Great location overlooking the piazza and near shops, restaurants and transportation. Clean and comfortable rooms.

Staff at front desk need to be friendlier. A couple of staff members were helpful, but most were annoyed that we were guests. No helpful information was provided and little effort was made to answer our questions on our first visit to a new city. The younger members of the staff were more interested in chatting amongst themselves or watching sports on television. Bordering on rude.

Location, bathroom, size of the room. Good base for seeing Lisbon. Friendly staff. No issues throughout the stay.

No water in room for drinking or kettle. No Coffee or Milk. One of the Shower heads didn't work. Bathroom could of done with a deep clean.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Borges Chiado! The room was a good size, clean, and had all the basic amenities I needed. I especially appreciated the luggage storage and the continental breakfast - definite perks. The location couldn’t have been better - right in the heart of the city with tons of great bars and restaurants nearby. If you’re into nightlife, this is a perfect spot to stay. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and kind. I stayed one night on my own, and later in the trip, my friend and I ran into an issue with a different hotel. Thankfully, the team at Hotel Borges Chiado came through and accommodated us, turning a stressful moment into an easy fix. I’d absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lisbon!

The hotel was centrally located in the old town within walking distance of numerous bars and restaurants and close to the metro station. Staff were friendly and the hotel was clean.

The initial room we were given was small and as i had paid for a superior room i notified reception who immediately gave us another room which was much bigger. I did book a room facing the front which was fine in the daytime but as this is in a very lively area at night time it was noisy. After a busy day if you sleep heavily it would be fine but if you're a light sleeper you my find the street noise intrusive even though the windows were double glazed.

The location is just perfect! Only a few steps from the Baixa-Chiado metro station and near everything, a short walk from Praça do Comércio and very near the Carmo Archaeological Museum. The staff was very friendly and the room was very comfortable and pretty.

If it was to nitpick, there were just small improvements I would make. The bathroom door was made of glass in our room, which really doesn't block any sound. The breakfast room is stunning, but I found the food a bit lacking in variety.

I liked: - the location, near the subway, in the center, close to lots of attractions - the room was clean and nice - the bad was comfortable - the lobby is quite beautiful - gym access - breakfast was good

- that they didn't have an iron available and during the weekends they don't provide this service (paid). So if you arrive on weekends, this can be an issue. - they don`t have a bar. The lobby is very big and nice, but they don`t have a bar. It would be nice to have a place to chill and drink something

The location, the grand dining room was stunning space. Our room was good, felt safe and clean.

We saw a few signs of wear and tear in our room. The wooden floor by the window had old water damage. Looked like someone left the window open during a hard rain. The bathroom needed some cosmetic repairs around the door frame.

We arrived really late at night but we were welcomed to our room in just a few minutes. The buffet breakfast was standard and the staff were most helpful at every meal (breakfast). As we moved about Lisbon, we realised that Borges Chiado was very centrally located and that is what we loved most about it. I thought I had paid too much but I realised I paid for the location.

Nothing really; everything was perfect. Our bags were kept for us at a nominal fee, our clothes were laundered and delivered to our room as promised, taxis were arranged for us without a fuss or delay and the staff at reception were always very polite and helpful.
