Bathroom was spacious and very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great with the metro and tour buses nearby. Easy walk to old Lisbon and several restaurants near the hotel. Lots of choice with breakfast.

Bed's were small, however this was quite common with most hotels in Portugal.

Our room had a great view to the park but it was very noisy because of the road, you could hear all the cars and motorbikes the whole night

Our stay was very comfortable. We were greeted with a lovely note, which made our stay much much better :) Hotel gives the impression of 4-start hotel. Location is very comfortable to reach all important destinations either by metro or by taxi. Excellent breakfast for vegetarians with hot options. Even though it was quite loud outside, the windows were quite tight so you couldn't hear the noise. Large bed in Double Room with 2 types of pillows. The staff was very friendly, attentive and supportive (with availability of 24h). Clean. Green view out of window. Good WIFI and laptop-friendly desk if you need to work remotely. There are nice restaurants nearby.

During breakfast I would suggest that plant-based milk is available already on the stands (without need to ask). The bed was too soft to our liking. I wish the AC was working (cooling) better as it was a bit hot at night in winter.

Location and staff

If you are driving the entrance is hard to see until you are past it. Very tight entrance (again if driving) and hard to gain entrance to check in. Once in, you are immediately confronted with steps while you try to enter with luggage. I walk with a cane and was traveling solo—needlessly complicated and minimally accessible for me. Once I got upstairs to the reception area staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. But the initial approach was sufficiently off-putting and difficult (I had to use my cane to wedge the door ajar after it buzzed open, so I could hobble back to the car and retrieve a bag to swap places with the cane), that I would probably not return.

I arrived at 9am as I had an early flight and simply asked to store my bag so I could explore Lisbon before check-in at 3pm. I was pleasantly surprised when they were able to give me a room there and then and at no extra charge. That would not happen in Ireland... The location is perfect for exploring Lisbon and the staff are super friendly and helpful. It really is a lovely hotel and I hope to stay there again when I return to Lisbon.

I was on the first floor (room 002) directly over the restaurant and there was some noise in the morning when guests were at breakfast. Nothing a pair of ear plugs couldn't fix. Not an issue if you are above the first floor. Other than that I could not fault this hotel.

Staff very helpful; spoke many languages. Very safe and overall comfortable. Convenient location (as expected!): it just happened that there was a book festival when we were there: wow, tons of book booths in the nice nearby park!

A bit expensive for what we were looking for, but everything is expensive now in Lisbon. I was asked to pay in full well in advance to what it was supposed to be, because of a supposedly "issue with my card", which I did not like. We skipped the breakfast (a little pricey).

This hotel is very well located to the Mq. Pombal metro station. Parque Eduardo VII, and Av da Liberdade, so it's easy to get to Time Out Market, the Alfama, and everywhere The reception staff was exceptionally friendly and helped us with answers to our many questions. More than anything, Fenix Garden gets five stars for their very comfortable beds & bathroom, with a shelf under the sink to hold all of our travel items. You don't know how important this is until you're in a typical European bathroom with only one towel hook and no counter space. AND, there was a full-length mirror in the bedroom so one of us could use it when someone else was in the bathroom. Because we were two friends traveling together, the only thing we lacked was a second luggage rack. There was also a very convenient mini frig in our room, as well as a personal safe in the closet. The morning breakfast downstairs offered abundant options. We especially liked being able to make our own coffee from the espresso machine. We also enjoyed the fresh fruit, breads, yogurt, cheeses, hard-boiled eggs, and cold cuts. There was even turkey ham! We highly recommend it!

Only a small thing: Having one luggage rack, two would have been better for us.

Exceptional stay in the city center of Lisbon. We got a free upgrade to a King size room with a view to the park across the street. I was pleasently surprised with fireworks on my birthday, at midnight from the park - think they were for Madeira’s celebration, but made me very happy. The hotel is very well placed, near the subway, 2-3 stations aways from the busy city center. Room was very clean and the staff friendly.

Very narrow car park, but we managed to squeeze just fine.

Breakfast - fantastic value. Paid for breakfasts for 3 mornings and got breakfast on the 4th morning for free! Fantastic range of food - best we had ever seen. Spotless dining room, friendly and helpful staff. Room - comfortable, great view, clean linen and towels daily, very quiet at night (not a sound heard!) Location - brilliant. Pick up point for the Hop on Hop off tour buses just across the road. Just a short walk to all the restaurants where there was a great 'buzz'! Metro stop just outside the door. Reception staff - very helpful and friendly. In particular we have to mention Diana and Ghee(William in English!). Their advice on places to visit was invaluable and they were always cheerful and accommodating. A pleasure to deal with. We would highly recommend the HF Fenix Garden to anyone travelling to Lisbon.

There was nothing about our stay that we didn't like.

Convenient location, near to transport (metro and buses), park, shopping, cash points and food (cafe around the corner for breakfast if needed). Air con worked well and bedding was comfortable. Garden area was very nice and chill.

Shower head didn't always stay upright and shower doors hard to close straight, but was fine once you got used to it. Hairdryer plug casing kept falling off but still worked, just a little annoyance. A lot of noise from traffic, but the air con helped to drown it out after first night.
