Wonderfully chic, and couldn't be in a more central location. Short walk to the train station and taxis aplenty just down the street. Was told that with the madness of Pink Street below, a good night's sleep mightn't be forthcoming, but that wasn't an issue at all. Rooms cleaned every day, beds comfy. Given a code for the door from reception unique to your room (and a backup key in case of a mishap), same code can be used to get into the hotel itself when it closes at night. Very secure.

I was on the very top floor (5th), and with no elevator, walking up the stairs, while not an issue for me, may be problematic for someone with mobility issues. The toilet/shower next to the bed was...different...too, again it didn't bother me as I was travelling alone but could be an issue for people sharing.

The room was beautifully presented, clean, and very comfortable. The facilities were great, and the staff were absolutely lovely – friendly, helpful, and quick to resolve issues. When we mentioned the noise from the street, they immediately moved us to a quieter room at the back of the hotel, which made a huge difference.

The location on Pink Street means the noise at night (especially in a front-facing room) is intense. Even with triple glazing, we found it extremely difficult to sleep due to the late-night partying outside. Not ideal for light sleepers or anyone looking for a peaceful stay.

A very warm welcome from reception on arrival . The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Due to my bag leg they offered to swap our room for our second night as we were on the 5th floor so a lot of steep stairs - however I didn’t want them to endure the cost of a change but it was a kind gesture . Lovely breakfast choices . Comfy bed . Good tv with lots of channels . We very much liked the whole ambiance of this hotel .

We had booked a superior room - but it was on the 5th floor ( no lift ) The bathroom is not very private feeling. Tiny glass screen WC cubicle right next to the bed ! Glass screen shower with a section obscured . We had absolutely nowhere to hang clothes or even hang a coat ! Not even one hook on the door . The bedside tables do not have drawers so couldn’t unpack our cases ! We were there for a lovely special time and just 2 days and so didn’t complain but have since liased with hotel about this shortcoming and they have said that all bedrooms are different . In my opinion it wasn’t superior if you can’t unpack !

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at reception. The staff where very friendly and we left our luggage with them because our room would be ready at 15:00 and we needed to do some sightseeing. They also gave us a room on the 2nd floor which was great because my wife has a problem with the stairs. When we arrived back from our sightseeing trip our luggage had been put in our room by the staff which was really a nice surprise. Our room was so unique and this must be the best hotel room we have ever stayed in on all our travels around the world. The room was quiet and the décor is beautiful. The breakfast was also excellent and fresh. The location was convenient to walk to a lot of restaurants and markets.

Having no lift in the hotel would be a problem for older people or people with disabilities.

The location is perfect, as you are close to the city's main attractions, as well as the train station and the metro station. The room was lovely and compact, with a very comfortable bed and a smart TV. My favourite part of it was the shower :D It was very hard to leave it, really comfy. We also enjoyed the breakfast very much, it was delicious, and there were quite some dishes to choose from, which kept being refilled frequently, there were never empty plates during the breakfast time.

The facility doesn t have an elevator, and we had to climb up all the way up to the 5th floor, which is a bit annoying. Another thing was the very thin walls between the rooms. Our neighbours weren't even talking loud, and yet we could easily hear the whole conversation. Last but not least, the noise outside, from the nearby clubs and pubs, but I guess that is to be expected, due to the location. I have to admit though, for the amount of noise coming from the outside the balcony doors were quite soundproof, it wasn't as bad. Very important: the bathrooms are see-through, meaning, it might not be the best option if you're coming with a friend or someone you're not particularly very close to. I see it as more of a place for couples, or people coming by themselves :)

My family and I loved our stay at this wonderfully rehabbed building/hotel on the Pink Street. Even with the busy street noise, the soundproofing was good! The thick walls helped!!! No lift but the location was worth it. The staff is superb!!!! So nice, friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotless; we had a room and a family suite. The breakfast is outstanding. And the wine and panettone and chocolate Christmas baskets in our rooms was so thoughtful for our Christmas stay!! Obrigada, 262!!

The room was lovely - a tasteful combination of clean white walls and exposed aged wood. The bed was extremely comfortable, with foam memory pillows. The shower and wc were skillfully fitted into the room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee making facilities were also provided.

Despite double windows (one of which was double-glazed) there was a lot of noise, due to the fact that the hotel is on a noisy street with a lot of bars and clubs. I could hear shouting and loud dance music pounding until 5 a.m, plus I could hear everything going on in the neighbouring rooms. This is a great pity, as the room was really comfortable.

The location is excellent. Close to everything. Very nice breakfast and good value. Very polite staff who made us feel welcome. We paid a bit extra for a deluxe room and it was nice, spacious and clean. Reading some other reviews, I expected the bathroom situation to be difficult, but it was fine. The glass is frosted and if you're really bothered by seeing the outline of your partner/travel companion whilst on the loo, just go and sit in the lounge to give them some privacy! As a mum travelling with her daughter (18yrs), I was a little bit worried about the location on a night time, but we did feel quite safe, sticking to the main streets which were well lit on an evening.

Not being able to fully open my window for fresh air, but it was a minor thing and the triple glazing really helped with the noise cancellation. Our room was at the front, on the first floor. Yes we could hear a bit of the "pump pump" music from next door, but we expected that based on the location and to be honest, the bed was so comfortable we slept really well.

The hotel is in a very historic part of town. It is a wonderful location with the BEST staff I have encountered! Very friendly and helpful!!! The facilities are a wonderful renovation of the historic building. The breakfast is outstanding. The rooms are well soundproofed in this busy part of Lisbon due to the nature of the historic building! There is no lift, but it is well worth staying in this really amazing place!!

Our family had a family suite at the hotel. There was no door on the toilet area.

Perfect location 3 mins from Cais de Sodre train and metro station, as close to all the action (Pink street:-) as it gets.

The rooms were definitely as small as they could possibly be - but who cares: ww were only there to sleep. Only caution is the steep stairs - hauling luggage up five floors was a great workout - but not for all. That being said the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful ( even more than most Portuguese who we found to be thrilled if you can master a few basic phrases!)
