staff was outstanding. The location was also ideal as a tourist. Very unique and beautiful hotel with wonderful common areas.

Unfortunately, the walls between rooms and floors appear to be paper-thin in terms of sound insulation. We could hear the music and the strong beating of the bass played non-stop in the common room above us (2nd floor) and also the talking of our neighbors (even if they were not shouting) as if they were in the same room with us. This was disturbing when stretched to 3am during one of the nights. The mattress caused some back-ache for both me and my son after two nights. We stayed in the room Alecrim 3 on the first floor.

This was seriously one of the best city hotels I have ever stayed in. Everything about it was exceptional. They have created the most beautiful hotel from an old traditional apartment. Every room was gorgeous and the attention to detail was fabulous. We checked in at their sister hotel round the corner where we were greeted with pastel de natas and some Ginjinha, the local cherry liqueur. The staff were so welcoming. Breakfast was divine with not 1 but 3 rooms of food - pastries, cereals, juice, an abundance of fruit, eggs, mushrooms, cheeses, coffee etc. Seriously the best breakfast ever which we then ate out on the lovely terrace. Can't wait to come back and stay here again!!
