Absolutely fantastic stay here, the building is so beautiful and the communal seating areas are so relaxing. The atmosphere at breakfast is incredible, especially with the live piano playing and the choice of food was lovely as well. Loved that there was a floral scent throughout the whole building. The staff were incredibly friendly. Free wine in the communal kitchen, along with fruit. Loved having a bottle of water left in the room each day.

My only downside was my room faced the street which was a busy area and tended to be quite loud until around 12:30 but this was mostly fixed with a good pair of earplugs! Also, the shower in my room was very difficult to figure out (maybe a little leaflet explaining how to use it in the room would be helpful)

This is a beautiful property. We were welcomed by eager and friendly staff at the reception center, who brought our luggage to our room at Casinha das Flores around the block. The facility is very professionally run, and there is generosity in everything that is provided. The building and room decor are especially lovely—it is in an elegant older building. The room was very clean, well-appointed, and extremely comfortable, especially with a balcony on which we could open the doors to get fresh air. It was surprisingly quiet for an urban location. Breakfast is generous and delicious. And you can't beat the location!

These are really picky things, but part of our experience: All rooms are upstairs, so you need to be able to navigate them. Staff took care of the luggage or it would have been a burden. The breakfast is on the second floor and dispersed throughout several rooms so you need to hunt down what you want. And our junior suite was smaller than we expected, but it was fine for our purposes.

We had an exceptional time at Casinha das Flores and we would be happy to return. The location is perfect: 3 minutes by foot to Baixa/Chiado Metro station, and 5 minutes by foot down to the waterfront or Pink Street. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars around. Breakfast is indeed out of this world: a wide selection and how tasty everything was. The place itself is not too big, lending a homey feeling. It is so carefully decorated - evey corner has a new surprise. Staff is very welcoming. Our room was spacious with plenty of storage space, bathroom is modern and clean with excellent warm water at all times.

These are not so much things that we did not like, but rather things for future guests to be aware of: The place has no elevator. Rooms are at the 1st floor so you would have to carry your luggage 1 floor up. The reception is not at the hotel itself but at a sister-hotel around the corner - 2 minutes by foot.

The hotel is beautiful. Each area is wonderfully decorated. I had stayed here earlier and re- booked. My room was great. They had wine which you could help yourself to around 5ish. Only thing is check in was at their sister hotel just around the corner. I didnt read my email the first time around. The other hotel is just as lovely. Breakfast was plentiful. They have someone playing the piano in the lobby at breakfast which is a lively touch. The hotel is central with the metro nearby, easy to get from the airport and to travel to other areas. Tram 28e starts from here and many areas were walking distance. All the staff are amazing. All were pleasant and very helpful and always smiling. Thank you all.

So many beautifully designed, creative rooms, incredible breakfast accompanied by a very good pianist! My room was nice, but small. The TV wasn't working and the shower was a bit odd but comfortable bed and nice that there was coffee, tea etc. The balcony was nice but lined up next to other balconies so no privacy and I could smell my neighbor smoking. Overall, Felt at home and enjoyed it a lot. Great location as well. I felt a bit intimidated by the fanciness of it though, didn't need everyone around me in suits while I wore water resistant clothing. :D

The breakfast and the friendliness/helpfulness of the staff was outstanding. The location was also ideal as a tourist. Very unique and beautiful hotel with wonderful common areas.

Unfortunately, the walls between rooms and floors appear to be paper-thin in terms of sound insulation. We could hear the music and the strong beating of the bass played non-stop in the common room above us (2nd floor) and also the talking of our neighbors (even if they were not shouting) as if they were in the same room with us. This was disturbing when stretched to 3am during one of the nights. The mattress caused some back-ache for both me and my son after two nights. We stayed in the room Alecrim 3 on the first floor.

Decorations were stunning. Breakfast was amazing. Place was so cute. Loved the wine welcome drugs j we enjoyed sitting in the beautiful living room. Central location. I don’t know why others weee complaining- yes you walk up some stairs- great it’s good exercise use. Yes the shower is small- so what. Yes you get self serve coffee- so what. It’s a beauty machine with many choices and delicious coffee. The breakfast is spectacular and similar to the one at the sister property- the Palace we stayed at previously yet much cheaper. So people should love it!

This place is unique, a timeless beauty, a hidden gem in the heart of Lisbon! It invites you to discover every single room, corner and to make areal trip to the time, an immersion in the Portuguese culture, gastronomy and music. The breakfast was hearty and very varied: fresh fruits, juices, breads, etc. We loved the homemade tee and the coffee. Everyday we've got mineral water, coffee for the coffee machine into the room. A real pleasure! We loved the most the kindness and the smiles of all the people working their. And a big surprise: every morning at breakfast time a pianist came to play the piano! Thank you to all! It was our second stay and we will be back for sure! Obrigada!

Loved everything about this cozy, warm and beautiful old building - nooks and crannies galore to sit, read or unwind. Thought and details have been put into every aspect of this hotel and the staff truly wants you to enjoy your stay. The breakfast is the BEST I have truly ever seen in my travels in Europe, plus you have the option of several different cozy spots to sit. If you love old world charm at its best, do not hesitate to book here. It is close to trams and situated within walking distance of many sites.

Nothing - it is also true if there is any noise from the bar next door - closing the windows really does block out the noise so you can sleep-not an issue at all!

The hotel is beautifully decorated with lots of little sitting rooms to enjoy. The staff were wonderful. They allowed us to check in early and stored our belongings and then had a porter bring us and our luggage to the room when we came back during normal check-in hours . Breakfast was wonderful. We had a gentleman playing the piano, several different rooms to sit in and a very well laid out buffet with eggs, fresh fruit, sauteed veggies, a variety of jams and and breads, and pastries. I was very sad we had to check out early the following day and couldn't enjoy it again. When they heard that we had to check out early, the made us a to-go bag with a few simple snacks.

The shower in the room we stayed in was a very small, and the nearest electrical outlet was across the room. No elevator (typical, but just be aware).
