I loved the communal spaces. My favorite thing to do was have a coffee on the beautiful terrace in the morning and overlook the view. My second favorite space was the living room; I'd grab my food delivery late at night and work on my laptop there.

The bathrooms could have been a better experience as far as storing our products; having more shelves or just surfaces to place our things would have been so useful. I also didn't like that the beds only came with a thin sheet and wrinkled up pillow. It also would have been nice to have more private storage in the bedrooms or if the lockers were slightly larger. Also, late at night, the streets were so noisy with people singing and shouting obnoxiously but i know that's out of the hostel's control.

Fantastic location and charming building! This hostel was recommended by a friend of mine and she was right about the good value for money.

Water in showers was not very hot, just warm. In Summer is ok but in Winter might be too cold. Bulk beds need some renovation as they are not very steady.

Hostel is very well located, has everything that you need, beds have privacy, each one has 2 assigned lockers so you can leave your stuff, room was spacious, each bed has separate socket and light, there were enough covers, and the view from the window amazing. Breakfast was good, it's basic, but for a hostel to have a breakfast like this, it's an exception. There was hot water whenever I have showered, the hairdryer was not working on my floor, but I went downstairs and used the other one without any problems. The hostel stuff is amazing. From the moment I have entered I felt good and welcomed. I wish to mention the cleaning ladies, I have interacted with two of them and they were helpful and smiling, and they are doing a great job. For the reception stuff - I had a beautiful moment with Maria and Lucas - he took a guitar, was playing some chords, and Maria and I, we were singing the invented song. Thank you, that's what life is all about. Everyone else was equally helpful and kind. I didn't use the common areas a lot, but they are nice, terrace gives you views to the river and it's nice when it's sunny ☀️ They have stored my luggage free of charge the day when I arrived early and the day I was leaving until just now when I'm leaving. Thank you everyone for your kindness, help and keep doing the good work.

Great hostel! The free breakfast had a variety of options including cereals, bread, chocolate cake and orange juice. There's a lounge to play games at, charge your phone, use a computer or watch tv, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Everything was clean and tidy and the staff was very kind and professional. Plus, apart from the city tax (2€/day) there are no additional charges. The locket for the locker is free, there's soap in the bathroom, a socket and light next to your bed and comfortable bedsheets.

The wifi didn't reach my room on the third floor sadly! But I went to the lounge to access it.

Location and building itself are great, close to public transport and restaurants and shops. Nevertheless, slept well because the near environment is quiet. Our (private) room on the first floor was spacious, clean and nicely decorated, we also had a nice little balcony with a view of the water -although this view was partly blocked by the branches of a giant tree. There’s a big garden and a rooftop terrace, we didn’t used those but they looked fine. We got fresh towels every day. Staff at reception was helpful and kind.

Some minor points of improvement could be: -WiFi is insufficient; - (in my opinion) breakfast is poor; - at breakfast I had to pay 1 euro for coffee, although coffee was included in the price of the room (?) - received 1 keycard, but travelling with 2 people I think a second keycard would have been more practical.

Amazing location, having a coffee while enjoying the view from the amazing big terrace was incredible. Attentive staff. Very good breakfast, comfortable common areas. Excellent showers. And did I mention the terrace? It’s worth it, great value for money, excellent location.

The upper bunks are very high with ladders that are not very comfortable, and the wooden floor shakes if someone walks carelessly. However, it is difficult for it to be different in an old building, even though it is very well restored and impeccable. Sleeping in a hostel means being aware that there will be noise from other guests. However, curtains on the beds, lights and outlets, and better ladders with handrails would make a big difference and would not be difficult to implement.

Common rooms like canteen, kitchen, living room were fancy and really great. Big surprise for me was an open terrace with the view. I guess there is one of the best view in sunset in the city. Very quiet inside.

Breakfast needs some vegetables and eggs at least. However bread, cheese and ham very tasty. Design of sleeping rooms could be better in comparison with common rooms. But it was ok. Placement of sockets was not very comfortable.

Everything was perfect, except for the showers... The water was always cold!!!!

24/7 reception, breakfast provided with full kitchen. Terrace with great views of Lisbon. Great location quiet despite being close the nightlife, luggage storage. Rooms with great airconditioning, hooks to hang coats and clothes. Big bed and room cleaning occured. Balcony with ocean views! Elevator too.

Shared bathrooms which normally isn't an issue but did lack cleanliness. Bed was a little hard and pillows were terrible, but extra decorative pillows were sufficient. No washing machine, but self service readily available 600m away.

Great location close to Cais de Sodre train/metro station and the river/sea front. Super views from the rooms to the rear and a great area off the dining area with fantastic views. Great kitchen and well equipped. Really good continental breakfast. Plenty of space in the dorms and secure storage there also. Definitely one of the better hostels I've stayed in and a great base for exploring Lisbon.

I found the mattresses a bit hard but that's probably just me! I prefer something softer!! The staff seem, in the main, to be volunteers and some are much better than others! That said, on balance, they were great.
