The professionalism of the staff, who coordinated the entire communication process. Profound details as to operational service at the guest house and intensive list of places to eat and interesting places to visit. The location was absolutely perfect, a 10- 15 minutes bus drive away from the centre city. 👌

Having to share bathroom. As an elderly person, i think there should be a facility for a private bathroom. Having to get up during the night to go over to the bathroom was not really ideal for me. Also, it would have been nice to have access to kettle for hot drinks.

It is a quiet building in a residential area. The room has a balcony with good views towards Praça Marquis de Pombal and across the street towards Parque Eduardo VII. The room has small bedside tables with a water decanter and drinking glasses. Going to Marquis de Pombal and Avenida da Libertade is convenient and Praça de Restauradores is an easy walk. Coming back by taxi is easiest. These hills at Pombal are really something!

Room 5 could use a small table or desk for my wallet, watch, keys, coins, and backpack. The bedside tables are already in use and are too small for other uses. Brighter lights, please. Oh, no. I'm old. The lamp in the dining area sideboard and in the WC are adequate. From midnight to eight a.m. more light is needed. 🔦 The corridors need faster motion sensor responses. These are tiny changes. the sleeping rooms and public areas are nicely furnished. I will stay here agsin.

My second stay at Magnolia - and would definitely come back for a third time! Nice cosy rooms, excellent breakfast with homemade foods. Welcoming host and easy check-in & check-out. Good location with bus stops directly in front of the house and metro stop nearby. Grocery stores & shopping center at walking distance.

This is not an issue for me but important for people who are sensitive to sounds - the rooms are not particularly soundproof, they are also by the side of a large road so expect noise when you have the windows open

Very spacious room with a private bathroom. Everything was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot! Breakfast was also plentiful and very tasty. The staff was very friendly and helpful with many good recommendations for restaurants and navigating the city. We had a great stay.

The automatic light at the top of the steps before you enter Magnolia Guesthouse doesn’t come on until you are up there so it’s a little dark trying to navigate it.

Nicely decorated guesthouse, just great, if you want to feel like you live in Portuguese house. Rooms are spacious. Good value for money and convenient location. The staff is really friendly and helpful, it was really nice to get some recommendations about places in Lisbon.

It’s not soundproof, so you can hear neighbors pretty well. And you need to keep in mind shared bathrooms. Breakfast could be better, some fresh pastries would really make a difference. Also climbing to the hotel from the metro with a luggage could be a challenge, so consider going by bus.

Our room (1) was spaceous and clean (with heating if required). Our private was bathroom was clean too. Surprising quiet during the night. Responsive host and pleasant staff. We enjoy using the guest house as our base to explore Lisbon. I'd stay here again.

Whilst not in control of the guest house, there was no lighting of the stairwell from the entrance going up to the first floor. It felt a bit unsafe walking up / down the stairs. (Perhaps a light bulb needs to be replaced!)

The room was big which was serviced everyday and we had a little balcony which allowed us to see Marques De Pombal square. Walking distance to train station, car hire and botanical gardens. Raquel is an amazing manager of Magnolia, offering ideas of places to see, restaurants and Pastéis de Nata shops 🙂 The breakfast she puts out has everything one needs to start the day right! Exceptional place to stay thank you 🙏🏼

Instructions to access the guesthouse were a little complex but well explained and the owner responded quickly to questions. I had a problem entering at night, so rang and they were very helpful and sorted me out. Comfortable and pleasant room. There was road noise but it was fine. The shared bathroom was small but clean and had everything needed. Breakfast had a range of help yourself selections- and a lady organising breakfast was present, a good start to the day.

Magnolia guesthouse is a very stylish building with nice Rooms, equipped with all You need during stay.The owner of the place is there to help you every time u need, a lovely Lady. Its easy to access all attractions: bus stop downstairs...metro station in close distance. Breakfast was very good ! Its very clean and neat

I liked everything

I would say the stay was very nice with comfortable bed and the breakfast was also good which had coffee, bread, yogurt, cakes, butter, eggs and thanks to raquel for making our checkin smooth on the first day. The place was very cleaned and even the bathroom was well maintained.

I think it was little bit outside city centre location. But at the door step there is a bus stop where you can take it to reach the city centre.
