My husband and I recently had a 4 night stay and it was lovely. All the staff were so helpful and friendly. The location was great. Just a few minutes walk to Rossio Square where most of our tours left from. Tram 28 and 15E both stopped around the corner. The room was spacious and the bathroom was too. There is a supermarket close by. We received several little treats on our stay each day which was a lovely touch. We were made to feel very special.

Not the hotel’s fault but there seems to be a gang of men around the corner from the hotel who often yelled. It made me feel unsafe to walk past.

I can safely say that, in all my years of travelling, I have never experienced service like it in any hotel in any country in the world at any time. It was that good. And it was the simple things and most importantly the personal touch. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with the most generous of smiles and the most helpful attitude I have ever witnessed at an hotel reception desk. We could not have been treated better. We could not have had more done for us. And that continued throughout the stay - from the preparation of the perfect room to the treats in the room (and later), to the invite to a wonderful wine tasting event in the hotel's wine cellar with the manager, right through to the always cheerful and extremely helpful attitude of every single one of the staff we met ! I'd like to especially call out out welcoming receptionist (and I won't offend by trying to spell her name as I know I'll get it wrong but she brought the best part of Brazil to Lisbon and you should be proud to have her -she's exceptional !!) to the gentleman who showed us to, and explained everything in, our room to us in such a professional and friendly manner. Kudos also to the manager, not alone for the wine tasting invite but also for his excellent company and for bringing guests together like he did - I just wanted to make sure that you knew that such things are appreciated! We could also not fault the cleanliness of the hotel or the food - both of which matched the overall exemplary service. I'd recommend this hotel to everyone and anyone coming to Lisbon at any time.

I stayed here with my son, and our experience was truly exceptional. The rooms were comfortable, and the ambiance made us feel instantly relaxed. However, it was the staff that really made our stay unforgettable, especially Diogo. His warmth and genuine care shone through, and he took a special interest in my son's journey, offering words of encouragement before his competition and celebrating with us after his success. Diogo's support truly added a personal touch that meant a lot to both of us. We look forward to coming back!

The breakfast selection could use a bit more variety to enhance the morning experience

Lovely rooms, very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice touch of the complimentary snacks etc. 10% discount at local rooftop bar and restaurant is great plus free welcome drink. Good location for all the sights. Would recommend.

Pillows too soft! No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Minibar pricey. Hotel is close to less salubrious area, felt a little unsafe nearby after dark.

Very centrally located - Martim Moniz for Tram 28E, Praca da Figueira - for tram 15E to Belem, Rossio - for day trip coaches - all within 5 minutes walk. Staff were excellent - very patient and articulate. Special mention for Alexandra, Joao, Anonessa, Mariana and the Brazilian guy in the ground floor Bar - they always seemed to go the extra mile to make you comfortable. There is a welcome drink on arrival, a Ginjinha drink on the first evening and another Port drink on the last evening before departure - all complimentary! Breakfast was good. Taxi from the airport took €20 - and the driver insisted on cash - so you may want to keep some cash with you or else there’s also a cash machine nearby. Went to the rooftop bar on the last evening- it had good vibes and a very good view of the Castle specially during dusk and when the lights came on.

We booked 6 nights and the experience was perfect. It starts with a smiling and pleasant welcome. The location is ideal, literally walking distance to most sites and the metro. The breakfast is very good from the champagne to the fruits. The room is spacious with a wardrobe and drawers The hotel is intimate and you feel a personal relationship with all the staff members. The hotel manager introduced himself and sent us invitations for wine tasting and more... All our requests were answered positively and immediately. We received the local liqueur, a bottle of wine, chocolates, and a bottle of water in the room every day. This is a real boutique hotel, we do not doubt that we will return

For us, a walk-in shower is better than a bath

The staff, particularly Andressa, Marienna and Aerlindo, were very helpful, assisting us with our requirements. They provided us with information about the city, helped us with transport, and ensured that we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, and had all the amenities of a 5-star hotel. Breakfast was excellent. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel entrance is not accessible by car, but is only about 2 to 3 minute-walk from the nearest taxi drop-off station. Not a big problem, but good to know if you're carrying several large pieces of luggage like we did.

This is a very nice hotel, located in a central spot of old Lisbon - very well situated for exploring medieval neighbourhoods as well as the 18th century part of town. The room was ample and spotless, with lots of white and cobalt blue! The bathroom especially was grand: a bath/shower combo AND a spacious separate walk-in shower, alongside two sinks, a toilet and a bidet. All in all, lots of space. Free Nespresso coffee and water. What was especially nice were the occasional small snacks that were brought up to the room, just as a kind gesture. Staff were very friendly and exceedingly helpful; nothing seemed too much to ask. The hotel is joined on the block with the Hotel Imperial, which also hosts the parking garage underneath it. You can take the backdoor of the hotel to move between both of them. The garage is pretty narrow, doable but not for the anxious driver necessarily. On the other hand, parking is very affordable there (15 euros for 24hrs). There's an option to have a room on the northeast exterior side of the building which should grant you views of the castle from the upper floor. Ah yes, the Imperial Hotel also has a rooftop bar with spectacular views of Lisbon and the river. I would recommend staying here with friends or family.

It was a very comfortable stay, mostly due to the courteous staff and the excellent condition of the room.

The perfect location - in the heart of Lisbon. Professional, well trained staff, medium-size hotel with very spacious and beautifully decorated rooms. Many little nice details - excellent experience!

There a couple of Reception staff members who I interacted with who came across as a bit condescending. I was annoyed with the check-out when I had to go back and forth with the receptionist on whether we have drunk a beer from the mini-bar which we had not. It made me feel uncomfortable to have to explain that we did not drink the beer in question...

Staying at the Royal Boutique Hotel was one of the highlights of our Lisbon trip. Located just a 5-minute walk from the city center and the starting point of Tram 28, it’s in a perfect spot—central yet peaceful. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were incredibly helpful, walking us through maps and all the must-see places in Lisbon. Their warmth really set the tone for our stay. Our room was spacious, neat, and beautifully maintained—with a touch of quiet luxury. We were welcomed with a complimentary drink at the bar, which was such a nice start. But what truly stood out were the evening surprises. On the first night, after a long day of sightseeing, we returned to our room to find Ginja (a delicious Portuguese cherry liqueur) waiting for us—served alongside marshmallows and cherries. The next evening, we were surprised with a small bottle of Toni Port wine, accompanied by fresh strawberries and snacks. And every night, when we turned down the bed, there was a small chocolate tucked into the sheets—a simple but lovely gesture that made us smile. The staff made sure every detail felt thoughtful, and the hotel felt like a cozy retreat at the end of each day. I left feeling truly cared for. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Lisbon who wants comfort, great location, and genuine hospitality.
