Welcoming staff from moment arrived, super helpful and friendly and polite every interaction. The location is fantastic moments from main square and Rossio station, Main Street with arch, trams outside, handy to everywhere. Fantastic breakfast and rooftop bar breathtaking but staff exceptional. I haven’t been treated as well or welcomed as much by a hotel in a long time a lot of hotels could learn from them about service

We spent a week at the hotel Mundial and were honestly well looked after without being overwhelmed. The hotel were not intrusive and yet the small things that they did without us asking were pleasant surprises and made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. The room exceeded our expectation in that it was much larger than we had expected. Tea/coffee facilities, mini bar, hairdryer, bath robes and slippers, TV and water were all at our disposal. The beds were comfy and the room very clean. The bathroom was also much bigger than expected with a bath AND a separate shower, 2 basins, a toilet and a bidet. Again all very clean with amenities kept topped up. Breakfast was all that you could desire - hot and cold buffet, cereals, different fruits daily, a variety of bread rolls and pastries daily, pancakes, jams and yoghurts, there wasn’t really anything missing! Coffee is from a machine and tea pots are available for the selection of teas offered. The staff are welcoming and ready to answer all questions. Hats off to the door staff, these guys are constantly smiling and attentive and more than willing to have a chat with you and listen to what you’ve done or where you’ve been during the day. They’ll even engage in offering their tips on where to go or what they recommend.

There’s really not much to say here. In the rooms I guess some coat hooks by the door would be a great addition. The cleaners sometimes cleaned at 3/4pm which would be siesta time so sometimes it was a little awkward/disturbing. Breakfast could start a little earlier at 6am or 6:30am rather than 7am since you have to be at the tour meeting point at 8am so it doesn’t leave a lot of time for breakfast.

The staff was soooo lovely and upgraded us, have us a free drink and brought port and patties to our door! So kind thank you!

The hotel is very centrally located and right in the middle of the touristic locations. Especially as a family with children, it was very important to be able to reach the hotel whenever we wanted. Although it was not a very new hotel, it was really clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the air conditioners in the room were enough for heating. Breakfast was very good and the variety was sufficient. The staff were generally courteous and helpful. The fact that they kept our luggage until the flight time and that there was a lobby where you can have coffee and tea and relax at any time of the day was a well thought out detail. Rooms a bit outdated but it was clean, comfortable and in the heart of lisbon

Fabulous staff who were extremely helpful and friendly. They collected our bags directly from the taxi upon arrival and when we needed to change rooms (due to only having two single beds on the first night & moving us to a double bed for the remainder of the stay) they handled the moving of our baggage. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of foods. We are late risers so we loved that they served until 10.30am. The highlight for me was the orange juice was freshly squeezed every morning! The room was gorgeous, really comfortable bed and great views of the castle from our balcony. Big bathroom with a shower & bath alongside robes. The room was cleaned everyday by a lovely woman who was so friendly every morning :) On the 8th floor there is a panoramic restaurant which we ate from one evening. It was the most delicious food we had during our entire trip in Lisbon. It was a little more expensive than other restaurants we ate from but the service was second to none. Absolutely incredible hospitality and stunning views.

I didn't dislike anything about the hotel itself, the only downside is that is it located beside a fire station and a busy road which can be a little frustrating if you like silence to sleep. Also, Praça Martim Moniz located right out the front of the hotel feels unsafe at night due to the number of men lingering about - I would recommend women avoiding this area if possible when it gets dark.

Perfect central location for exploring Lisbon. Lots of options at breakfast. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. The extra treats provided in our room were a lovely touch.

The only issue we had was that the air conditioning in our room didn't work - we were told it only operated in that part of the hotel during the summer months. We did find it quite warm and had to sleep with our balcony door open every night (I wouldn't have been comfortable with this if we hadn't been six floors up). Ironically, we had received a free room upgrade - if we'd been in the original room we booked, the air conditioning wouldn't have been an issue and we wouldn't have known what we were missing!

The welcome greeting at the hotel was friendly and professional; the staff in Reception, the rooftop bar and the panoramic restaurant for breakfast were exceptional. The breakfasts were amazing. The location of the hotel was perfect for discovering the area by foot (the castle, cathedral, waterfront etc) as well as being close to train, metro and tram connections. Our 'Superior Room with City View' on the 8th floor was comfortable and highly recommended.

Being in the city centre was great - but it did include the weekend late-night street problems with police car sirens etc. No problems at all in the daytime: peaceful and friendly everywhere.

Located near main sights with good restaurants and bars around. Reception staff welcoming and friendly and organised airport transfer service. Room was large, comfortable and clean. Door security staff friendly and helpful. Panoramic restaurant staff friendly and breakfast choice suburb. Would recommend this hotel as a base for a stay in Lisbon.

Could do with a lick of paint especially on the outside of the hotel. Bathroom could do with a refurbishment along with no baths and showers as dated. Local authorities should deal with migrants and beggars hanging around the location of the hotel. Bar staff uninterested as sat in bar one night for 20 minutes without any service while 3 male staff members stood at end of bar laughing and joking with each other, so left without being served.
