The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bathrooms are a little small but the view from the balconies are spectacular. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel common areas are very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast is very good with lots of hot or continental choices.

If you were looking to spend the majority of your time in the Barrio Alto or Alfama districts you would be required to take a short cab ride or use public transit. The Hop On/ Hop Off bus is conveniently located at the foot of the hill from the hotel.

A Dream Wedding Stay at Epic Sana Pombal My partner and I had the immense pleasure of staying at the Epic Sana Pombal in Lisbon for a week, and our experience was nothing short of extraordinary. The bed was very comfortable, the WiFi was strong, the light-blocking curtains worked amazingly well. The shower had great water pressure, and the air conditioning cooled the room perfectly throughout the night. I slept well. Breakfast was fine and with long hours. This is not a fancy hotel, but it was solid and had everything I need. Good location by the park (perfect for the Lisbon Eco Marathon), and easy to reach with public transport.

Breakfast was fine but not great -- more variety and higher quality food would be nice. Note that it is a long walk to the harbor/city center area. There is an elevator, but it is small.

I loved the breakfast, there were plenty of options. I especially liked the cut fruit selection. The room was OK, it was good to have a hair dryer in the bathroom. Wifi was fast and reliable. The location was nice, the park is well worth the visit!

The whole hotel is a little dated, it looks somewhat worse than in the pictures. We paid more for the balcony room, and the view was nice, but the air-conditioner above us was constantly dripping water down on the railings of our balcony, so you couldn't lean onto the railings to enjoy the view, because you would be wet. The toilet seat was cracked and in my opinion should have been changed a long time ago. On the whole, for the price paid, I expected a little more bang for my buck :-)

The room overlooked the front entry and the park! Bed was wonderful and very nice bedding! The breakfast was wonderful! Very cute hotel! Wonderful area, I walked everywhere from here! I met my tour on foot by the landmarks down the hill by the water where all the tourist area is. I would stay here again!!

The only thing off, was they were out of a lot of the food they offered at the little bar/restaurant in the lobby. I Just went left out the front door and around the block up the hill to this great little pizza place!

The staff were really friendly and so helpful! The breakfast in the morning was lovely, lots of options, there was something for everyone!

It wasn’t a problem for me at all, but if you are going back and forward from the city centre, it is a walk up quite a steep hill to get to, so it is just worth considering if you have a mobility issues, you might need to grab a taxi!

Quiet hotel. Great views from the balcony. Polite, professional staff. Very comfy pillows 😊 excellent balcony. Close to airport and walking distance to main areas. Advice: book airport taxi through booking.com as it's far cheaper with nicer drivers/cars

Bath was very small and getting into shower was a bit of a squeeze. Room was small ISH but adequate.

The location was good, staff at the breakfast was efficient and cleaned tables very quick as well as they filled with food as soon anything got empty. The variety of food at the breakfast was tremendous. They have a bar at the lobby, a wonderfull possibility to relax after a whole day of sightseeing.

Due to the fact that airport is located in the middle of the city we had airplanes coming to landing through the night and it made it difficult to get worthy sleep because we had our windows opened during the nights. It was only one elevator which ocassionally made it difficult to board cause we lived on the 9th floor. During our stay there were some issues with hot water, it came only after 8 o´clock in the morning and we are early birds who woke up at 7.

The hotel is in excellent proximity to AIMA Lisboa office and a lot of amenities. It is an older hotel but benefits from good sized balconies, the location in general is quite nice and a good range of restaurants and services nearby. If you are starting you Portugal trip from Lisboa there are a number of rental car firms nearby. Quiet at night. The staff are universally excellent, highly professional

On the whole you are getting what you pay for, the rooms aren't newly fitted out but, power points are limited and some of the decor is a bit tired

All the above, once you get used to where everything is it is ideal as the tour buses run a five minute walk to the bottom of the park. The restuarants were very nice and some shopping. We found the cleaning staff very friendly, breakfast staff very helpful. The maintenance man came straight away when we had a problem with water in the bathroom and got sorted immediately.

A bit more information on where to go for perhaps food shopping if needed, we did find a couple of places but we were there a long time, so had time to look around t would have been useful to have a bit more information from reception staff, maybe, a local map, or even a list of nearby places. The park was lovely and the planetarium very peaceful, which is in the park, and very reasonable fee, although on a sunday it is free.
